Wish someone would buy Martin and bring them back
I just received a Mathews fx right hand in a trade, and desperately needs new strings and a cable.
Fantastic and very informative video! I had the bow and set it up watching your video, worked a treat. Thanks again from Scotland.
The new manual is trash yours explains everything mine is a confusing mess thank you for this video
Is there any way to adjust the idler wheel lean without drawing the bow? I have a Matthew’s Creed XS and I’m learning to tune it. I just put the idler where it looked good when the bow was at rest but I’m unsure if that’s within spec. Otherwise it’s timed and perfectly in spec ATA
Paper tuning… can be a nightmare. In most cases if the bow is in spec., rest is close, nock point is close, wheel lean is close, arrow spine close…it’s a shooter issue. I have definitely been there myself. The paper (in my opinion) is by no means the final word. You can get a bullet hole at one distance, move up or back and it changes. I just use paper to get close. I am ok with a slight nock left tear (as a right hand shooter) (opposite for left hand shooters), for clearance reasons. If you bow hunt,ALWAYS tune your bow to group broad heads with practice tips. Fixed AND expandable heads. If it’s not a practice tip, it WILL NOT fly and hit “exactly “ like a practice tip, because it is not exactly like a practice tip. Sure at close range they will be “close enough “. When you get your broad heads to touch your field tips at 60 yards, then you are “tuned”.
This was exactly the video I was looking for! Thank you!
Do they make em left hand?
You second arrow on riser window face is excellent. Most videos tell you to look at riser as center shot alignment method. This simply does not work with the cams being offset in the limbs on this bow. I also used a second arrow on face of top cam to sight as parallel with arrow check. Amazing how many "experts" forget about cam position being offset.
I wanted a small compound bow just because I had never used one and bought this but instructions were horrible but I got it together but something seemed off and I found your video and sure enough I had one thing on the outside that belonged on the inside so thank you.
What is the best brand of arrow and size and weight
How do i get 80% letoff on the sanlida dragon x8
I had in back in August. First time having it but got over it quickly
Killed many deer with this bow
Where did you get these for $45?
Looking for first bow.....Bear Species EV RTH for $402 otd OR Bear Adapt 2 RTH for $563 otd??
What type of vise are you using?
I would like one of these in bottomland
Thank you! This video helped way more and faster then the "Official" video on it! Only thing is you left out the arrow holder which attaches to the bow. But great video!
I’ll be bringing mine in when I need new strings👍
I did used to have one. It got stolen from a break in. I replaced it with a Jennings CMX. It was as close as I could find to the one I had. I believe it was 2002. I still use the CMX!
I had my Sanlida Dragon supertuned with new strings by the Archery Shack guys in the summer of 2022 (well over 2 years ago). There was no peep twist after they did their work, and there is still no peep twist today! The bow is also still holding the same draw weight and shoots the same as when they tuned it. Thanks Jeremy and crew!
Appreciate you my friend
You can either tighten it or loosen it to increase or decrease the weight. But which is which? You didn’t really answer any questions here.
Maybe you should stick to ping pong and video games if this is an actual question?
Just buy an Excalibur recurve style crossbow and you can shoot 1000 arrows on the string and it’s fine.. you also can change at home simple takes 2 minutes… all this can shit with these ravin crossbows and having to change string/cables every year or every 250 shots is insane… ($140 each time for new cables) if you enjoy shooting your crossbow and like to target shoot with it and Have fun this crossbow is not what you should buy seriously.. this is for hunting only not shooting for fun at all.. sad if your buying this to hunt only and never shoot it cause you don’t wanna keep buying cables/strings.. sad
I agree bud! I have 7 Excalibur's and you can't beat their customer service- However, I also own an R10 & R5X that I use for hunting as I use my Excalibur's for target shooting, but I would have no problems using my Excals for hunting either... And you are correct, it gets expensive changing the C&S on the Ravin's. Fortunately, I bought my own press
@@kurtglo ya, I hunt with my crossbow or unused to, not so much lately so mainly target shoot and the ravins are just too much maintenance.. you can’t shoot o w hundreds of times a month without changing the strings.. which is ridiculous as they are $150-$200. String on my revx is like $30 and I usually change it once a year with damn near 1000 shots in it
@@xGR1MxREAPERx Revx. what's that? lol. I bought one and started having problems with the decock and it's been at their warranty service since sept 15th. Just got a message today saying that it's going to be sent to Canada for repairs because they are too busy in Massachusetts to work on their crossbows. I agree with the rev x serving. It will last for several hundred shots
@@kurtglo rev x is a model of Excalibur crossbows.. like I literally said in the post.. lol. All crossbows have a ton of maintenance in limbs and strings etc… on a recurve you can do all the maint and work yourself. In a bow with a bunch of idlers and pulleys 90% of people can’t have pay $100’s of dollars a year to fix or change parts. This is if you actually shoot a bunch with your crossbow, if you buy it and barely use it then who gives a fuck
Black eagle rampage 50 grain outsert custom raps tac vains and a left helix
Hey yall want to do a collaboration at tab archery would love to hang with y’all
When y’all going back I’m 20 mins from wanly to do a collaboration
trophy ridge propel
Wish could find one of these now
Thank you ! Very knowledgable and helpfull ya showed me things I never knew and put me on the right track to get my Mathew’s dialed in thanks again you guys are great !!
Good talk
Have you ever had a pin that holds the cam and limbs together bend? I just got mine back from getting restrung and I noticed after my 3rd shot the limbs on right side are drifting apart and the pin is bent and pulling through. Looks super sketchy dangerous now
Does direction of helical on vanes mater with these?
Available?
Hey guys…what’s the lead time on strings right now?
Though I think blade strength is relative during testing, I could care less what they look like after I recover my deer and I've recovered every single one with this head....In short order with a ridiculous amount of blood to follow! ONE OF THE BEST MECHANICAL HEADS EVER PRODUCED!
I had one blow up in the woods at full draw and bruised my rib
At mid 60s draw weight? Would this bow tune to a 300 grain fixed blade broadhead in a 31 inch 300 spine arrow, total weight 630 grains? Coming from a recurve, I’d like to be able to use my current arrow setup, with my heavy broadheads
Can someone explain to me how to get the axel out. I popped the ears off the axle bolt but have no idea how to remove it
Did you end up figuring it out
I got 2 and they shoot like shit. you aint kidding about how they jump when you shoot. That causes the arrows to fly all over the place. any suggestions?
Thanks for the video! Busy busy! Hey do yall carry Darton bows? I thought I saw a video where you were going to but don't know what year that was. I just finished watching every video you guys have made! One month! I work, I just watch and work!😂
We appreciate you my friend! We don't stock them but I can get them. Since they are now owned by black eagle they set us up to be able to order.
Good seeing yall !!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The way they are made you will damage them trying to pull them out. Your best test is go hunting with them
I just got this same bow in the mail last Friday ordered it from lancaster archery. Realized my cam was damn near touching one of my limbs and it was cocked away from the string bad. Do i need to have the shims swapped or will just twisting a cable fix this. This is my first hybrid cam bow so its all new. Ud think as big as a company Bear is theyd take better pride in aligning their products up before shipping rm out the door!!!! Or the place u order a bow from checks this kinda shit.
That’s so slow
It's really not.
how fazt wpuld shot at 26.5 dl at 65 pound_-_
Firefighters, can afford Sitka? 😮😂
I see my bow
it's good that they don't build cars, because after buying, you should go to the service center to adjust the wheels...
Well said
