Nice video Kryzzp! I just finished this game yesterday on my Steam Deck. I used Medium settings no DOF and MB with dynamic resolution set to 45 and refresh rate set to 40. It was a decent experience for me but there were visual noises on spiderman but wasn’t that bad.
@@Chinonsoashimole oh yeah, use TAA and 45fps graphics. I think I use 16x anitripics or whatever it's called. Then med to high graphics on everything but traffic And pedestrians. No bloom. No film grain. On steam os I lock to 40fps.
@@Chinonsoashimole there is something else I think I turned off but I can't remember. One of those filter settings like Bloom or the film grain. One of the ones where you got to look it up to see what it even does.
You know, they should have added fog over the city to mask it so that when you jump so high up, the GPU doesn't have to render all those massive buildings. Maybe they should have added that as an option to help low end PCs
Why you didn't tested the igti and XeSS upscalers? The way I play Spider-Man remastered it's by taking the medium preset and tweaking some things up and some down (like traffic and pedestrians), you could also turn down a bit shadows to squeeze more performance but I would aim 40/45fps instead of 60. If I want pure quality image I take the high preset and I lower some things (again pedestrians, traffic density and maybe shadows to medium), turn off dynamic res and turn on XeSS upscaling, it's close to native and you can get a few more fps with a clean image, the only problem is that has a little bit of ghosting if you take a close look but I prefer it over FSR that makes the image noisy in this kind of games.
seems like Cyberpunk is going to be even more demanding in the Phantom liberty update, I wonder if they will re-evaluate the verify status for steamdeck or not cause in no way it would be able to manage to meet the cpu requirements even for 600p low settings
I'm convinced it will have exactly the same performance as current cyberpunk. Honestly I'm convinced they are upping the requirements to bring some clout to it.
@@Jasontvnd9 apparently they are going to overhaul the ai, ragdoll and physics , so they have upped the CPU req like crazy. Now you need a 7700x for 1080p low lmao

Do you have a rog ally. Something I like to see if you have one is to test out ray tracing. Games like control cyberpunk and Spiderman remastered tested with ray tracing would be cool.
Ratchet and clank does not work on steam deck. It’ll run but it runs poorly and your deck will run super hot. At least in my experience (I know I’m 7 months late, this is for others who might be curious)
Hey Kryzzp, I was just wondering if you could possibly review the Katana 15 B13V I believe it’s called, the RTX 4060, i7-13620H CPU and 16 gigs of ram. I’m looking to purchase one but am concerned about what I’m getting for my money. Would help a lot :)
Yes the ally can do all of this in 1080p with maybe a smidge more fps on average, but it takes much more tweaking and probably gets half of the battery life of a steam deck. With an oled sd you are getting a better picture with double the battery life on the go, and a better operating system with better optimization for steam games.. I will definitely be picking up a oled steam deck.
@@uncasiotremoto6876 I played up to around 90% completion before I stopped, and that was on an 11 year old laptop with a GT520M. Sure it wasn't a locked 60, but I never felt like I was held back, as it was closer to that than it was to 30.

The asus rog ally’s pre installed cpu (Ryzen z1 Extreme) is equivalent to a 7840 U and the gpu is equivalent to realistically a gtx 1060 to being extremely close to the gtx 1650 which should get you 60 fps on high settings at 720 p. Because it’s so new, with time, the amd drivers will push the graphics card to its absolute limit and squeeze out more performance, so it will most likely be comparable to a rtx 2050 In due time. Honestly, it is very good value for money, especially the lower end ones if you can open them and put an SSD in yourself.
