Thanks man. I myself would never have guessed how to open it. Did the same thing in 2024.

Thanks a lot for making this! I just found out my belt was completely disintegrated, and I'd like to replace it, but I'll neet o know what size the belt needs to be! Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi and thanks for watching! I'm sorry to say that this was a one-off and I didn't keep a record of the size I used for this one. I'd recommend buying a set of cheap ones from eBay (1mm square section). You should find one that fits in the multipack. This should sound ok, but if it is a little bit wobbly, at least you can then use the belt as a reference to order up a nicer quality belt of the correct size. Hope that helps, and thanks again!

This sounds like a problem with the auto stop mechanism. Assuming there is no physical damage to the mechanism, a new belt and a clean of the mech should sort it, as the auto stop kicks in when the supply spool is not turning for a short while. The player thinks the tape has come to the end, so automatically stops playing.

Well spotted! I noticed and rectified it after filming. Basically, there's a notch that lines up with the indicator, so when you assemble it, you need to make sure it is in the centre. I sold the unit quite some time ago without issue, so the adjustment definitely worked in the end. Thanks for watching 👍
