    Apparently reddit and a lot of other TH-camrs said that the new Exo-49 Emancipator sucks lol. These are just my thoughts, I'm having fun with it. Let me know what you guys think.
    Edit* I said in the video that you can't take out Dropships. I was wrong. You CAN take out Dropships, it just isn't worth doing because it wastes so much ammo. Sorry about that!

      It seems garbage compared to every other option. Also this thing should be somewhat broken. First, you are sacrificing being able to deploy other stratagems while in it. Second, you only have two uses with a ten minute cooldown. Third, It has limited ammo that will run out quickly. Fourth, you are taking up a stratagem slot (and since you recommend running the shield as well, that's another slot taken). Those four things are massive negatives and it doesn't help that the other mech can do an effectively the same job (after being nerfed as well). Everything should be stronger than they currently are (especially stratagems). I've stopped playing the game due to the guns not being fun anymore. It also didn't help that they fucked with the patrol spawners and I was solo diving on Helldiver difficulty before it and now I'm forced to play with others or play lower levels. I'm hoping the next update will buff most things in the game but I'm doubtful currently.

      @@Dream11Walker The balance dev can't even make the AC, AC Sentry and Emancipator mech do the same or similar damage when they fire the exact same rounds. Alexus has to be fired.

    Give the mech a stratagem launcher, the ability to utilize them while inside the mech would improve QOL for the mech.

    If anyone is curious the durable dmg of this mech is 60 while the auto cannons durable damage is around 260. So if you are curious why the dmg is so lacking against any armored target when the auto cannon can normally take it out easily that is why.

      Yea its not a glitch, havent you noticed the piff piff sound it makes when firing, it’s a potato cannon mech

      The mech rather carries the autocannon you use, than the autocannon turret. And i dont think thats bad, if that mech wouls kill bile titans with 5-10 shots it would be way too strong and definetly getting nerfed, and then people would cry again.

    I still think they should use a supply backpack as a way to refill ammo on the mechs because if we can't have both we just need a way to refill ammo

      The shield packback should expand to cover the mech or we could have a ship upgrade that give mech a shield generator

    "Mech player" should be a valid startegy, imo. Especially with limited ammo on the mechs

      It kinda is, but you need teammates to support you. A map objective like a SEAF maintenance depot that will rearm and repair mechs and vehicles would be a cool idea

    It also struggles to shoot downward, which means its not great in any map with verticality. I was fighting some berserkers from a higher defensive position and i swear I was aiming at their feet/lower torso and the shots were wizzing harmlessly right over their heads.

      I feel like that was a trait brought over from a patriot exotic nerf for the Rocket parts. Kind suck tho

      Try putting a sentry. Then replace the sentry with another mech. But my advice is avoiding the old mech...

    It's okay. If they fix the aim it'll be solid. If they add more durable damage (say 80 instead of 60) then it'll be good. Because let's be real, for a stratagem with a 10m cooldown, this should be a huge in spike in power.

      Nah man I think 150 durable ay least, the other autocannons have 300 and 260 durable dammage.

      @@Paradox1012It needs 260 durable damage, there’s no reason the handheld autocannon should be stronger than a freaking mech autocannon. It also needs its durability buffed. Factory Striders, tanks, and Turret Towers one shot every mech in the game right now.

      It uses the same guns as the autocannon sentry my guy. It should AT MINIMUM do the same damage as the handheld MINI autocannon. Why is this mechs guns canonically weaker than a handheld weapon when it uses the same guns as the sentry?

    I kinda wish they had a readout for the integerity for the mech since its so easy to get stuck and die as it burns up

      I wish instead of getting more mechs we got to customize the weapons on the mechs. There is no reason any super strat couldn’t be an arm. Suped up mini gun, rail cannon, spear, airburst, grenade launcher… some might be more hazardous than others, but still would be rad.

      Airburst mech sounds like it would kill itseld in 2 shots and do literally nothing to the enemies.

    With what little I played, I had fun playing around with the new Emancipator Mech. I learned it can one shot a Stalker if it can land a head shot. With how efficient it is at breaking holes/fabricators I can see myself using this more in Bug Blitz missions, which is nice considering how much I used the Patriot for them.
    Speaking of the Patriot, I do hope they fix its rockets to be more accurate. That would make it more efficient at killing heavies than the Emancipator and give a reason to still consider using it over the latter depending on what you want your mech to kill.

    Against the bots I love to bring the spear with this mech because you can easily get out of the mech and take out all of the cannons/tanks and keep on wrecking house against the bots. Or be that cool teammate that brings the spear to support your mech brothers whatever works but I noticed having the spear on hand is a great way to survive in the mech longer.

      If you’re worried about the spear lock on against shit like the hulks I recommend bringing the railgun or other hulk killing support weapons also. It’s a little unorthodox bringing two support weapons but trust me it works.

      @@KrimsonStorm completely fair or just bring a recoiless/quasar. I just like the spear because it one shots the cannons (most of the time). But any of the aforementioned support weapons would work also.

      There’s no reason the auto cannon rounds shouldn’t be armor piercing. Armor piercing rounds should be standard loadout for a mech against literal metal enemies. A basic devastation takes 3 shots to kill. And you can’t kill tanks so you have to get out of the mech and use a stratagem or something. That’s nuts. You’d never ever do that. You’d never use non armor piercing rounds for this type of weapon.

      Not if you shoot it once with the quasar cannon in the face, then tap it once with both cannons, goes down insanely fast

      You have 150 shots ammunition, that would then be enough to kill 7 bile titans. Or you just get out of the mech and use Quasar or EAT. Idk what you complain about, its not like your locked in the mech until it gets destroyed. If the bile titan is already that close, that you dont have enough time to reload for the second shot, youre dead either way

    After trying it out it just felt like another strat I'll never use. It's not very versatile and is easily out maneuvered. This may be a skill issue but that combined with the weird inaccuracy of the cannons makes this a no go for me

      Inacurracy? I mean the only thing i dont like about the mechs is that theire getting destroyed sometimes instantly and sometimes never, and that i cant really aim down with the ac

      @@LeroxYT You kind of have to zero in your shots because it does not go directly where your reticle is, it is either a little to the left or right depending on which side you fire.

      you have to give them time but also maybe not fore everyone. i love both mechs and do really well with them, but i enjoy it so ive practiced alot

    It feels like this mech and several other things like assault rifles were balanced for low difficulties. Which sucks because you need lethality on the higher difficulties. 20 shots to kill a bile titans might be fine on difficulty 4 where you have to fight one or two bile titans to complete the mission but that’s not at all fine on difficulty 6 through 9 where you have to fight multiple heavies at any giving time through out the mission.
    Same thing with the assault rifles. The assault rifles have a high TTK which again is fine on the lowest difficulties where you aren’t fighting many enemies but on the higher difficulties where you have to fight swarms of enemies that become progressively more varied, why would you choose an AR with a really bad time to kill over something like the Scorcher, or Dominator, or any shotgun that has a much shorter TTK and can appropriately deal with groups of enemies?

      you are supposed to do better against a boss, right? Bile titan is a boss right now. So you can use a quasar cannon before, then you only need 3 shots with new mech to kill it.

      @@wise5526 That's all well and good....if you're fighting a single Bile Titan and nothing else. That strategy doesn't work with multiple Titans, along with Chargers, Spewers, and the fodder all rushing at you as well.

      You can bring both mechs, there's just currently a glitch that replaces the first mech unless you pick something else for your second slot. So if you pick Emancipator - ANYTHING ELSE - Patriot then it works fine

      In the original you could bring duplicates of the same stratagem too - and the squad was forced to stick together making duplicate vehicles less abusable.. not the same at all

    the old mech missiles are nerfed, used to be 2 shots for shrieker nests and spores, but now its 3-4. and it takes 8 shots+ to take down a bile titan.

      I'm pretty sure thats because they increased the armour on the nests and spores, still a nerf to the old mech but not a direct nerf.

      @@Leons060 Shrieker nests were untouched, but Spore Spewers had their health and armour increased to be on par with Shrieker Nests, also Patriot's missiles were nerfed almost two months ago in Patch 01.000.200 to only have armour penetration on direct hits by removing explosion armour penetration completely, which overall nerfed its armour penetration capabilities
      Along with a change to a pod that's hard to aim with, its anti-armour capabilities are lacking

    7-8 shots to kill a gunship.... that's worse than just using a regular autocannon

      But you get 150 shots total and a giant armored mech to take hits for you while you ride inside. That's probably the trade off.

      @@SwanyPlaysGames I'd argue there's already fair, but big trade offs baked into the mech stratagems inherent restrictions (2 uses, 10 min cooldown, disposable nature, etc). Just seems a little off to me for specifically the mech autocannons to have some aspect of its' damage profile dramatically pared down in comparison to the other 2 readily reusable autocannon stratagems. All that aside it's way more fun that the other mech, especially against the bots.

    If you swap between selecting each mech you'll notice there is a "1/1" notification as a part of the UI. Only being able to bring one is currently intentional.

    For Chargers, you have to go for either of the 2 front legs. Bile Titans, shoot them once with a EAT or Quasar Cannon, it only takes 2 or 3 shots from Emancipator.

    I question the part about being good against anything with heatsinks, when the support AMR or A/C does a better job in fewer rounds. The overall damage of the mech is below that of the A/C sentry, which is not limited by number of call ins and is available every three minutes. It does poorly against anything with 6+ armor due to durability damage lowball figure; 24~ shots to a BT face to kill one? This is not good really and personally I hope the stats were done pre-CCO balance adjustments and we see a better version soon.

      All of the stratagems that were released up to this point were backloged in the game already either since the games release or the first month. This is why we are able to ge them directly after a major order is completed because the devs can just "unlock" them. These things don't get tweaked until patches. This is why airburst was broke af because they thought it would be fine for it to explode near ALL entities including everything we have and just didnt think about it. The airburst is good now that it's fixed

      @@kamikeserpentail3778 Ok, the support A/C does more damage than the mech and you can take it into every battle. Doubt this, go shoot a bile titan OR factory strider in the head with the support weapon (2-4 shots well aimed) compared to the mech which takes over well ten. Take the AMR or A/C weapon against tanks or turrets and you can destroy them with less ammo/shots than the mech. The comment about the mech vs sentry is how a day one release stratagem is better than a just released mech, as an example. (3m unlimited call down & more damage per shot vs a mech that is 2x limited per mission and does far less dmg... see the point here?)

    If they want to restrict mechs. You are allowed to call in 2 mechs per match. Have them share a cooldown. So you can either call in 2 of either or 1 of each

    Take a quasar for bile titans. jump out of your mech, shoot the titan in the head, and then finish it off with the autocannons. For chargers, aim for the forelegs, you can destroy the armor on them and kill them really quickly.
    its better than the Patriot after it got nerfed. but this mech can just as easily get nerfed too. We have no reason to expect them to "fix" the issues with the mech crosshairs being misaligned or not being able to shoot down. thats been an issue for months that they still havent dealt with.

      If you need 2 stratagems to make viable a mech, it just sucks. If you only can use it 2 times for mision with 10 minutes of cooldown, at least, it should be able to take care of himself as long as it has ammo

    I think it should be able to deal with all enemies once you get to 7-9 difficulty you get a lot more enemies and 150 shots isn’t enough I’m not saying one mech should win you the mission but 10-12 shots should take out just about any enemy

I was playing it and counted 5-6 rockets and I started smoking a little. And it's good against the bots air ships the drop off ones are stronger but the air ship get knock out fast

      Its good. Used it on Helldive difficulty against both the Bots and the Bugs and it works ok. The only it struggles against are the Bile Titans and the Factory Striders.
      In itself the Mech is very good. The issue lies in the stupid decision of having only two of them per mission on top of the very long cooldown of 10mn

    I’ve been using this thing a lot after we got it, and man it is good. It feels so much better than the patriot. Even when I’m dumping a ton of ammo into a bile titan, I usually have another diver in a mech doing it with me, and it just feels amazing to lay into enemies with heavy fire. For general swarm enemies with low armor stats, this thing is a genuine sweeper. If there is a stratagem to use when protecting an objective or during extraction, it’s this one

    I was shooting fabricators directly in the vents and it took 3/4 shots, I also was able to take out a drop ship, it took several shots to one of the engines but it definitely took it down 🤷‍♂️

    Honestly I think for balancing having only one mech is smart but a much smarter option would be you get the two uses across all vehicles you take. So all vehicles share one cooldown together and the two uses together. You can take four vehicles but you only have two uses so you can pick which to use when in the right situation but you only get two in a mission

    Minimum it should take 5 to 8 shot to kill a Bile Titan, not almost a whole load it makes no sense. Charger minimum 3 shots to the head and that's it. Or if they want to keep it like that then at least make a mech that holds 2 Quasar Cannons or 1 Quasar Cannon and a Mini Gun..

    Our ships are small. it would make sense to only have 1 mech in the bay and fitting it for the current mission (?) Just as when you have 2 eagle stratagems, you cant call them at exact same time, and both run on same cooldown (for rearming, iirc)

    Been seeing this a lot lately being used like a tank, with one or two players in the mechs and the others providing infantry support. Works great against Bugs. I like that the gunship bringing it in provides limited fire support during deployment.

    Needs double the ammo and needs to have the structure damage the other autocannon straagems do. This mech in helldivers 1 had 500 ammo at max upgrades. 150 per arm would make it better at what it wants to be

    With the handheld, the gunship can be taken down with 2 shots if you shoot the engine. You can 2 shot the hulk on the head. So i dunno, might still go with ac sentry and stratagem ac.

    Finally! someone who rates this stratagem with actual balance in mind. People are complaining about its offensive power disregarding the fact that they get thick steel armor, no need to reload, and reasonable mobility all in one stratagem. This exo-suit doesn't solve every encounter, because no stratagem should. That's why you can bring several for each mission.

    I think to balance the old mech with this new one is to up the damage of the rockets so it can handle elites better, but lower the ammo of rockets. But then increase the ammo of the machine gun, but lower the damage. This would make that mech the counter to the strongest enemies while still keeping little stuff off you. Then the auto cannon mech will be for clearing mid strength stuff. Then in the future we get a mech with a flame thrower and an punching/sword arm.

    The mech is just so limited for how meh it is...
    Limitations:
    -2 uses, least in game
    -10min cooldown, longest in game
    -can only equip one type of mech
    -to fragile
    -not enough ammo for how limited and long the cool downs are
    Either the make in 5min cooldown and unlimited uses, or buff the hell out of these, keep the limitations, but make the monsters on the battlefield.

    2 mechs are incredibly strong. They easily keep me in a mech the whole match. The Patriot will kill BTs and chargers faster, whereas the Emancipator can easily feel at home against bugs and bots. Shoot charger legs, and if you can get a good anti-tank hit on the BT, you can take it out fast. Otherwise it is a third of your ammo into the BTs face in order to kill it.

    Man. They had Helldivers 1 so down packed. They really dropping the ball on this game. Hoping the ARs get some serious love. They need to all have armor penetration values tied to their fire rate. Faster firing weapons have less armor penetration than slower firing harder hitting ones.

    Seeing a lot of Diff 6 and 5 in the video.
    How does the Mech handle itself on Diff 7 and 8 when there's multiple heavy enemies at once.
    I'm not sure this mech is worth bringing over something like and Eagle strike or an Autocannon if you kinda need that personal shield for survivability

    Playing with this mech has been a blast. Definitely favors using more against automatons than bugs. I wonder though when they changed the balance of it because I recall a while ago a streamer got to play with it earlier than every one else and it took down a factory strider from the side in a couple of shots so I assume the damage used to be directly like auto cannon shots. I prefer the large influx of ammo this one has though but these exosuits really need a crosshair for the left arm or the ability to switch camera sides freely in them. I think thats the biggest hinderance they have from preventing them to truly shine and well the bug thats causing the patriot's rockets to be inaccurate.

    18-21 shots for a spore spewer is TRASH when a quasar would take it in one shot. That's so awful. The bile titans also take a ridiculous amount of ammo.

    1:34 The previous mech only got 1 nerf, that being "rockets will now penetrate armor only on direct hit." The rocket inaccuracy is a bug that is being addressed.

      I read somewhere that the rockets are supposed to have a homing effect where you're aiming. The issue being that people are fighting things way too up close but in my testing there's absolutely no homing on it. Such a disappointing feeling seeing a rocket fail to hit where you're aiming at mid range.

    the only way i was able to call both bots at the same time is by having the new one as a free startogem like it is now and i select as a stratogem with 3 other stratogems (dont matter which ones) the patriot exo and once i start i can call both on ps5, im guessing pc can do the same if done this way since its not a glitch doing it this way

    Patriot rockets are actually very accurate. However, you need to switch camera angles. Once you switch to the other side the rockets go exactly where you're aiming. It's pretty eye opening once you get used to it.
    I'm conflicted on either of these. The Emancipator's guns feel underwhelming for being dual autocannons. They should be shredding Chargers and Titans in far fewer hits. And if you get overwhelmed by small stuff you don't have a lighter weapon to kill them which means using up precious autocannon ammo. Meanwhile the Patriot's minigun takes care of both small and medium stuff fairly easily and the rockets deal with heavier stuff like an EATs. If the Emancipator had a smaller machine gun or the explosive damage/radius was increased then that would make up for it. But having to use a few autocannon rounds to prevent getting whittled down by hunters or the knife bots just feels bad.
    The damage dealt is pretty pathetic. It's right on par with the man portable version rather than the autocannon version. 8 shots to a gunship? 5-6 on a Hulk? 1-2 for devastators? That's not very impressive for a giant mech you can only bring in twice and can't resupply. 150 shots? Bro, a man portable carries 100 and you can resupply with stuff littered around the battlefield let alone a resupply drop. Maybe if there was a repair and resupply option or you didn't have only 2 for the entire match it might be better, but we don't have those.

    For chargers, aim at the legs.
