On the image of the flower, if you had done one side at a time it would give better results because as you say there is a pixel limitation - PS has the same thing - it's the technology's limit not Neo's. I published a video on GenExpand yesterday did you watch mine? I had some successes and some failures. I ran some pretty difficult images through it to test and some I did head-to-head with PS. I found it was almost even as far as which one won, sometimes PS, sometimes Neo. I really think it's just the AI technology is just that way currently, that's just how it is

Agreed, small amounts of expansion on the relatively empty bird background was a pretty useless example and expanding several sides on the higher resolution images is just an unfair false equivalence, I lost confidence in the review (and sadly the reviewer also) for such an obvious oversight.
This video seems like a rush job without adequate attention being paid to the basic suggested methodology from Luminar on how to use the program.

Low resolution issue found in Photoshop as well

Anthony thank you for this fine update. I've tried it myself in Luminar Neo and with some landscapes it's okay and many other photo's it sucks. But another issue, After using gen-expand you nee tooit the button save. And after that my photo's disappear. I've have a map Gen. attractions in Luminar Neo? But gone and cannot find them back What am I doing wrong here. Thank you for your reaction John C. Dodde the Netherlands

It works better with very similar backgrounds. It works better then gen erase I wish they would do as Adobe does call them what they are technology previews ( beta at best ) .

Skylum going subscription is the biggest new feature of Luminar.

Anthony....on a few occasions you told us that Skylum advise us to only do a bit a time - yet you kept extending say the bottom to the full extension and then did the side as well. Then you couldn't understand why you were getting bad results. you also noticed that other youtubers got a better result.........maybe they were heeding what Skylum recommeded?
