I was talking about this the other day, and I’ll even say it here… I actually wouldn’t mind if it’s a base game update adding another empty world like Newcrest. I almost prefer that idea to be honest. I tend to style match the exteriors of the current worlds in the game… So having another empty world to come up with an aesthetic for doesn’t sound half bad.
I would like to see Island Living refreshed, with a mermaid skill tree added. They were robbed of being a true occult. The other features are cool but I'd like to see mermaids have the same format as the other occults
Agreed! Same for Aliens. I get why these two occults are the way they are-Get to Work was literally the first expansion-but they NEED a refresh to rectify this!
I still want a music themed expansion pack. I want more instruments, I want orchestras and bands, I want to be a conductor and a concert master and all that.

it would be really cool if sim-made songs (maybe a premade selection by genre and instrument(s), with vocals adjusted according to a sim's voice if they're singing) could be played on the radio! compared to paintings and books, it feels like when sims make songs they just disappear into the ether.

I'd settle for sims not 1) getting flirty because their romantic partner walks into the room, and 2) flirting with anyone they're talking to, in front of their romantic partner. The worst case I had was a bride flirting with one of her wedding guests in front of her fiance. Way to ruin the wedding!

@@cubisttubist What distinguishable feature can EA do for tweens that they haven’t done for kids and teens? kids have the motor mental social skills with their own aspirations, and teens are basically adults (unless you have hsy but still.) and as much as I dislike having infants I guess that trying different food thing is pretty cool. Having another life stage between kids and teens seems pretty redundant.

Yess! I want allergies but I want them to be implemented more like 'likes and dislikes' so you could be allergic to multiple things without it taking up all the trait slots. Maybe also an option for how severe an allergy is. They should make more food preferences like vegan, carnivore, low-carb etc

As a dancer, it would be cool for the Sims to add a dance, ballet, gymnastics, and ice skating packs! Imagine the beautiful CAS items, gameplay, and build mode items 🩰
I have never thought about there not being a dance option. After school dance would be an easy way for them to add it in and it could just improve fitness. But a dance pack would be really cool too, maybe a ballet career too!
I think a fairies pack with a new zealand world would be super cool. Theres a lot of fairy lore in new zealand, and adding in another culture would be neat. I worry that a more cottagey fairies pack would be too similar to cottage living.
Doesn't Iceland also have a lot of lore surrounding the fae? That could also be an interesting option. Though I wouldn't be mad with New Zealand or Ireland either. Edited addition: After thinking back, Iceland's lore might revolve more around elves specifically than fairies and the faefolk.
My wishlist is SUPER boring, but I'd love to see a better/more advanced sorting system for the build/buy catalogue and the ability to add custom tags to items. Like I want a "favorites" section type thing, and the ability to add custom groupings for quick access (like go-to kitchen clutter, bedroom decor etc). Searching for that one item you really want to use is getting harder and harder, and the current in-game room collections are funky and items are mis-tagged.
THIS! Please! I get excited with every pack release but then there is a small moment of dread realizing its going to be more stuff to scroll through (and add mods on top of that and it's daunting...) This is an awesome idea that is much needed!

Swatch update is no longer a wish, but a necessity. I'd really appreciate it to work like Sims 2 (mind you it's turning TWENTY this year), where you could choose one swatch for the bed frame and another one for the bedding, for example.
I miss that so much!! But nothing will ever beat the sims 2. The Sims 2 was in another level and way ahead of its time. Like the animations were soooo much better than the sims 4. Like opening the cabinets and drawers to use the utensils or change clothes, snow depth! The rain bouncing off the floor and sliding down the roof or the bounce of water displacement when jumping in the pool. But the main for me will always be snow depth. And be able to change textures and colors and patterns in BB mode
Yeah Wise is a great elder only trait- I think I'd love "Cranky" too. Especially if they introduced canes again so your cranky Elders could hit people with them lol

I would LOVE a funeral stuff or game pack. The implementation of a cemetery lot, a funeral event, funeral attire, different types of graves, a way to decorate or clean them, that would be SO amazing. I don’t want to place all my Sims’s graves on my home lot, but I’d love to be able to visit and remember them.
Yesterday i was building a little ghotic “castle” and i spended 3 hours only for placing stairs… if there be spiral stairs it would be so much easer 😂 there are two towers which perfectky doing for spiral stairs 😂 but… ts4 doesn’t have it 🥲

My thoughts on gameplay kits are new musical instruments, a pottery wheel and kiln for pottery and glass art, more types of exercise equipment, and other hobby items like that.

One thing I would love is more thing for pregnant sims, like going to ultra sounds, your sim having craving, finding out the gender of the baby, and maybe being able to edit how long the pregnancy lasts
I'd like mixed use lots. Now that you can use For Rent to identify multiple residential units on one lot, I feel like it's just one more step to having multiple units on one lot where one is a café, one is a shop, flats above etc, but where all the non-res units actually work.
I want hobbies! Like kids should be able to go to like gymanists and ballet class and then it can become a career, but also just something fun they do later as well. I loved playing with that sims 2 pack. I want more careers, psychologist, firefighter, dancer, dentist, bank worker, etc. and yes a lot of bug fixes, high school years teen ambitions are terribly bugged!
One of the things I really want is to be able to "stack" tattoos. Now, if you put a tattoo on the Sim's left hand then you can't put one on their left forearm, elbow, or even shoulder and it just urkes me because so many people have multiple separate tattoos!

We really need elevators and spiral staircases this year. Especially if hotels may be on the cards. I'd also like to see more drainpipes and guttering.
@@irelyndhenry1176i think the main problem is making the animations for sims going up a spiral staircase, which would be very difficult to do, but in the meantime, there are mods that have functional spiral staircases

I would LOVE to see a Nordic inspired world! The only one in The Sims franchise was Aurora Skies, a store world in The Sims 3. The Home Chef Hustle pack had Nordic people working on it so it could be possible! Imagine an old city center like Stockholm, colorful wooden houses in the country, mountains and lakes! A dream ❤️

a sewing pack would be so cool, like a sewing machine that would snap to a desk like a computer and sims could make their own clothing on it. maybe it would be cool to actually create your own clothes; you pick your base (tank top, sweater, skirt, etc.) and use the paint tool like you would use on the cats and dogs to decorate it. and then the sims make it. that could open the floor for a fashion designer career too
Yes! But also let us put the sewing machine in the sims inventory to take it places. Maybe also different sized looms to make fabric; maybe even tapestries or curtains and rugs
Tbh i dont think CAS canes or crutches or wheelchairs will ever be added but i would loooove to see them as build mode items. I’m an ambulatory mobility aid user and i have CC downloaded to put in my “disabled” sims homes. Itd be great to have that as base game
Yeah I really wish that would happen too, like with the different cultures it is really important to have representation in games. As a wheelchair user it has always made me a bit sad that there is very little representation in video games
ive used a mod at one point that added wheelchairs using the same system bikes in the game uses. while that wouldn't be perfect if someone wanted them to use the wheelchair always it still is pretty good
It’s so annoying how something as insignificant as top surgery scars was added (fyi, totally fine with trans people, but are top surgery scars really necessary for sims? And also, why not other scars?) the representation we get in the sims is only what’s trendy it’s so fake
@fukhyu3330 because top surgery scars are much easier to add than wheelchairs. I definitely think wheelchairs should be added but that would require lots of new animation. While scars are just basically a new tattoo. And yes it is needed as a trans person it's important to see myself as much as it is for a disabled person. It's not like they are against adding disability stuff as they have added hearing aids. Again something like hearing aids is way easier than wheelchairs because it's a new mesh and not new sets on animations. While they should add more disability rep there's no reason to shit on trans people. We all deserve representation. Them making top surgery scars are not taking away resources to add wheelchairs.
I don't expect any of these to happen, but there's a few things I really would like to see: - Medieval pack/Ren Faire. Not just a kit with build items - The future pack - More instruments. Like drums, flute, cello, etc. It was a missed opportunity to not have after school band in high school years. - More careers. Of course active careers are preferred, but I'll be happy with rabbit hole ones too. - An actual animal shelter system for the stray pets - more small animals. guinea pigs, lizards, birds, etc. - mermaids update - the ability to make an apartment above a community lot, or have multiple cl on one lot. Extremely disappointed we didn't get it in For Rent. - for filters in the build log stay until you remove them. and an option for filters to apply to all categories in CAS - more lgbt+ townies - update the hospital. let my sims go to the doctor when they get sick, or ultrasounds for pregnant sims, etc. - an autosave feature

I think it would be so nice to have the option to set sims heights! It would be such a small but impactful way to add variety and dimension to the game!
As an Australian, an Australia world really lends itself to hotels. Think three neighbourhoods, one inspired by East Coast (Aus) beaches (Gold Coast maybe), maybe with some hotels on the beach, and an island lot (think great barrier reef) which you can maybe reach by jetski? And then a downtown/city area inspired by Perth, Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane, you can often find fancy and colonial/vintage style hotels here. Lastly the third neighbourhood would definitly be outback inspired, you could find motels, it would have a small country town feel (yes there a small, remote communities in the outback, but not everywhere). Australia has very pristine beaches and forrests which lean towards hotels and nature retreats. If four neighbourhoods were possible, (or if an outback section isn'tt good) a forresty section would be amazing, since South-Western Australia (where I'm from) has amazing temperate forests with massive trees and waterfalls and beautiful wildlife dispalys. Not to discredit other locations for a hotel pack obviously.

I was thinking something similar because we have so many different forms of hotels and motels and beach stays and places by the mountains and it’s just such a wonderful environment and id love to see my home in the game. And the landscaping options would be amazing! Imagine kangaroo paw and the Christmas trees (no not like this 🎄) in game!!!

With fairies I think it would be interesting if like the other occult, there are negative traits you can get - e.g. One could be ‘can’t lie’ (typical fae concept) which would lead to more embarrassing conversations/relationships can be harder to build as they come across really blunt!
I would love to see funerals added as an event, and also cemeteries to be added. Would also be cool to have a stylist career like sims 3 ambitions had where you give sims makeovers. Also online dating is a must!
I saw someone talking about wanting more gameplay or things for elderly Sims specifically. Like a Retirement pack. Retirement homes, bingo halls, etc. I think it would be a really good and fun way to send off the sim you've been working on for so long. It's on the Sims 4 subreddit in a thread asking about people's wishlists. Also, I think it would be really funny if that was their anniversary thing lol
Honestly the elders have nothing once they hit that life stage it feels like all we're doing is waiting around for them to die ... which is really bad 😭 they can't do anything without being overexerted on the verge of death and there's no cute activities for them
Id love for them to add a new walk style - specifically as a way to provide an option for cane/walking stick users! Itd be a good way imo to bring that kind of representation into the game - a walking animation option involving a cane appearing and walking properly with it.
A new walk style seems like a genius way to add canes/limps/etc! I don't think it'd be the best way but it definitely sounds like it would be easier and more possible.
im not a wheelchair user, but i would love to see them add wheelchairs and add ways to make builds wheelchair accessible! it would add so much inclusivity and lots of different people who use wheelchairs play the game, and people love making simselves, so adding that ability would be super cool. edit: also! crochet would be cool to add! i know we have kitting, but i crochet and a lot of people crochet too, so that woukd be cool to add. idk how. maybe it'd be changing nifty knitting to add crochet and new crochet animations but that would be sooo cute.
YES!!! In general I just want more of that. Wheelchairs, crutches, more disability play. How awesome would it be to have service animals you can actually train for blindness/deafness/diabetes/etc?! My son has autism and I am always wanting more of these features in my gameplay.
I would actually love to see slavic inspired fairy game pack. I think it would fit really well bc of slavic mythology, there’s a lot of poems inspired with nymphs etc. I have a few other ideas for new food options (obviously dumplings (known as pierogi - also it’s already plural word, one dumpling is pieróg) or beet soup) or some traditional wardrobe and jewellery like corals and accessories like scarves. I’m not sure if there’s an accurate translation but stuff like kompot, kisiel. I think it would be really cool ❤
My top want is multipurpose lots!! A retail that is also a cafe, separate spa and gym on the same lot or even just multiple retail lots on one plot like the rental lots 😊
The two major things I really want would be a tattoo artist career, and skateboards. Cosmetic or update wise I think we’re over due for some new voices and walks, if it’s possible. I would absolutely adore a height slider as well.
tattoo artist would be cool specially cus there's so little tattoos and they're sooo old other than the werewolf pack ones which are not a lot and are very specific so not that flexible

Yeah I'd love a revamp to tattoos that worked more like the way fur does so you can layer them a bit more. If you want a full sleeve you have to sacrifice whatever tattoo was already there which doesn't make sense
I would love a “dietary restriction” new feature. I think it’s dumb to have lactose intolerant and vegan/vegetarian as personality traits - and I’d LOVE to see them let us make our sims keep kosher, etc!
yes!! i don't like it at all how if you want to be vegan it would take up 2/3 of your personality.. i also wish the dog/cat lover would be in a seperate thing too.
Also like if I put a hearing aid or diabetes patch (fulllllyyy blanking on what it’s called sorry) can it actually affect gameplay 😭 things like medical conditions and dietary restrictions would be such a good addition to gameplay if they refreshed it for sure

In terms of disability/mobility aid representation I think braces would be an easy add! I wear knee braces myself and would love to have them on my simself. my disability is such a big part of my life and while I understand some people play the sims to “get away” from real life the representation really really matters!
I was thinking that too! Braces feel like they would be easy to add as an accessory, just like they did for hearing aids and glucose monitors. They could make them different sizes, from a full leg brace to just a knee or ankle brace, and maybe add some for arms too. I think that'd also "appease" the community a little bit and give them more time to work on bigger things like canes or wheelchairs.
Yes! Representation is never something to "get away" from. While I understand not wanting to feel chronic pain (the game's not that immersive!) But disability gets erased from sooo much media because it makes non-disabled people uncomfortable.
i really want them to make dietary restrictions a separate thing from traits. Being vegetarian or lactose intolerant is not a personality trait. It's also a cool opportunity to expand the dietary restrictions to add gluten intolerant or refrain from certain meats to reflect real life religions.
This 100%! At the bare minimum I want food preferences & diets to be part of likes/dislikes and not traits... But I would definitely prefer it to be even separated from that, so it doesn't take away slots for your sims actual personality. It kinda feels like they are acting as if health issues are a 'personality trait' or at worst 'a choice'... I hate it (as someone who has both diet restrictions for lactose & FODMAPs (IBS) and multiple disabilities). Diets are often medical things and not just simply a preference 😕 And even when diets are not related to someone's health, it still feels weird to let it be part of sims their personality imo 😅
to add to online dating, we should have more dating & romance options. I know there's a my wedding story pack but we need to add extra opportunities for the sims to meet each other without us having to romance the same townies on our own.
I'd love to see the ability to build right on the edge of the lot in Sims 4! Also, having more flexibility to build walls on half tiles would be fantastic.
I neeed more Neighborhood Stories updates. I want to feel like my sims are living in an actual world instead of a playroom with other sims just being mindless ragdolls. Give them personality, story. Let them get engaged, let OUR sims be invited to THEIR weddings.
to add to this, I want sims to be able to propose and do things more autonomously, instead of relying on my sim to do everything for the sim i want them to be involved with. I want to be asked to be someones partner, I want them to propose to me

I feel like dine out is more fixing bugs than a refresh, which is almost more important since the pack just doesn't work for many people or it take a million years to just go out to eat with sims (like my sims don't stay seated). Would love a refresh on mermaids where they have skill trees like other occults and more abilities for sure.
For basic CAS update it would be so nice to see ability to have sims with heterochromia, vitiligo, more face and body freckles/marks/scars, and oh god BETTER HAIR COLORS

As a Latina, I would like to see a world inspired by Latin America, maybe inspired on Rio de Janeiro or Buenos Aires. I think it would be so cool to have that representation

I think having mobility canes, body braces (casts, back braces, knee braces, glasses that serve a purpose, prosthetics, etc), and wheelchairs would be a really nice way to add representation into the sims 4. Also, it would be cool if they could find a way to represent other communities, like a separate trait system for some disabilities, like if your sim has dyslexia they have a harder time learning, or a deaf sim could use asl or a hearing aid to hear. Sims could be born with a disability, players could add it, or they could acquire it as their sim ages (think elders and hearing loss). I would also really like for traits to better affect sims and gameplay. I also want more traits and more slots for those traits. If they revamped Get to Work, it would be cool to add in some more medical gameplay to go along with this.
I would love glasses to be more functional. Like if sims took them off when they slept. I'll just not give them glasses with thier sleepwear but really the only times I don’t wear my glasses are when i'm in the shower or closing my eyes going to bed.
Not sure if anyone else would want an expansion like this, but I would LOVE a pop star/broadway pack with active careers! I feel like it could be a London inspired world where the pop stars start off with pub gigs then work their way up to big stadiums like Wembley and the theater performers could work their way up to a West-End type venue. Maybe there could even be some type of rivalry between the two like the campuses in Britechester? Showtime was one of my favorite sims 3 packs to play with and feel like Get Famous and the musician/entertainer careers leave a lot to be desired. I would love to see a lot more music-centered careers and gameplay :)
THIS A 100% i dont even have the pack but it makes no sense to me the mini fridge and the 1 tile shower didnt come with the tiny living pack too. I hope they do a pack update if it was me i would also include more swatches for the murphy bed to be mixed and matched with more packe and exclusive bunk bed for the kit because bunk beds save SO much space i know the base game have 2 options but the tiny living furniture has a very modern aesthetic that i dont think the base game bunk beds fit that much with them
My personal ideas: A sewing game pack! You wouldn’t make things from scratch, but for example you could pick to make a dress, and you would have options for stuff like sleeves and neckline. For designs they could do something similar to dreamlight valley where you get different images and designs to decorate your creations! I would love to see a fabric store as well! For a fairies pack, I think it would be fun if they utilized collecting more. Especially mushrooms, like maybe to get new perks or powers, you have to collect a certain mushroom or flower. Another fairy pack idea is that once you become a fairy, you pick one ‘track’, which could either be like tinkerbell and be based on seasons, or be like winx and be based on elements I’d love a futuristic pack! Maybe cyberpunk inspired? It could have like flying vehicles, teleportation, body modification, more robots, that kind of thing! This would be a great time to have a free update with prosthetics at well! More disability rep! More ideas to be added, and feel free to add your own in the replies or build on top of mine!

I'd love a pack that is dedicated to relationships in general. I feel like there could be so much more depth to relationships in the sims 4. More sentiments for example that enables sims to have different relationship expectations towards each other. One only wants a fling, the other wants the real deal. I want sims to be able to talk about this stuff more in depth. Maybe online-dating could be part of a pack like this. But yeah, I'd see the focus on interactions and easier ways for us to tell different relationship stories without just having to use our imagination.
I'd at least like an attraction system for physical stuff to go with the online dating/dating app. Along with something like Wicked Whims' Scan Room thing so you can autonomously find Sims that your Sim would want to chat up
I would love to see not reciprocated relationships, like one of them wants to be friends and the other hates their guts, or one has a crush and could decide to act on it or move on, and the other thinks they’re friends. I just want to be able to influence the feelings, not just the relationships
I want more plants and trees to harvest and the ability to process them like wheat to flour. I also wish there was an apply to all button in CAS so I don't have to manually reset fingernails on every fashion type.
I would love something like Free Time in Sims 2 but probably focused on arts stuff. Like ballet, theatre, pottery, new instruments etc. Add the makeover and tattoo artist careers from 3 ambitions (maybe revamp tattoos too). This could add online dating, driving boards and even cars! Just more hobbies and gig careers.
Most of the things I'd like to see added were already mentioned, but one thing I'd really love to see added that I haven't seen anyone mention is SKATEBOARDING.

I would love to see a bed swatch update. Not only adding more colors, but separating sheets and frame of the bed, so you could way more easily fit it in your build. Like it was in The Sims 2.
My big dream is a combo elder-death pack. (One or the other would also be good, I guess.) We've gotten a lot more fleshed out for other life stages, and I'd love to see more for elders! How fun would a retirement community world be? I would also really love a funeral event and cemetery lot type. Neighborhood stories have me building more cemeteries, but parks always seem like the best option, and sometimes I don't want to have to put playground equipment in my cemeteries.
Yes and prosthetics wouldn’t change animation that much like maybe a little bit but it would probably be easier that canes and wheelchairs even though I want all of them

I need singles that I'm not interacting with to pair off and marry, and either move out together or the couple moves in with the parents of one of them if there's room in that household for at least two babies. Young adults who stay living with their parents when they marry get the bonus of inheriting their parents' house and assets when the parents die.

All I really want is more items and functions related to disabilities. I use a wheelchair and cane regularly so it would be nice if I could actually make “myself” in game. The medical wearables is such a huge step, but right now they’re nothing more than cosmetic. Stuff like a new slot for “disability traits” like deaf, blind, needs aid (and move the lactose intolerant over there while they’re at it) or adding ramps to build mode.
This would be so cool! I couldn't (and still cannot) build my whole family in an acurate manner in cas. But I am able to give two of them their hearing aids now. I would love to give one of my family members their cane and their wheelchair.
Yes!!! I literally don't care if wheelchairs have to fly and defy physics to go to a second floor. (Obviously, they wouldn't do this feature poorly, but the fact that it's been 10 years (was it even in previous iterations of Sims?) And it's still not there even rudimentary is absolutely ridiculous!
I really agree with Fairies. I'm not huge into occults, BUT the build/buy would be gorgeous! Also, I can imagine myself using Cottage Living build/buy along with the pack.
I'd love to see a van life expansion pack where you can design vans and RVs with RV lots and more stuff to do in the parks. I'd also LOVE a Renaissance Faire festival added! Stuff like turkey legs, jousting, mead bars, fairy dances, and obviously amazing Ren Faire costumes!
I want a sewing machine, a stroller for both elders (or what you call it for elders) and todler/babies, wheelchairs, an option that you can set makeup on all your sims outfits and that you can make your adult sims draw on paper!!
I disagree, infants are already so annoying for people who don't play family gameplay, adding a new age would just be repetitive and boring, what can a preteens do that a child or an adult can't do ? I agree there needs to be more teens looking clothes and teen activities (school year was so empty to me) but you don't need a new age stage for that. 29:37 Re: other disability items. In the UK we have sunflower lanyards for people with hidden disabilities. They came out around 2020, coz like if an autistic person was struggling with supermarket covid changes it would be more obvious to other shoppers. Like 'hey! I'm not just being weird and awkward and confused and upset for no reason. Look at my lanyard! I have a hidden disability that may be the reason.' And people with neurodivergence have them, people with dementia, etc. So maybe adding that as like a necklace accessory would be cool. -And can accessories not showing with certain tops get fixed please?! I would like my sim to wear a necklace with their low cut top, but it disappears! Same with bracelets with short sleeves! -Back to the disability "accessories" again, maybe like ileostomy/colostomy bags? Like how the glucose monitors can be placed on arms, have stoma bags to be placed on bellies? And you can get covers for stoma bags (my dad has ones that say 'my other bag is a Gucci' and 'I'm full of s***' lol) so sims could still have striped/spotted/floral ones! -Also on this slide it mentions other pride flag options. Maybe like a pencil pot with a lil mini pride flag sticking out? So you could like place it on a desk? Coz not everyone has a massive fabric flag stuck on their wall, but they could have a lil one on a stick from a Parade.
My wish list haven't changed in years and i'm still waiting on them. 1: Bug fixes 2: Create a world 3: Customizable seasons 4: Different heights 5: More body types 6: Preteens and Geriatrics 7: Cars and other vehicles 8: Townies who're location locked As for the other life sims, i'm more looking forward to them than the sims 4 or anything after it but id love for them to be more detailed than this game, really make their game worlds feel more dynamic and detailed.
Something culturally related is I would love to see them add stuff from slavic culture! i’m slavic, and i don’t really see anything about it in the sims, and it makes me sad that they add all these other cultures but miss mine. i adore that they are doing this, just hope they include mine!
Yes, I 100% agree. It’s so rare to find Slavic representation in western media. My culture is also very overlooked or get confused with another (I’m Cajun and our culture tend to get mixed up with Creoles).
Won’t lie I’d love to see height differences without mods! I love the idea as well of maybe siblings arguing over who’s taller 😂 anyone with siblings can relate to that one 😂
My wishlist: 1. Give elders some love. Maybe age-specific aspirations (like High School Years does for teens), a Senior Center lot type or a lot trait that attracts elder sims to a particular lot, special interactions between your elder sims and their adult children as well as their grandchildren. This would be a cool chance to bring canes into the game if they decided to make a pack- maybe a base game update with a basic black/white/gray cane and some special swatches in the pack. 2. I want hammocks. Not sure what kind of pack this would go in, but I think hammocks would be so fun for outdoorsy and boho builds. 3. Some sort of tagging system for build & buy mode. I love the fun quirky names for all the items and want to keep them, but it’s so hard to know what to search for sometimes. It would likely take a while but just 3-4 tags for each item so you can find what you’re looking for would be such a time saver and make it easier to avoid using the same items constantly because you don’t know where to find them. 4. I love the idea of a Ren Faire or Dungeons and Dragons themed pack with medieval clothes & furniture. 5. A garage band pack. Add a drum kit and the ability for your sims to play their instruments together (harmoniously). Maybe add some fun punk clothing and hairstyles to go along with it.
I'd love for us to get a hairdresser stuff pack, with a hairsalon as a lot type. Things like chairs with sinks attached, hair dryers, etc. Sims could go there and sit in the chairs. It would pull you into CAS, but you could pick hairstyles that fit your sims based on their current hair. You could possibly run your own hairsalon? - After writing is, I think we should get a game or expansion pack with all kinds of different jobs we don't have (access to) yet. Examples: - Hairdressers - Firefighter (Base Game) - Architect (Dream Home Decorator) - Attorney - Dancer / Choreographer (Get Together) - Graphic Designer - Farmer (Cottage Living) - Counselor - Wedding Planner (My Wedding Stories) - Construction Worker - Marine Biologist (Island Living) - Plumber - Electrician & so many more!
All I want is an update so hearing aids and glasses aren't randomly applied to some outfits when growing up and they also stay when aging up someone with hearing aids (little more realistic aging up). And a hair type filter would be great (and then aging up with the same hair type).
BANDS would be such a nice Stuff Pack. So many CAS items I can think of (band merch, garage-band clothes if that makes sense, music themed clothes in general), obviously new build/buy items (new variations of existing instruments we have plus NEW ones like a bass, saxophone, DRUMS as the selling point as well as musical decor and that garage band aesthetic), and then more musical gameplay with the ability to assemble a band and perform. Maybe even a musical career, but that feels like a lot for a SP. Then again, Paranormal was HUGE sooooo lol
Theme parks, pre-teens, relationship packs, going to friends/family weddings, older person pack (eg retirement home), more medical CC eg wheelchairs, amputations, and non-physical medical conditions, more family/friends experience, parents evenings at schools, christenings, funerals, etc. Supermarkets, sims get injuries, eg broken legs etc (clumsy more likely to get hurt), Hotels, more careers eg cleaners, dancers, singers, firefighters etc, pushchairs, friends and family babysitters, spiral stairs, lifts, pool tables, more swatches and food to affect bodies realistically. - Probably a lot more but these are off the top of my head.
I've been hoping for them to add sewing and pottery from the sims 2 into the sims 4 FOR YEARS! Think of all the unique CAS and build mode things we could get like in nifty knitting and even the base game workbench. Fingers crossed they listen to you, lilsimsie!
If they do an African pack (which I'd love!), they should have a "photo safari." Even if it's just a rabbit hole, it could have animal photos to collect, or little animal toys like the simmi capsules.

I would genuinely prefer to get one expansion pack per year as long as it is nicely done and feels complete. Three in one year was too much and as someone that can’t play the game as often, I barely finished playing one when the next was already out. My only request at the moment is hotels and the ability to buy vacation homes! The possibility of buying the vacation homes would even be enough
A new basegame world for the 10. anniversary would be a cool idea.

I'd settle for sims not 1) getting flirty because their romantic partner walks into the room, and 2) flirting with anyone they're talking to, in front of their romantic partner. The worst case I had was a bride flirting with one of her wedding guests in front of her fiance. Way to ruin the wedding!

My wishlist is SUPER boring, but I'd love to see a better/more advanced sorting system for the build/buy catalogue and the ability to add custom tags to items. Like I want a "favorites" section type thing, and the ability to add custom groupings for quick access (like go-to kitchen clutter, bedroom decor etc). Searching for that one item you really want to use is getting harder and harder, and the current in-game room collections are funky and items are mis-tagged.

Swatch update is no longer a wish, but a necessity. I'd really appreciate it to work like Sims 2 (mind you it's turning TWENTY this year), where you could choose one swatch for the bed frame and another one for the bedding, for example.
I miss that so much!! But nothing will ever beat the sims 2. The Sims 2 was in another level and way ahead of its time. Like the animations were soooo much better than the sims 4. Like opening the cabinets and drawers to use the utensils or change clothes, snow depth! The rain bouncing off the floor and sliding down the roof or the bounce of water displacement when jumping in the pool. But the main for me will always be snow depth. And be able to change textures and colors and patterns in BB mode

I would LOVE a funeral stuff or game pack. The implementation of a cemetery lot, a funeral event, funeral attire, different types of graves, a way to decorate or clean them, that would be SO amazing. I don’t want to place all my Sims’s graves on my home lot, but I’d love to be able to visit and remember them.

I'd like mixed use lots. Now that you can use For Rent to identify multiple residential units on one lot, I feel like it's just one more step to having multiple units on one lot where one is a café, one is a shop, flats above etc, but where all the non-res units actually work.
I want hobbies! Like kids should be able to go to like gymanists and ballet class and then it can become a career, but also just something fun they do later as well. I loved playing with that sims 2 pack. I want more careers, psychologist, firefighter, dancer, dentist, bank worker, etc. and yes a lot of bug fixes, high school years teen ambitions are terribly bugged!
One of the things I really want is to be able to "stack" tattoos. Now, if you put a tattoo on the Sim's left hand then you can't put one on their left forearm, elbow, or even shoulder and it just urkes me because so many people have multiple separate tattoos!

I would LOVE to see a Nordic inspired world! The only one in The Sims franchise was Aurora Skies, a store world in The Sims 3. The Home Chef Hustle pack had Nordic people working on it so it could be possible! Imagine an old city center like Stockholm, colorful wooden houses in the country, mountains and lakes! A dream ❤️

a sewing pack would be so cool, like a sewing machine that would snap to a desk like a computer and sims could make their own clothing on it. maybe it would be cool to actually create your own clothes; you pick your base (tank top, sweater, skirt, etc.) and use the paint tool like you would use on the cats and dogs to decorate it. and then the sims make it.

Tbh i dont think CAS canes or crutches or wheelchairs will ever be added but i would loooove to see them as build mode items. I’m an ambulatory mobility aid user and i have CC downloaded to put in my “disabled” sims homes. Itd be great to have that as base game
Yeah I really wish that would happen too, like with the different cultures it is really important to have representation in games. As a wheelchair user it has always made me a bit sad that there is very little representation in video games
ive used a mod at one point that added wheelchairs using the same system bikes in the game uses. while that wouldn't be perfect if someone wanted them to use the wheelchair always it still is pretty good
It’s so annoying how something as insignificant as top surgery scars was added (fyi, totally fine with trans people, but are top surgery scars really necessary for sims? And also, why not other scars?) the representation we get in the sims is only what’s trendy it’s so fake
@fukhyu3330 because top surgery scars are much easier to add than wheelchairs. I definitely think wheelchairs should be added but that would require lots of new animation. While scars are just basically a new tattoo. And yes it is needed as a trans person it's important to see myself as much as it is for a disabled person. It's not like they are against adding disability stuff as they have added hearing aids. Again something like hearing aids is way easier than wheelchairs because it's a new mesh and not new sets on animations. While they should add more disability rep there's no reason to shit on trans people. We all deserve representation. Them making top surgery scars are not taking away resources to add wheelchairs.
I don't expect any of these to happen, but there's a few things I really would like to see:
- Medieval pack/Ren Faire. Not just a kit with build items
- The future pack
- More instruments. Like drums, flute, cello, etc. It was a missed opportunity to not have after school band in high school years.
- More careers. Of course active careers are preferred, but I'll be happy with rabbit hole ones too.
- An actual animal shelter system for the stray pets
- more small animals. guinea pigs, lizards, birds, etc.
- mermaids update
- the ability to make an apartment above a community lot, or have multiple cl on one lot. Extremely disappointed we didn't get it in For Rent.
- for filters in the build log stay until you remove them. and an option for filters to apply to all categories in CAS
- more lgbt+ townies
- update the hospital. let my sims go to the doctor when they get sick, or ultrasounds for pregnant sims, etc.
- an autosave feature

As an Australian, an Australia world really lends itself to hotels. Think three neighbourhoods, one inspired by East Coast (Aus) beaches (Gold Coast maybe), maybe with some hotels on the beach, and an island lot (think great barrier reef) which you can maybe reach by jetski? And then a downtown/city area inspired by Perth, Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane, you can often find fancy and colonial/vintage style hotels here. Lastly the third neighbourhood would definitly be outback inspired, you could find motels, it would have a small country town feel (yes there a small, remote communities in the outback, but not everywhere). Australia has very pristine beaches and forrests which lean towards hotels and nature retreats. If four neighbourhoods were possible, (or if an outback section isn'tt good) a forresty section would be amazing, since South-Western Australia (where I'm from) has amazing temperate forests with massive trees and waterfalls and beautiful wildlife dispalys. Not to discredit other locations for a hotel pack obviously.

I was thinking something similar because we have so many different forms of hotels and motels and beach stays and places by the mountains and it’s just such a wonderful environment and id love to see my home in the game. And the landscaping options would be amazing! Imagine kangaroo paw and the Christmas trees (no not like this 🎄) in game!!!

With fairies I think it would be interesting if like the other occult, there are negative traits you can get - e.g. One could be ‘can’t lie’ (typical fae concept) which would lead to more embarrassing conversations/relationships can be harder to build as they come across really blunt!
I would love to see funerals added as an event, and also cemeteries to be added. Would also be cool to have a stylist career like sims 3 ambitions had where you give sims makeovers. Also online dating is a must!
I saw someone talking about wanting more gameplay or things for elderly Sims specifically. Like a Retirement pack. Retirement homes, bingo halls, etc. I think it would be a really good and fun way to send off the sim you've been working on for so long. It's on the Sims 4 subreddit in a thread asking about people's wishlists. Also, I think it would be really funny if that was their anniversary thing lol
Yes, right now because so many activities can kill your elder Sim, they feel like a burden to keep in your household, and I wish that wasn't the case
Honestly the elders have nothing once they hit that life stage it feels like all we're doing is waiting around for them to die ... which is really bad 😭 they can't do anything without being overexerted on the verge of death and there's no cute activities for them

im not a wheelchair user, but i would love to see them add wheelchairs and add ways to make builds wheelchair accessible! it would add so much inclusivity and lots of different people who use wheelchairs play the game, and people love making simselves, so adding that ability would be super cool.
edit: also! crochet would be cool to add! i know we have kitting, but i crochet and a lot of people crochet too, so that woukd be cool to add. idk how. maybe it'd be changing nifty knitting to add crochet and new crochet animations but that would be sooo cute.

YES!!! In general I just want more of that. Wheelchairs, crutches, more disability play. How awesome would it be to have service animals you can actually train for blindness/deafness/diabetes/etc?! My son has autism and I am always wanting more of these features in my gameplay.

I would actually love to see slavic inspired fairy game pack. I think it would fit really well bc of slavic mythology, there’s a lot of poems inspired with nymphs etc. I have a few other ideas for new food options (obviously dumplings (known as pierogi - also it’s already plural word, one dumpling is pieróg) or beet soup) or some traditional wardrobe and jewellery like corals and accessories like scarves. I’m not sure if there’s an accurate translation but stuff like kompot, kisiel. I think it would be really cool ❤

The two major things I really want would be a tattoo artist career, and skateboards. Cosmetic or update wise I think we’re over due for some new voices and walks, if it’s possible. I would absolutely adore a height slider as well.

Yeah I'd love a revamp to tattoos that worked more like the way fur does so you can layer them a bit more. If you want a full sleeve you have to sacrifice whatever tattoo was already there which doesn't make sense

I would love a “dietary restriction” new feature. I think it’s dumb to have lactose intolerant and vegan/vegetarian as personality traits - and I’d LOVE to see them let us make our sims keep kosher, etc!

In terms of disability/mobility aid representation I think braces would be an easy add! I wear knee braces myself and would love to have them on my simself. my disability is such a big part of my life and while I understand some people play the sims to “get away” from real life the representation really really matters!
I was thinking that too! Braces feel like they would be easy to add as an accessory, just like they did for hearing aids and glucose monitors. They could make them different sizes, from a full leg brace to just a knee or ankle brace, and maybe add some for arms too. I think that'd also "appease" the community a little bit and give them more time to work on bigger things like canes or wheelchairs.
I believe there are braces in parenthood so I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to add to the basegame

Yes! Representation is never something to "get away" from. While I understand not wanting to feel chronic pain (the game's not that immersive!) But disability gets erased from sooo much media because it makes non-disabled people uncomfortable.
Bands are definitely at the top of my list. I want more group activities and I think it would be really fun to put together a band

i really want them to make dietary restrictions a separate thing from traits. Being vegetarian or lactose intolerant is not a personality trait. It's also a cool opportunity to expand the dietary restrictions to add gluten intolerant or refrain from certain meats to reflect real life religions.

This 100%! At the bare minimum I want food preferences & diets to be part of likes/dislikes and not traits... But I would definitely prefer it to be even separated from that, so it doesn't take away slots for your sims actual personality.
It kinda feels like they are acting as if health issues are a 'personality trait' or at worst 'a choice'... I hate it (as someone who has both diet restrictions for lactose & FODMAPs (IBS) and multiple disabilities). Diets are often medical things and not just simply a preference 😕 And even when diets are not related to someone's health, it still feels weird to let it be part of sims their personality imo 😅
to add to online dating, we should have more dating & romance options. I know there's a my wedding story pack but we need to add extra opportunities for the sims to meet each other without us having to romance the same townies on our own.
I'd love to see the ability to build right on the edge of the lot in Sims 4! Also, having more flexibility to build walls on half tiles would be fantastic.

I feel like dine out is more fixing bugs than a refresh, which is almost more important since the pack just doesn't work for many people or it take a million years to just go out to eat with sims (like my sims don't stay seated).

I think having mobility canes, body braces (casts, back braces, knee braces, glasses that serve a purpose, prosthetics, etc), and wheelchairs would be a really nice way to add representation into the sims 4. Also, it would be cool if they could find a way to represent other communities, like a separate trait system for some disabilities, like if your sim has dyslexia they have a harder time learning, or a deaf sim could use asl or a hearing aid to hear. Sims could be born with a disability, players could add it, or they could acquire it as their sim ages (think elders and hearing loss). I would also really like for traits to better affect sims and gameplay. I also want more traits and more slots for those traits. If they revamped Get to Work, it would be cool to add in some more medical gameplay to go along with this.
I would love glasses to be more functional. Like if sims took them off when they slept. I'll just not give them glasses with thier sleepwear but really the only times I don’t wear my glasses are when i'm in the shower or closing my eyes going to bed.
Not sure if anyone else would want an expansion like this, but I would LOVE a pop star/broadway pack with active careers!
I feel like it could be a London inspired world where the pop stars start off with pub gigs then work their way up to big stadiums like Wembley and the theater performers could work their way up to a West-End type venue. Maybe there could even be some type of rivalry between the two like the campuses in Britechester?
Showtime was one of my favorite sims 3 packs to play with and feel like Get Famous and the musician/entertainer careers leave a lot to be desired. I would love to see a lot more music-centered careers and gameplay :)

I hope they do a pack update if it was me i would also include more swatches for the murphy bed to be mixed and matched with more packe and exclusive bunk bed for the kit because bunk beds save SO much space i know the base game have 2 options but the tiny living furniture has a very modern aesthetic that i dont think the base game bunk beds fit that much with them
My personal ideas:
A sewing game pack! You wouldn’t make things from scratch, but for example you could pick to make a dress, and you would have options for stuff like sleeves and neckline. For designs they could do something similar to dreamlight valley where you get different images and designs to decorate your creations! I would love to see a fabric store as well!
For a fairies pack, I think it would be fun if they utilized collecting more. Especially mushrooms, like maybe to get new perks or powers, you have to collect a certain mushroom or flower.
Another fairy pack idea is that once you become a fairy, you pick one ‘track’, which could either be like tinkerbell and be based on seasons, or be like winx and be based on elements
I’d love a futuristic pack! Maybe cyberpunk inspired? It could have like flying vehicles, teleportation, body modification, more robots, that kind of thing! This would be a great time to have a free update with prosthetics at well! More disability rep!

I'd love a pack that is dedicated to relationships in general. I feel like there could be so much more depth to relationships in the sims 4. More sentiments for example that enables sims to have different relationship expectations towards each other. One only wants a fling, the other wants the real deal. I want sims to be able to talk about this stuff more in depth. Maybe online-dating could be part of a pack like this. But yeah, I'd see the focus on interactions and easier ways for us to tell different relationship stories without just having to use our imagination.
I'd at least like an attraction system for physical stuff to go with the online dating/dating app. Along with something like Wicked Whims' Scan Room thing so you can autonomously find Sims that your Sim would want to chat up
I would love to see not reciprocated relationships, like one of them wants to be friends and the other hates their guts, or one has a crush and could decide to act on it or move on, and the other thinks they’re friends. I just want to be able to influence the feelings, not just the relationships
I want more plants and trees to harvest and the ability to process them like wheat to flour. I also wish there was an apply to all button in CAS so I don't have to manually reset fingernails on every fashion type.
I would love something like Free Time in Sims 2 but probably focused on arts stuff. Like ballet, theatre, pottery, new instruments etc. Add the makeover and tattoo artist careers from 3 ambitions (maybe revamp tattoos too). This could add online dating, driving boards and even cars! Just more hobbies and gig careers.
The university wall Shower added to the basegame is something I desperately want.

How fun would a retirement community world be? I would also really love a funeral event and cemetery lot type. Neighborhood stories have me building more cemeteries, but parks always seem like the best option, and sometimes I don't want to have to put playground equipment in my cemeteries.

All I really want is more items and functions related to disabilities. I use a wheelchair and cane regularly so it would be nice if I could actually make “myself” in game. The medical wearables is such a huge step, but right now they’re nothing more than cosmetic. Stuff like a new slot for “disability traits” like deaf, blind, needs aid (and move the lactose intolerant over there while they’re at it) or adding ramps to build mode.
This would be so cool! I couldn't (and still cannot) build my whole family in an acurate manner in cas. But I am able to give two of them their hearing aids now. I would love to give one of my family members their cane and their wheelchair.
Yes!!! I literally don't care if wheelchairs have to fly and defy physics to go to a second floor. (Obviously, they wouldn't do this feature poorly, but the fact that it's been 10 years (was it even in previous iterations of Sims?) And it's still not there even rudimentary is absolutely ridiculous!
They should add a pool table, smaller arcade machines, and a pinball machine. I just want more stuff that gets sims fun up.
yesss and the carpet every arcade has.... their should be a whole new lot type and multi-lot types would be nice

I really agree with Fairies. I'm not huge into occults, BUT the build/buy would be gorgeous! Also, I can imagine myself using Cottage Living build/buy along with the pack.
I'd love to see a van life expansion pack where you can design vans and RVs with RV lots and more stuff to do in the parks. I'd also LOVE a Renaissance Faire festival added! Stuff like turkey legs, jousting, mead bars, fairy dances, and obviously amazing Ren Faire costumes!

I want a sewing machine, a stroller for both elders (or what you call it for elders) and todler/babies, wheelchairs, an option that you can set makeup on all your sims outfits and that you can make your adult sims draw on paper!!

Adding pre-teens would be really good as the teens look like young adults and it is quite an age jump between the child and teen life stages
I disagree, infants are already so annoying for people who don't play family gameplay, adding a new age would just be repetitive and boring, what can a preteens do that a child or an adult can't do ? I agree there needs to be more teens looking clothes and teen activities (school year was so empty to me) but you don't need a new age stage for that. Also, there are some tips to make your sims look more teen-like on the internet, I personally use that a lot (I don't use CC) Sorry if that's controversial, but I don't understand why people want that

29:37 Re: other disability items. In the UK we have sunflower lanyards for people with hidden disabilities. They came out around 2020, coz like if an autistic person was struggling with supermarket covid changes it would be more obvious to other shoppers. Like 'hey! I'm not just being weird and awkward and confused and upset for no reason. Look at my lanyard! I have a hidden disability that may be the reason.' And people with neurodivergence have them, people with dementia, etc. So maybe adding that as like a necklace accessory would be cool.
-And can accessories not showing with certain tops get fixed please?! I would like my sim to wear a necklace with their low cut top, but it disappears! Same with bracelets with short sleeves!
-Back to the disability "accessories" again, maybe like ileostomy/colostomy bags? Like how the glucose monitors can be placed on arms, have stoma bags to be placed on bellies? And you can get covers for stoma bags (my dad has ones that say 'my other bag is a Gucci' and 'I'm full of s***' lol) so sims could still have striped/spotted/floral ones!
-Also on this slide it mentions other pride flag options. Maybe like a pencil pot with a lil mini pride flag sticking out? So you could like place it on a desk? Coz not everyone has a massive fabric flag stuck on their wall, but they could have a lil one on a stick from a Parade.

As for the other life sims, i'm more looking forward to them than the sims 4 or anything after it but id love for them to be more detailed than this game, really make their game worlds feel more dynamic and detailed.
Something culturally related is I would love to see them add stuff from slavic culture! i’m slavic, and i don’t really see anything about it in the sims, and it makes me sad that they add all these other cultures but miss mine. i adore that they are doing this, just hope they include mine!
Yes, I 100% agree. It’s so rare to find Slavic representation in western media. My culture is also very overlooked or get confused with another (I’m Cajun and our culture tend to get mixed up with Creoles).

My wishlist:
1. Give elders some love. Maybe age-specific aspirations (like High School Years does for teens), a Senior Center lot type or a lot trait that attracts elder sims to a particular lot, special interactions between your elder sims and their adult children as well as their grandchildren. This would be a cool chance to bring canes into the game if they decided to make a pack- maybe a base game update with a basic black/white/gray cane and some special swatches in the pack.
2. I want hammocks. Not sure what kind of pack this would go in, but I think hammocks would be so fun for outdoorsy and boho builds.
3. Some sort of tagging system for build & buy mode. I love the fun quirky names for all the items and want to keep them, but it’s so hard to know what to search for sometimes. It would likely take a while but just 3-4 tags for each item so you can find what you’re looking for would be such a time saver and make it easier to avoid using the same items constantly because you don’t know where to find them.
4. I love the idea of a Ren Faire or Dungeons and Dragons themed pack with medieval clothes & furniture.
5. A garage band pack. Add a drum kit and the ability for your sims to play their instruments together (harmoniously). Maybe add some fun punk clothing and hairstyles to go along with it.
I would love to see an alps inspired world!!
Edit: And, as someone who lives in the Caribbean, a caribbean inspired world would be cool!
I'd love for us to get a hairdresser stuff pack, with a hairsalon as a lot type. Things like chairs with sinks attached, hair dryers, etc. Sims could go there and sit in the chairs. It would pull you into CAS, but you could pick hairstyles that fit your sims based on their current hair. You could possibly run your own hairsalon?

All I want is an update so hearing aids and glasses aren't randomly applied to some outfits when growing up and they also stay when aging up someone with hearing aids (little more realistic aging up). And a hair type filter would be great (and then aging up with the same hair type).
Adding to that, I want to see hearing aids and earrings being worn at the same time. I wear hearing aids, spectacles and earrings a lot.

BANDS would be such a nice Stuff Pack. So many CAS items I can think of (band merch, garage-band clothes if that makes sense, music themed clothes in general), obviously new build/buy items (new variations of existing instruments we have plus NEW ones like a bass, saxophone, DRUMS as the selling point as well as musical decor and that garage band aesthetic), and then more musical gameplay with the ability to assemble a band and perform. Maybe even a musical career, but that feels like a lot for a SP. Then again, Paranormal was HUGE sooooo lol
Theme parks, pre-teens, relationship packs, going to friends/family weddings, older person pack (eg retirement home), more medical CC eg wheelchairs, amputations, and non-physical medical conditions, more family/friends experience, parents evenings at schools, christenings, funerals, etc. Supermarkets, sims get injuries, eg broken legs etc (clumsy more likely to get hurt), Hotels, more careers eg cleaners, dancers, singers, firefighters etc, pushchairs, friends and family babysitters, spiral stairs, lifts, pool tables, more swatches and food to affect bodies realistically. - Probably a lot more but these are off the top of my head.
I've been hoping for them to add sewing and pottery from the sims 2 into the sims 4 FOR YEARS! Think of all the unique CAS and build mode things we could get like in nifty knitting and even the base game workbench. Fingers crossed they listen to you, lilsimsie!
If they do an African pack (which I'd love!), they should have a "photo safari." Even if it's just a rabbit hole, it could have animal photos to collect, or little animal toys like the simmi capsules.

I would genuinely prefer to get one expansion pack per year as long as it is nicely done and feels complete. Three in one year was too much and as someone that can’t play the game as often, I barely finished playing one when the next was already out. My only request at the moment is hotels and the ability to buy vacation homes! The possibility of buying the vacation homes would even be enough
Also, more drapery!!! I worked as an interior seamstress and it KILLS ME how very few decent curtains they have. Curtains can transform a room.
