Will adhesions be easy to identify and deal with? I was against taking the ibuprofen and tramadol for the first week because of how bad they dry my mouth out at night when I'm sleeping. Hoping I didn't just make things worse.

Some please please answer. I’m only a freshman in highschool… got the surgery around 3 1/2 months ago. I was already a little behind normal progression but not far… then about a week ago my hip started hurting bad out of nowhere. Is this normal? It’s been hurting pretty bad for the last week. Im seeing the surgeon soon but Im very anxious. Anyone have any relations or thoughts?? Thank u 🙏🏽

I'm not an expert but I think for any intrusive orthopedic surgery what is to be "expected" or hoped for is a mostly slow progression of improvement of hip mobility and decreasing pain. If it suddenly starts hurting in a way it hasn't done before you should get in contact with your doctor as quickly as possible to inform them. It might not be something bad or dangerous that it's hurting but it could also be a sign of some sort of complication that might slow down or halt your improvement. You don't want to take any chances. It is good that you will be seeing your surgeon soon. Make sure you tell him everything you've been feeling. He should know what it could possibly mean and what to do next. I hope everything turns out okay for you and you have a good recovery!

@@ninanino2819 thank you for the response!! he said he thought it probably jus inflamed. I’m on anti inflammatory and steroids but I haven seen any progress yet. Hoping the pain goes down but it’s been 3 days now and it hasn’t. I’m just wondering have you seen any arthroscopes that have torn after repair? i have a bad feeling this might have happened. Thank you though!

@@believerrrrr sorry for the late response. Happy to hear you got some help! Did the situation perhaps change after a few weeks? Inflammations can sometimes take quite some time to settle down. I'm not sure how severe the pain is that you're feeling but if it was actually torn again you should definitely be able to notice it. It would hurt a lot, the joint area could swell up even more and it would be difficult to straighten out the joint. But it might be difficult to know due to post surgery pain and swelling. Again, if you're still unsure, mention it to your doctor. I really hope it isn't the case for you and that the anti-inflammatory medicine ended up working out!
