    NGC 3115 in Sextans is VERY bright easy, M77 good too no structure but bright.
    Ngc 4565 is my fav dust lane galaxy needs a 6 inch visually to see at a darkish site.
    The Wild Duck M11 is my fav though.

    An excellent presentation,thank you. Very enjoyable. Really good work and informative even if I am in Australia. The Orion nebula is special, excellent viewing with a GSO 10" dob but the sharpness & contrast, viewing it with a Stellarvue SVX140T trumps it. It is a close contest between the GSO 10" dob with nd filter( correctly aligned) V Stellarvue SVX140T with nd filter Comparable. Levels of detail and contrast, quite remarkable really. The SVT140T is truly exceptional.; despite my respect for the GSO 10" dob.

      Glad you enjoyed the video! I'm sure the SVT140T is about as good as it gets in a ~5" APO!

    Thanks Vlad. I totally missed this video and have no idea why. A good refresher for me and although I have already seen about 95% of them i hadn't viewed some of them in a long time. Thanks for bringing them to my attention once again.

    Great video Vlad. Definitely love me some m13. It’s great and I really enjoy cranking up the magnification on it to see all the individual pin dot stars in it with my 5 inch apo. Omega Centauri is also a great look if you are in the southern part of the US. I live in Texas and can see it in the southern part of the sky. Massive glob and just beautiful.

    • @AVTAstro
      @AVTAstro  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup that one is awsome and your lucky to be able to see it! Here at 45* it never clears the horizon at all.

    Another great video Vlad! I thoroughly enjoyed this video even though I live in the southern hemisphere many of the objects in your list are either not visible or too low on the northern horizon to see very well :) But its great to hear your experience, plus your enthusiasm for astronomy is contagious! I'm already planning my next dark sky site visit while listening to you :D

    • @AVTAstro
      @AVTAstro  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well I'm sure you are as enthused of seeing these Northern objects as I am for seeing the southern ones. I have yet to observe from anywhere south of the USA:(

      @@AVTAstro yup we have some interesting stuff visible from down here, I live in sydney australia. The amateur astronomy society i'm a member of (ASNSW) has the south pacific star party coming up in mid-may 2023, you're very welcome to visit and attend if its possible for you :)

      Thank you so much. Am new to the hobby and loving it, have Celestron Evolution 8" HD, been doing visual and just got Asiair Plus, EAF to start EEA on DSOs. Looking forward to it. My first view of the double cluster got me totally hooked. It is nice to learn and be excited at age 70.

    This was great! So many have channels on equipment (which I like!) but seems no one has a channel dedicated to the actual stuff in the sky at night. Maybe a second channel- hint hint 😉

    Dzięki! 😊 Bardzo przydatne wideo ☝️. Przyznam szczerze że nie jestem najlepszy z tych obiektów głębokiego kosmosu (mieszkam w mieście i w okolicy pełno świateł, więc zazwyczaj obserwuje planety lub księżyc). Ostatnio postanowiłem bardziej zapoznać się z obiektami "DS". No nagranie jest bardzo przydatne. Zapisuje je na swojej kosmicznej liście do obejrzenia.
    Pozdrawiam serdecznie 😄🤚/👍.

      Try out open clusters and globular clusters. They look good even from the city!

  • @MountainFisher
    @MountainFisher ปีที่แล้ว

    I actually like the Pleiades without most of the nebulosity photographers spend so much time to acquire. Heck, on some pictures I cannot tell which star is which there is so much.
    M-81 was the first galaxy I saw that looked like a galaxy and then I found the Whirlpool Galaxy M-51. Really nice and over by the Big Dipper too like Bodes and the Cigar galaxy, kind of easy to find and I do not have to turn my manual equatorial mount too much.😆
    I like globular clusters too Vlad. Can you see C-80, the Omega Centauri Cluster from your latitude Vlad? It doesn't rise too high above the Southern horizon here at 32 degrees and I was wondering if you can get a good view of it up in the PNW? It is like getting a closeup of an elliptical galaxy, it is so massive in my 5" Maksutov and 6" custom reflector.

    • @AVTAstro
      @AVTAstro  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately Omega Centauri does not even get above the horizon from here. The only time I saw it was from Death Vally a few years ago!

      @@AVTAstro Sorry to hear that. It is only visible in the evenings for 3 months unless you want to get up at 0400 for a little while before May. I'm not sure as I only get up that early if something special is going on like a comet or a Mercury-Venus crashing into each other for a little while then I can go back to bed.🤣
