    Yes so many people who are in their twenties are getting veneers and it’s not from meth. Mine broke down when I nearly died and went down to 70lbs fighting Lyme. People on this earth can be cruel, having a good heart is all that matters if anyone cares about the physical state of another human being they have deep issues. Being a nurse in the field of who are supposed to have compassion is so sad. Thank you for making these videos and being real.

    I’ve been binge watching your videos in preparation for my all-on-4 procedure. It’s only a week away, yay!
    I really appreciated this video. I started losing teeth five years ago after a lifetime of getting compliments on my smile (thanks for the braces, mom and dad) and i couldn’t believe the nasty, cruel, things people said to me and behind my back. Even some family members.
    I was finally diagnosed with Sjogren’s Syndrome and that explained the rampant decay that destroyed my mouth, but some people still insisted I was on drugs. Meth. It was hurtful, and I’ve been hoping that getting my face back will end the comments, but it looks like it may continue. Can’t stop idiots from being idiots, I suppose.
    Sometimes I feel really alone in having this problem and procedure done at an earlier-than-typical age, and I’ve really appreciated your videos.
    You look great, by the way! Thanks much!

    You're right about how quickly people can judge you when they find out. For this reason I opted to have mine made with slight irregularities & flaws - nothing drastic, a slightly turned canine and round edges on some, as well as a more natural hue rather than razzle dazzle brilliant white making them look like more like natural teeth instead of manufactured ones

    that nurse only made herself look like an unprofessional idiot in front of all those people! Good for you for saying what you did.

      Thanks, Some people think the ONLY way teeth go bad is from meth, It amazes me how some are such morons. And what is weird, she does NOT have very good teeth either.

    Good for you that you were able to get the work done. You have a great smile, you can eat, you can speak clearly. Honestly, screw people who don't understand. Your mouth, your teeth, are extremely important to your overall health -- especially your heart. So good for you. Isn't it great that dentistry has progressed so far! I am happy for you. I hope to get the procedure done too. Thank you for your informative, honest videos! You are helping a lot of people.

    love this video. I choose not to hide mine because we have such a small town so it was obvious I did them but I have dealt with it all myself. I went off on a guy who told me "you were pretty before, why waste the money on something so vain?" mine was a medical necessity. love you videos. makes me feel better lol

    • @jaygray4700
      @jaygray4700  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Kandi W Thanks, and I agree people can suck, and just because you had to get your teeth replaced does NOT make you vain, even though you get to pick kind of how they look. And I am glad if my videos make you feel better, I just did NOT have a big variety of stories to follow back when I started the process, so I started to make videos about my journey for others.

    People and their insecurities geez......I would not give a sugar honey ice tea about this educated dummy (the nurse) You handled this awesomely. Thank you for sharing your story. A healthcare professional should know better and I am sure she does but sadly decides not to do better.

    The only thing that matters is are you happy you got them.

    Great advice, that stigma of Method being the only culprit is a problem. Amazing how ignorant of that facts people can be.

      It is true, if you watch tv or comedians, they will always go to calling everyone a drug addict, NOT much we can do about it, and believe me I have been judged for it more than a few times.

    I think they look great, and personally, i couldnt tell the difference. If someone makes a big deal about it, they have their own personal issues to work on IMO ;)

      +m1shadow Thanks Buddy and I totally agree, and you are right that it is on her, she is totally one of those people who will never be happy. What bothers me is the fact that I see a lot of people who have their lives on hold because they already know what people will say or think about them (The crazy thing is that statistically, most of the reasons for people to loose their teeth besides accidents is vitamin deficiencies, like women loosing their teeth after having kids, and many men having an issue absorbing the vitamins). I guess I feel bad because I know the judgements people have to deal with especially in public when they go through the process.

      Its good though those people have your videos to help them deal with things easier :)

      +m1shadow Thanks Buddy, I really only had like 2 channels of people to watch when I got my teeth redone, I really wanted to hear the stories of more people at that time, so I started to document what I was doing to share because I wished others would have done it for me.

    There's no shame. You paid for them, their yours! Is there any shame getting a filling? I also wanna tell the kids on here (I'm 49) to consider other countries. It is an option. I'm presently doing it myself. As for cost of implants,think long term. It may be cheaper to bite the bullet, I'm doing a boat load of work for far less then a new economy car. I'm calling this my mid-life crisis.

    Thank you for posting. I also was in an accident and the airbag ruined my teeth. Two front and side. You can see my story here:
    th-cam.com/video/IS0mQIwr6Og/w-d-xo.html
    I have not had to courage to do anything yet. I am in pain a lot but I am still in trauma from the wreck and cannot face it.
    I have a few questions.........Were your teeth knocked out immediately? And how long ago? Can you please do a time line? I am terrified.
    Also, about that nurse. I am appalled!! She has no soul. She is lower in my book than a sad person who is addicted to something and needs help. She is not a nurse. She is a viper. You are a good person helping a lot people scared to death! :-)

    She sounds very ignorant. Your teeth look very good. I'm in the process of getting six crowns. I'll have to get four veneers too. Costs so much.

      +mascottie Thanks for commenting, and congrats on getting your crowns. I totally agree that dental work is very expensive. Please keep up on your crowns,, so you won't have to get anything more expensive done down the road.

    how much did it cost

    • @jaygray4700
      @jaygray4700  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Serf Pezz Depending on where you go, $35,000 to $60,000. That also depends on all you need done, like I had to have an infection ball 5 teeth long, surgically removed and scrapped. I also needed to have bone grafting done, all of those procedures add up.

    • @DramaMoviezScalpel
      @DramaMoviezScalpel 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Serf Pezz he didn't pay anywhere near either of those figures, he went to a school.id say 20-30k:....I mean if you go to LA and get a Hollywood dentist, then yes it'll be 75,000$

    No shame. If you had an accident that caused you to lose your front teeth you could have had only them replaced with implants in most cases. What was wrong with your posterior (back) teeth that motivated your dentists to recommend that you have all your teeth removed?
