- This is one day that made CO Buffalo Pass even more exiting, extreme, than Cooke City MONTANA. I loved every bit of this day. The deep snow, the floating in deep snow, and side hill riding made for a super awesome experience. Deeper than usual snow with slightly harder surface made it easy to get stuck and hard to get out. Buffalo pass offers so much free area to ride with a bunch of open tree areas, like under the power lines. So exiting even just watching it, and riding is an exhilarating experience. this was not beginner snow conditions, even the 4 stroke sounded like it was fully loaded all the time, no wonder my belt gave out as you will see in part two of this video, coming tomorrow. King cat, m9000, rmk, alpha, khaos, all of us happy to ride together and have jolly, delightful, time.
Day 3 was the BEST, after day two had 5ft of fresh powder on day 3 the sun came out. It was a beautiful morning. the snow settled down on top and gave enough strength to ride over the top, but if dug in just a little its loose under and very deep, so stucks were not fun at all. I loved the jumps because is so soft to land. Everyone knows that snow conditions is everything when it comes to riding, and this was it, best experience ever. You couldn't climb steep mountains but every little hill was so much joy and excitement. Every bit of terrain would give you pleasure lol.
You can hear the sleds are loaded with this heavier slow but King Cat did the best. I was also the first to go through the 5 feet the day before, and helped many to get unstuck by ridding and packing snow around them. we had tree completely new guys and i had to ride and unstuck all their sled but on day 3 they left and it was only 4 of us that knew how to ride and had deep snow experience. So it was a super fun day.
Video is also awesome because we had good sunlight.
