I was a major at the time of Kargil skirmishes Pakistan pretended as if the Mujahideen forces took over our abandoned bunkers. At first we thought our PM visited Lahore and Pakistani PM also welcomed our PM for peace... But after the Lahore agreement we were also moved away forces from the Border and BSF was deployed across the LOC in a confidence building measure but when BSF noticed some elements equipped with GPMG, RPG, Stinger missiles and even SAM . But Pakistani DGMO denied any Pakistani troops crossed LOC & claimed that Mujahideen forces took over the abandoned bunkers .But Mujahideen forces don't use Artillery guns or SAM . So in the field we understood the Pakistani forces along with some militants tried to capture our position so that they can observe our troop position . We asked the Government to let us also cross the LOC and at first we would neutralise their Artillery Guns and finish the Artillery cover after that we would attack the elements of Pakistani Northern Light Infantry from behind but our Government didn't permit us to cross the LOC fearing a full scale War... Still despite all odds' we kicked them out of the Borders. Surprising us the the Pakistan Govt denied to take back their POWs and even the bodies of their own soldiers wearing NLI uniforms....As a Soldier I felt sorry 🙏 for the POWs and the dead soldiers who came here to fight us & lost their lives in the name of their country But their own country denied to recognise them ...... As a Soldier I also understood our opposite soldiers mental condition.........But at last by the pressure of International community Pakistan agreed to accept their POWs and the bodies of the soldiers who died for their Country.
Our governments were always afraid of full scale war whereas neither Pakistan army not Pakistan government were ever afraid of full scale war with India.

Acc to this documentary I feel that Gen.Musharraf and his partner generals are fully responsible for a failed Kargil operation resulted in great loss of life and end of a legal democratic goverbment. These generals always conceal their failures from public and never faced any trial for their wrong and illegal actions but always public Representatives had punished and nation too paid heavy costs but generals retired with honor and perks..

Had gen. Musarraf not taken the misadventure in kargil heights, India Pakistan friendship could have been so strong, specially after the steps taken towards friendship by Atal bihari vajpayee and nawaz sharif. But as always, the pakistan army complex had ro ruin it by entering Kargil... Not only did the operation ended up to be a complete failure, not to mention the tremendous loss of life and the entire northern light infantry division wiped out.. but most importantly, India-Pakistan relation went back to stone age.

I am an Indian and very curious about Pakistan and it's history and current affairs. But rarely I get time to read it from books. I also don't want to read Indian version bcz I don't know whether it's unbiased or not. I have read "In line of fire" and found it too much manipulated book. Tried reading "neither a hawk nor a dove" but found it too lengthy. And my desire remained unfulfilled. Then i stumbled upon this channel after watching a documentary on kargil. I always wanted to see genuine pakistani angle. So started watching this and the research he has done to make the documentary is amazing. Some points he missed which were very obvious. Pakistani fight bravely, but Indians too fought very very bravely. Imagine enemy sitting at height with the advantage of lesser damage ratio from 1:5 to 1:10. Means pakistani army was at the advantage point where if one pakistani soldier dies, already 5 to 10 Indian soldiers must have been killed by that time. You did not mention a single line about it that Indian army was at position of disadvantage. I know you have to cater to pakistani audience more but the fact remains that Indians faught from below upwards in very hostile conditions and WITHOUT crossing LoC. Yes, the orders were very crisp and clear that LoC should not be crossed at any cost bcz crossing LoC means attacking pakistan and invitation to all out war. I still remember those days when we use to read every line in newspapers to understand the war situation and used to curse our govt for not allowing air force or army to cross LoC. Because if LoC was crossed it was open and shut case to cut the supply lines. But later when I read "in line of fire" i realised that it was very calculated decision by Indian side not to cross LoC bcz actually musharaf thought that India will no option but will cross LoC and then he will have official reason to get pakistani army involved in the war. Then he could say that the army sitting on the peak is indeed pakistani army but it has joined later bcz India crossed LoC. Unfortunately, India didn't violate LoC (except at some grey areas which are not clearly demarcated) and this plan fell apart. Till then end pakistan could not admit that the soldiers were not Mujahideen but actually pakistani army. India kept on saying to take back the bodies of soldiers but pakistan didn't take them back. I still remember numerous photos were Indian soldiers buried them after namaz e janaza by maulavis and Pakistani flag on their bodies. It is also wrong to say that pakistani army started withdrawing and then indian soldiers advanced. Till the recapture of tiger hill pakistani were fighting with full strength. Capt. Vikram Batra and others fought bravely and sacrificed their lives to recapture tiger hill (recent movie Shershah is on capt. Batra). After this it was clear that Pakistan's game was over. And they started withdrawing. You said "Indians killed pakistani soldiers while they were returning back by firing on their back". What did pakistani did with Indian patrolling parties who inocently just wanted to access the situation? Many were killed by "shooting in the eye" which means the position of advantage was so much in the favour of Pakistani soldiers that they could shoot so precisely. Did they just warn parties to return? No, they killed them mercilessly. 100s of Indian soldiers died even before the war started. Indian army was in no mood to spare the Pakistanis. PM vajapayee was poet, he was against war.. but he had no option but to respond to one. Still said that "LoC must not be crossed at any point". Musharaf in his book (indirectly) accepts that the biggest mistake they did was miscalculation. They never thought that India will respond so furiously. He thought that there will be small skirmishes at every peak and Pakistani will hold the post. India will be brought to negotiating table and Siachen will also be discussed. But india responded "out of proportion". Bofors and air attack was never expected by musharaf, also crossing of LoC was expected but it didn't happen. But overall good video. It give good genuine pakistani angle, but i will still not call it as neutral assessment. What is difference between your video and movies "LoC" and "Shershah" who did not show even one brave person from other side. There are compulsions for movie makers that they don't need to be factual but more entertaining. But what were your compulsions? I could have understood if you would not have shown the brave pakistani who held the post. No one from either side is featured. It was ok. Or even just mentioning that Indians too fought bravely and have many bravely stories of their side.. even that was ok. But you just told one side of story as if it was so simple to capture the peaks by just bombard them with fighter planes and when pakistani started withdrawing bcz of orders from higher authority, shoot them in the back while they were withdrawing. @Zain khan Wazir 🚩 There is no denying that the initial plan was executed well and Pakistani forces were in a dominating position. Indian forces initially could not understand how to respond. However once they could gather themselves, they captured some important peaks with great spirit. Pakistan never expected India to fight back, they felt India is a weak country and won't be able to stomache the situation.

I was a major at the time of Kargil skirmishes Pakistan pretended as if the Mujahideen forces took over our abandoned bunkers. At first we thought our PM visited Lahore and Pakistani PM also welcomed our PM for peace... But after the Lahore agreement we were also moved away forces from the Border and BSF was deployed across the LOC in a confidence building measure but when BSF noticed some elements equipped with GPMG, RPG, Stinger missiles and even SAM . But Pakistani DGMO denied any Pakistani troops crossed LOC & claimed that Mujahideen forces took over the abandoned bunkers .But Mujahideen forces don't use Artillery guns or SAM . So in the field we understood the Pakistani forces along with some militants tried to capture our position so that they can observe our troop position . We asked the Government to let us also cross the LOC and at first we would neutralise their Artillery Guns and finish the Artillery cover after that we would attack the elements of Pakistani Northern Light Infantry from behind but our Government didn't permit us to cross the LOC fearing a full scale War... Still despite all odds' we kicked them out of the Borders. Surprising us the the Pakistan Govt denied to take back their POWs and even the bodies of their own soldiers wearing NLI uniforms....As a Soldier I felt sorry 🙏 for the POWs and the dead soldiers who came here to fight us & lost their lives in the name of their country But their own country denied to recognise them ...... As a Soldier I also understood our opposite soldiers mental condition.........But at last by the pressure of International community Pakistan agreed to accept their POWs and the bodies of the soldiers who died for their Country.

Acc to this documentary I feel that Gen.Musharraf and his partner generals are fully responsible for a failed Kargil operation resulted in great loss of life and end of a legal democratic goverbment. 1. The captured Indian pilot was brutally killed by the Pak army and it is against war law.
2. Pak air force refused to join the war because the head of pak air force was a prison of war with india in 1971, he knew he will defeat in the war

1) no he wasnt a prisoner of war. He was killed in an action. Abhinandan was prisoner of battle and we returned it to you. Never forget.
2) he is talking about kargil and not 1971.
3) obviously 9:1 is dead ratio. You guys fought against pak army in kargil who didn’t have any big guns except some machine guns. You guys brought buffor guns and a big army. But again still our soldiers fought till last bullet.

Feel so sorry for the soldiers. Very often soldiers come from poor families. The generals almost never send their sons to the front lines. I hope there is some lesson here. War never helps. Had gen. Musarraf not taken the misadventure in kargil heights, India Pakistan friendship could have been so strong, specially after the steps taken towards friendship by Atal bihari vajpayee and nawaz sharif.
But as always, the pakistan army complex had ro ruin it by entering Kargil...
Not only did the operation ended up to be a complete failure, not to mention the tremendous loss of life and the entire northern light infantry division wiped out.. but most importantly, India-Pakistan relation went back to stone age.

I am an Indian and very curious about Pakistan and it's history and current affairs. But rarely I get time to read it from books. I also don't want to read Indian version bcz I don't know whether it's unbiased or not. I have read "In line of fire" and found it too much manipulated book. Tried reading "neither a hawk nor a dove" but found it too lengthy. And my desire remained unfulfilled.
Then i stumbled upon this channel after watching a documentary on kargil. I always wanted to see genuine pakistani angle. So started watching this and the research he has done to make the documentary is amazing.
Some points he missed which were very obvious. Pakistani fight bravely, but Indians too fought very very bravely. Imagine enemy sitting at height with the advantage of lesser damage ratio from 1:5 to 1:10. Means pakistani army was at the advantage point where if one pakistani soldier dies, already 5 to 10 Indian soldiers must have been killed by that time. You did not mention a single line about it that Indian army was at position of disadvantage. I know you have to cater to pakistani audience more but the fact remains that Indians faught from below upwards in very hostile conditions and WITHOUT crossing LoC. Yes, the orders were very crisp and clear that LoC should not be crossed at any cost bcz crossing LoC means attacking pakistan and invitation to all out war. I still remember those days when we use to read every line in newspapers to understand the war situation and used to curse our govt for not allowing air force or army to cross LoC. Because if LoC was crossed it was open and shut case to cut the supply lines. But later when I read "in line of fire" i realised that it was very calculated decision by Indian side not to cross LoC bcz actually musharaf thought that India will no option but will cross LoC and then he will have official reason to get pakistani army involved in the war. Then he could say that the army sitting on the peak is indeed pakistani army but it has joined later bcz India crossed LoC. Unfortunately, India didn't violate LoC (except at some grey areas which are not clearly demarcated) and this plan fell apart. Till then end pakistan could not admit that the soldiers were not Mujahideen but actually pakistani army. India kept on saying to take back the bodies of soldiers but pakistan didn't take them back. I still remember numerous photos were Indian soldiers buried them after namaz e janaza by maulavis and Pakistani flag on their bodies.
It is also wrong to say that pakistani army started withdrawing and then indian soldiers advanced. Till the recapture of tiger hill pakistani were fighting with full strength. Capt. Vikram Batra and others fought bravely and sacrificed their lives to recapture tiger hill (recent movie Shershah is on capt. Batra). After this it was clear that Pakistan's game was over. And they started withdrawing.
You said "Indians killed pakistani soldiers while they were returning back by firing on their back". What did pakistani did with Indian patrolling parties who inocently just wanted to access the situation? Many were killed by "shooting in the eye" which means the position of advantage was so much in the favour of Pakistani soldiers that they could shoot so precisely. Did they just warn parties to return? No, they killed them mercilessly. 100s of Indian soldiers died even before the war started. Indian army was in no mood to spare the Pakistanis. PM vajapayee was poet, he was against war.. but he had no option but to respond to one. Still said that "LoC must not be crossed at any point".
Musharaf in his book (indirectly) accepts that the biggest mistake they did was miscalculation. They never thought that India will respond so furiously. He thought that there will be small skirmishes at every peak and Pakistani will hold the post. India will be brought to negotiating table and Siachen will also be discussed. But india responded "out of proportion". Bofors and air attack was never expected by musharaf, also crossing of LoC was expected but it didn't happen.
But overall good video. It give good genuine pakistani angle, but i will still not call it as neutral assessment. What is difference between your video and movies "LoC" and "Shershah" who did not show even one brave person from other side. There are compulsions for movie makers that they don't need to be factual but more entertaining. But what were your compulsions? I could have understood if you would not have shown the brave pakistani who held the post. No one from either side is featured. It was ok. Or even just mentioning that Indians too fought bravely and have many bravely stories of their side.. even that was ok. But you just told one side of story as if it was so simple to capture the peaks by just bombard them with fighter planes and when pakistani started withdrawing bcz of orders from higher authority, shoot them in the back while they were withdrawing. Such a poor assessment on this part.
We need more people like you , but may be little more towards neutral side.

@Zain khan Wazir 🚩 There is no denying that the initial plan was executed well and Pakistani forces were in a dominating position. Indian forces initially could not understand how to respond. However once they could gather themselves, they captured some important peaks with great spirit. Pakistan never expected India to fight back, they felt India is a weak country and won't be able to stomache the situation.

Pakstani fauj is not there to fight, only to manufacture baniyan & manure (fauji baniyaan, fauji fertilizer, etc.), and to own franchises of fast food restaurants (need I give an example here ;-)). Oh, & to lose half of the country, by surrendering en masse. Nobody would dare to present the reality of their fauj in Pakstan so they come up with half-baked fairy tales.
