This is my favorite style series you do. I get the hunt, (with great rules btw) but then the tasting. Oh yeah, the store won, but we're really the winners. Great video
What is crazy is how different the three of these expressions drink and they are all great. Dave was evaluating by palate impact, and if that’s the case, I agree that the RR15 drinks the softest. But the darkness and viscosity of RR15 is incredible. I went back and forth between RR15 and CNF when doing a side by side, and ultimately chose RR15. One of the problem with blinds is that you end up comparing impact as opposed to evaluating each whiskey on its own.
Wild turkey has jumped the shark on pricing while all three are delicious they are all atrociously priced. JD12 is a lot cheaper and equally as good as most RR13 bottles. Beam in general has the Hardins creek Jacob’s well batch 2 at 17.5yrs msrp 170ish smokes generations and I think beats RR15 again wild turkey while good is a ripoff even at msrp these days and other legacy distilleries are not screwing you as bad
Jacob's Well is phenomenal, but is also a pricy boy (cheapest I've found is $200). For my palate, I think aged Turkey beats out aged Beam, and am happier with my RR15 at $250 than the Jacob's Well I picked up - although I'm thrilled to have both to compare.
Hot take, I didn’t like Generations. Did a blind with RR13, Triumph, WT12 101, Single Rickhouse CNF, and Generations and Generations was easily last for me!
While Wild Turkey has definitely had a lot of big hitters the past few years, at a certain point even the big hitters aren’t worth the price tag. Asking $300+ for every great product is getting ridiculous.
I like the content guys! But my brain has such a hard time with the left and right pan of your voices. It's uncomfortable in headphones that have good directionality. It's like I'm overhearing you guys have a conversation over my back shoulder! It would be more natural to have both your voices coming from an area that is maybe 45 degrees wide rather than 180 degrees. Especially on this one since David is in my left ear and Zach is in my right 😂 Keep up the solid content!
We know a setting got off and we have fixed it but in these next few videos they might be off. It is our bad but it should be fixed in the next few videos
Good job, nice seeing this blind
This was fascinating. Proves the value of a blind.
I think the RR15 is bourbon of the year even at the inflated price.
I am quite happy with Russell's Single Barrel store picks from people I trust, especially the older ones.

Have only tried the CN-F and that was really good. This is one hell of a turkey battle!! Gobble gobble!! Cheers

Great video! In my area all three of these are priced way over the secondary market.
Love you guys you make it fun
It sucks to love bourbon and just can't afford them

I'm sure these are very good just out of my price range.
Would be cool to see the 13 and a store pick in there
My order is #1) RR15, #2) RRCNF and #3) Generations.
I don’t have the single rick but do have the R13 batch 2. My order was 1. RR15 2. RR13 3. Generations.
I recently did the exact same blind. My results were: 1. RR15 2. CNF 3. Generations
JD doesn't have the $$$ problem. Just sayin'!
Amen. Honestly screw WT way overpriced these days

Sound is still jacked, whoever is talking is in the opposite ear.
Me or mics are reversed.

It would be a good video to add some findable bottle outside of highly allocated turkey bottle......an ecbp.....any comparable 8+yr mgp bs, ofsibb etc
This vid is about the best wild Turkey products though, so it wouldn’t make sense to add a findable alternative here
