That’s a pretty strong political speech and it’s warranted . Most Americans are removed from what’s happening but it doesn’t matter if your on any side it’s a disgrace and I applaud this band for calling it out!

I'm an Irishman who finds it absolutely deplorable that a fellow countryman would use the issue of terrorism on our island to somehow justifying him 'both sidesing' this issue even when one side is committing genocide against the other. On this issue, Bishop Desmond Tutu once said 'If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.” Putting his lame comparison in context, there were just over three thousand people who were murdered during 'The Troubles' over a thirty year period in Ireland. The Israeli Defence Force has managed to kill ten times that number of Palestinians in just four months, over 13000 of them children. The Palestinians have always been an afterthought for Bono. A great speaker on the issue of South African apartheid, he has never called out Israel for its apartheid - a typical western establishment figure who hoped that placating and hoping to appeal to Israel's better nature was the way to go. Well, look where that's got us. There is no better nature ito the Zionist project and now that's in technicolour - nobody can deny seeing it. The Zionist project of Israel was based on the ethnic cleansing of nearly 800,000 Palestinians from their land in 1948, was sustained through a brutal military occupation and apartheid from 1967 onwards and now has descended into full-blown genocide. The time for the love and peace and 'both sides' brigade is over. This is a profound evil that has to be called out and stopped immediately.

They are starting to slip down the political rabbit hole again. Don’t tell me to shut up when your tickets cost 1600 for a pair. We go to your shows to escape reality even if it’s just for 2 hours. It’s what the sphere does best. Save the political rants for interviews.
I would hope the majority of people understand the distress overseas. Israel didn’t ask to be attacked, Ukraine should have joined NATO. War is not pretty and it never will be. Bono, don’t treat us like we are stupid and you are superior. You are a very talented rockstar with a wonderful band BUT leave it at that.

You haven't followed U2 for very long have you son? They have always been political. Very few of their tours have not had a political message embedded within them.
Joshua died before he would kow-tow to malevolent power, Hewson did so just to avert its disapproval. It won't do him any good, it'll now say he's insincere & just did it to appease it, which will increase its hostility toward him by adding contempt into it. Trying to curry favour by waffling about Ulster as some sort of 1/2 witted excuse for not kow-towing earlier made things even worse.
