- Remember where Bendy and the Ink Machine all began? In February 2017 two Indie developers TheMeatly and Mike Mood put together a short horror game in Unity called Bendy and the Ink Machine and released it on Gamejolt. Bendy soon became an internet sensation, taking the horror gaming community by storm and went on to become a full fledged release. In today's Bendy and the Ink Machine video we replay the first ever version of BATIM and take a stroll down memory lane, with a side by side comparison to the final complete edition of the game which released late last year.

I kinda miss that "I'm getting the hell out of here!" line. Imo, it would fit great with the new version of the chapter. It could be placed after the main character gets up after being hit by an Ink Bendy.

me too! i remember exactly how i found out about batim. i joined roblox in 2017 because i saw youtubers making fnaf roleplay videos and in the one i joined, there was a bendy model in the parking lot and everyone was gathering around him and i didnt know what batim was so i asked like wth is that thing and so they just told me "search bendy on youtube" and the first result was build our machine and omg instantly fell in love. ever since then batim has been my most favorite thing in the whole world

They removed so many lines that gave Henry character
“I’m getting the hell out of here” is one of those lines,still my favorite line from Henry
I think the ink machine just sitting there was creepier. Now it just looks cool. But it makes sense cuz the machine is goes down to the chapter 5 area. But this is great! I do like the newer one but this makes me nostalgic
I like how you did the direct comparisons between the two. It really shows how far this game has come.

I remember when the game was still new, NOSTALGIAAAAAA!!
The original ink machine can actually still be found in the finished game; in chapter three, it's behind some boards on an inaccessible shelf above one of the stairways; you can see it as you're descending. It's been there since the chapter 3 update. In addition, the music that plays in the projector room in chapter 1 has actually been changed at least twice. the music from the original was moved to the projector that is turned on when you first enter the studio in chapter 1, while the projector room was instead given a track with a more muzak sound (titled "the lighter side of hell"), and then for the Chapter 4 update, it was changed to Bendy's trademark whistling theme. In the chapter 2 update, animations were added that showed the six objects visibly disintegrating when you turn the machine on. The chapter three update changed it so that they sit flat on their pedestals without floating or disappearing, and the chapter 4 update made it so that the pedestals partially sink into the floor and are spotlit when the objects are placed on them. Something else that changed, if you look behind bendy when he appears in this version, you can see a faint trickle of ink from the machine's nozzle. For chapter 2, that was changed to the ink visibly pumping out of the nozzle, before the chapter 4 update gave it it's now familiar overhaul.

i think that the demo was just usless since 2 years ago which wasn't that awesome but at least BATIM has finally finish the complete game before 2019!!! 😉
Honestly, I think that the reason why bendy looks so different is because in the lore, with every restart of the cycle, he learns from his mistakes and evolves. It would be cool, since in the archives of batdr, it said that he has the capability to evolve, which means he probably evolved into what he is now, and the alpha version, it was the first time the cycle started, that's why he looked confused when he first 'spawned' in.

Looking back now a lot of Henry's dialogue should of been kept in. It still would of fit great with the newer version
I actually prefer the room with the ink machine in the old version then the new one surprisingly 🤔
Here's some things you didn't notice.
-There was a door near the ritual room, not an opening.
-Henry actually said "I'm getting the hell out of here."
-The lever starting up the Ink Machine made a different noise.
If this game was lost and forgotten and left in its alpha version, I could see it becoming just as popular as the "improved" and "updated" versions we are used to today

I actually like the original chapter 1 better than the new one because the lighting is more creepy and actually helps the game be more like a horror game.The randomized placement for the objects give it more challenge for the short chapter.The old jumpscare is actually more scary because it's scary seeing bendy so close for a while,the new one last for a second or two.Thats just my opinion.

No, DAGames made a song calledgospel of dismay and in the chorous Bendy says : "can I get an Amen in here?".Then CG5 released his own original song called : "Can I get an Amen?". I saw though in the comments that a lot of people believed that CG5 had stolen the song from DAGames,but in reality it's his own song!
