My polo 1.6TDI had a top speed of 199.. So frustrating. Had it tuned to 160hp so it would do it quite easily. Took me a year to get the speed limiter removed and then it could do 230😂

@@torentmonkey GEN3 is a good engine but not as capable like EVO4. MK8 engine can run 400+HP playfully where on GEN3 you would have to worry about turbo or piston-rings....

I think it rather has around 420HP rather than 466. Compare this to an RS3 Performance with 406HP. The RS3 Performance is basically almost the same in terms of accel. and can hit 305 on the speedo. So I don't think that this car has 60 more HP then a RS3 Performance.

Agree, it did seem a tad slow for a 466hp but we can't be certain.
That’s ridiculous, absolutely 466bhp, you can tell by how fast it gets to 250, 186mph is very fast, hot hatches are not designed to go this fast from an aero point of view. I have a 400bhp Ford focus and this golf looks rapid to me.

446 hp? Sure? I think it is too slow for the claimed power. You measured a 9.86 100-200 kph. Other Golf, Seat, Cupra with FWD and below 400 hp are faster. I think the car makes around 380 - 400 hp.
Considering it topped out at 288km/h on the GPS (Around 179 MPH) and considering the aero disadvantages a hatchback has to a coupe, 466hp is a perfectly reasonable estimate.
@@tescoshortage yes but the 100-200 doesn't really justify it's numbers, note that alot of tuners overestimate the hp and torque figures and it's actually much lower in real time.
My car does 283km/h GPS with 350hp and that's a hatchback.
Never saw the mentioned cars go sub 10 100-200 with under 400 hp.
466 hp clubsport have to do under 8 seconds 100-200, the old gen 888 evo 3 with 400 ps do under 9 seconds...

I wanted to buy this for so long so I went and testdrove it and the worst thing about the GTI is that it 99% of the time you driving it on the road it feels exactly like a regular golf. Its not an exciting car AT ALL. And when you want to pull off to use that power it just gives you tons of wheelspin on the front wheels and torque steer. bleeeeeeh. No thank you.

auch wenn er " leistung " hat, sind über 60k € für ein golf gti einfach zuviel des guten, wenn ich das in DM sehe, sind das deutlich über 100.00 DM, daür gabs damals oberliga fahrzeuge .....oder gut und gerne die hälfte von einem efh ...... so gerne ich auch ein neues kfz haben wollte, ich zahle diese verrückten preise nicht mehr .....und bei allem nötigen respekt ... bei eurer sehr oft gezeigten fahrweise auf landstraßen rate ich dringend zur verpixellung des tachos. es sind schon andere namhafte youtuber für weniger anzeigt worden ....

@@Krisso889 das Drehmoment ist flach gehalten. Die TCU ist wohl nicht angepasst. Deshalb wenig Drehmoment. Zum Ende hin hat er Leistung, aber die Beschleunigung fängt schon bei 5000 Umdrehungen an. Da ist wenig Drehmoment und Leistung. Deshalb denke ich, sind es 420Ps mit wenig Drehmoment. Ein 400Ps Golf 8 mit vollem Drehmoment dürfte gleich schnell sein. Peak weniger ,aber über das Beschleunigungs Drehzahlband ist der Mittelwert gleich.

RS3 is AWD, so it gets off the line much quicker / better, as it has a lot more traction, v a FWD vehicle
