During the summer down here in south Louisiana I had to train at first light and last light and limit it to 10 minutes or so. That was tough going, as even then the combined number was still well over 160. Heck its November and still the combined number is staying over 160 all day. But as they acclimate to the temperatures you can get what you need out of them as long as you pay attention to when they are slowing down ect.. That firepaw is soo cool. How long would you let a well acclimated dog full run on the slat mill?
Thanks for watching our videos! A dog that is full acclimated to the slatmill we will let run until they start showing signs they are getting tired or getting hot!
We have Jog a Dog at our kennel! I will list a link below of that brand that is a XL size! Hope this is big enough for your Great Dane! www.jogadog.com/dc7.html
That's a good question! It depends on why the dog is needing treadmill time. The Slatmill is great for dogs that enjoying running and have the drive to push themselves. The other treadmill is good because you can control the pace the dog will run at!
Why not have a harness on the dog when she's on the powered treadmill ? Safety first. On the Slatmills you've got a collar around the neck again Asking for problems.
Thanks for watching our videos! In our older treadmill videos we were using one that was bought at a garage sale! We have since then just upgraded to the Jog-a-Dog and slatmill! We still recommend normal treadmills if Jog-a-Dog or slatmill is out of the budget!
His TAIL going so fast because he's so ready to run!! My heart, he's so precious.
He LOVES it!
Thanks Ethan, Good contrast between pro and beginner. Glitch is maturing nicely, strong and powerful.
Glad you liked it! He is a little stud muffin!

If it's in the 80s. I'm going to train right after sun up,or right before sunset. My Griff seems to to over heat easily.
Great plan! That thick coat makes a difference!
That’s a great plan.
Awesome :)
If you can only have one treadmill, which would you recommend?
