    Could you have 45 degree cut your outside pieces so you don’t see the bottom of the Trex?

      Deckorators solid core boards are less dense, more durable, retain less heat and the exposed edges would look solid not grooved. (Trex has limits)

    Can I use 6x6 legs? Did you use PT? Do you think I can make long benches rather than 4 and have them be sturdy?

    • @donnygrahambuilds
      @donnygrahambuilds  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You could definitely beef it up with 6x6s. Not sure what you mean by ‘PT’. If you went the longer bench route, you’d likely need a middle support to prevent sagging.

    Thanks for the video and inspiration! My wife and I made a version of this today. You don't happen to have a link for the glides/spacers you attached to the bottom of the legs? I couldn't find anything at Lowe's that seemed appropriate for outdoor use.

    At 10:13 I see a skinny board between the wider ones on the top? I counted 6 boards across the top so where did that come from and why is it there? I am a NOVICE but want to build my own set bc the ready-made ones of resin are IMO junk. I can't go with typical type picnic as I need the seating to be open on the ends so you don't have to raise your leg to get into the table to sit down. I don't mind if they are attached vs separate benches but slide to get in.

    • @donnygrahambuilds
      @donnygrahambuilds  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That skinny board was used because my wife wanted a specific width for the table. You could definitely use full sized boards throughout. Plans are in the bio. Good luck!

    • @donnygrahambuilds
      @donnygrahambuilds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Personally we really enjoy having 2 benches on one side and 3 chairs on the opposite side. Anything weather-proof would work great, we have a few of those wicker woven style ones from our local big box store. Hope that helps! Thanks for checking out the video 👍🏽

    How long is this table? I am looking to build a 12' table and was curious if there were plans that work for that length, thanks!

    • @donnygrahambuilds
      @donnygrahambuilds  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for checking out the build! This table is just about 9’ long. There are plans linked in the video description.
      I would caution going for 12’ unless you’re going to add in a 3rd middle set of legs. The trex material is too flexible for that kind run with out center supports.
      Cheers!

    • @WizzardZero
      @WizzardZero ปีที่แล้ว

      @@donnygrahambuilds thank you so much - do you believe that these plans would be portable to make the 12' table (by 4 feet wide) if I added a third set of legs in the middle? Just having lots of difficulty trying to find design docs for that size table....thanks in advance!!

    • @donnygrahambuilds
      @donnygrahambuilds  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@WizzardZero probably unlikely. All the measurements would be off.

    • @WizzardZero
      @WizzardZero ปีที่แล้ว

      @@donnygrahambuilds That's a fantastic idea and I totally agree! 2 6' tables would be much more straightforward. How would you modify your design to support a 6' table vs the 9' that you have here? just go with 2/3 of the measurements? I assume I could mitre the trex on top in the corners if I didn't want to see the scallops on the underside of the deck pieces? Thanks in advance for the guidance!
