This movie was a mini reunion for Angela and Loretta (the two moms) because they played best friends in a movie called “Waiting To Exhale” from the 90’s. It’s a really good movie if you haven’t seen it!
No the fiancée was right he let that happen. In the end he blames the mother for her previous actions so instead of taking a sensible approach, he lies to the fiancée about the mom, then introduces the mom to her on their wedding weekend, two major no no’s for women of any culture! How could he think that was going to pass with these women!? He didn’t take the blame, he shifted to his mom(guess that was the movie’s message) but he should’ve never lied to his fiancée and hid her when he knows how his mom is, he was irresponsible and has his own blame to claim.

Jason’s mother was just looking for a reason not to like Sabrina lmao the whole movie she would just nitpick over everything like Sabrina and her family were trying so hard to connect and be nice but I would have cussed her out after she acted a that way towards me and my family that’s crazy
I blame Jason. He should have talked to his mother. Also her finding out about him being around her family way before all of this probably seemed like she was trying to keep him away from her. There’s just too much to dissect from this movie.

She didn't have any life skills or any other joy in life. Just money to inherit and a broken heart. She no doubt couldn't find work and raise her at 16, nor was she given the chance to try because her mother and sister came in between that and were arrogant about it. And the way Claudine behaved towards her confirmed that spiteful behavior. And her husband didn't make it any better keeping his mouth shut. Their mother thought of Sabrina's conception and birth as an embarrassing scandal and just snatched her away and Claudine did all the rest, not caring how her sister felt. I can't act surprised or judgy towards Geneva's actions in this movie. It was all she had left

This movie takes me back when I was 10 years old. I don’t love it that much but I do love it. It’s a great movie but it has a great all star cast. Deray Davis from Barbershop and Meagan Good and Mike Epps together again after they did Roll Bounce. The part that always got me was Meagan character talking about “Stop touching me” and I’m like “Girl he wasn’t even touching you like that. He wants to get to know you”. This movie is still good. I wish I saw it in theaters.
