A few years back people were looking for gift ideas for my birthday or something. This is an inexpensive random thing that came to mind. So I got it as a gift and it has been sitting in my center console ever since. I'll get around to it one of these days :D
I like the Ford OEM one. Its easy to install, and its hidden behind the taillight. A cleaner look and it cant be damaged by a load or loading. Granted a couple more steps to install and a few bucks more, but still easy.
I was LOL watching this video. The oil you mentioned is lock tite, not oil, the piston is installed upside down. I'm guessing you were spoofing really bad mechanics! Unless you're the really bad mechanic.

The shock tube should be on top
Weird. I followed the instructions too.... from China lol
New camera? Great video!
I used my G7 instead of the gopro for this one
Lol. Yep it doesn’t bother me either. I just hold onto it and lower it myself 🤣
anyone have info on how it's been holding up?
I bought the exact same one.
It’s not oil lol.
