The forest where you collected the moss looked magical 🤩. This turned out sooooo beautiful I want to make one now 😅. I love the gemstones you chose and the perfect setting of each piece allowing the beautiful contrast between the stones and moss just really give it a nice pop. Awesome job 🔥🔥🔥
Now I see what you meant ! I used to have terrariums and they called me turtle boy cause I brought my pets to school one time😂 our projects could be combined for sure, you made the mini landscape to wander through ! Big smile on my face, thank you ! Love it !
Haha right! After watching yours I was thinking, do I have time to remake my whole project and build me a castle for my terrarium?! 😄 lol Though I didn't have time to redo it I still think I'm going to make me another terrarium and build me a magical Wonderland. It's a miniature world I can dream of living in for sure! Thanks Nate for the inspiration! Cheers to another great year!
That’s beautiful. I love mosses and lichens. They paired really nicely with your rocks. It’s a great way to display some of your rocks rather than just having them laying around by themselves.
Oh Wow! That is beautiful! So simple yet meticulously planned and executed, to look that way! I've never thought of a living moss terrarium before! I don't know why? I've seen moss gardens before and my old neighbor did his whole yard around his house, in rocks and moss. It was way easier than grass and moss grows naturally in that area! Half our lawn was moss! Which I liked because it was green year round without the upkeep, like the lawn needed! And it was so much softer to walk on and I wasn't allergic to the moss, like I was the grass! And no mowing! So to put it, in a terrarium is brilliant! And sooo lovely! I love the look and feel of the mosses and it doesn't get too tall that you will lose your rocks in it! It stays the same, hopefully, with little upkeep! Thank you so much Marlaina! Your Makers Challenge projects are always so freaking cool and something I want to try to do myself! #MakersChallenge5 this year's turning out to be one of the best yet!!!!❤
@@MarlainaAtkins I commented on Nate's project that I'd like to be sitting on one of his little castle balconies looking out upon your little garden. 😊🌳
@gwynnfarrell1856 😄 for real! I told Nate I wish I could have incorporated his project into mine because they would have worked so nicely together. I could totally imagine myself as well wandering through his castle looking out at a magical landscape... just breathtaking. I think I might have to build another one now haha!
That is so cool! I love terrariums and biospheres!!! What a great idea!😄 Man that first half looked so inviting, I miss the PNW so bad🤣 I absolutely love how that came out! Fantastic video and thank you so much for being a part of the challenge!😄
Thanks Theo! I really had fun with this. I think collecting the Moss might have been my favorite part to be honest haha! Thanks again for having me as a part of the makers challenge and I look forward to next year. Cheers!
What a beautiful project Marlaina! Well done. I love terrariums. A miniature forest with gems that one could stare at for hours, quietly waiting to see a fairy, when night falls. Thank you for being part of The Maker’s Challenge.
Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: I love this idea. I was planning on making an isopod terrarium this spring... I never thought about showcasing some of my favorite rocks in it! Thank you for inspiring me!!!
😆 If I was a mini forest being, I'd live there! 😅 Where you went to collect the moss looks really nice. Is it safe, any bears or hairy man? Hope you had a lovely 🐣✝️ 👍
@katherinedoughty839 actually... I did see a very hairy man there... but he was short and skinny. Snuck up on me and scared the (beep) out of me lol! But other than that, only some coyotes and deer in that park... the bears are a little further out but are not too far away. They stay hidden for the most part
What a beautiful mind and terrarium. I like the bit of plant and the stone mushroom you added. Thank you for sharing another artistic endeavor. Keep thinking and having fun. See y'a next time.
Marlaina I'm glad to see you posting on TH-cam again I have missed your great videos. I had to terrariums when I was much younger and even built several out of thick glass from a broken window from my dad's store because when they built a new building a couple of the front windows came in cracked and when the new ones came in I separated the two panes of glass and even made a fish tank. I hope your family has been doing well. Last year ended very sadly with the loss of my brother in law and then a good friend of my lost her husband and then my brother passed away in less than s month, and just after Thanksgiving my wife passed away very suddenly. So I spend a lot of time on TH-cam. Keep up the great videos and God bless you and your family.
Oh Robert my heart hurts for you and your losses. My empathy and sympathy go out to you as well as my prayers for a lighter and brighter year ahead. I know its not easy. Best wishes to you and thank you as always for watching and for the lovely comments... it lights up my world. God bless
Love this so much. It just beguiles you into that little world with the plush tufts of green and magical crystal land. What a lovely place for those rocks to live, and same for the plants, thanks sharing this!!!
Love all the wonderful moss you found.. Your globe is so thick & lovely.. The terrarium is perfect.. fabulous variety of stones & mosses. Hope you never have to leave it in the hands of an unfit baby-sitter. I came home to a blobe filled to the top with water. I cried.. Yours is more lovely than mine was.. Stunning!!
🥰 thanks! I didn't end up making The Hobbit Hole darn it but I still plan on making one eventually haha. I'm still pleased with how this turned out though. Thanks for watching. I hope everything is going well with you!

Very cool Mar!...where I grew up as a kid I was surrounded by moss. I used to make "moss boxes" and put things in them. Lol..this should be a very cool project. Can't wait to see how it turns out!...wow it turned out amazing 🙌..I love it!..where did u get the bowl?. I'd like to try and do one of these with the moss from my local national Forrest.
@manisteerocks7092 yeah... I should have put that in my video. If you want it to last you should put a lid on it and have it under a light (12hrs under light, 12hrs no light) and give it a spritz of water every other day
Absolutely beautiful, awesome maker's challenge project!
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful!❤️
