What do you think about the terrariums and the finds from over the fence? I couldn't believe all of this, but I was very excited about it. Seriously, how cool is the moss ball and the Slice bottle?! Let me know wheat you think, enjoy the video, and have a great weekend!
I love these so much because they're three entirely separate stories, but they're all connected. One is the pond, one is the baseball you found, and one is the history of the house. Amazing!
Man, I came expecting one terrarium and left having seen three! Triple value! And as a fellow moss enthusiast, I can't even imagine how excited I would be seeing those baseballs in the woods. 😅
Love the moss-covered ball. There's a satisfaction in seeing some cast off human-made thing repurposed by Nature. I spent a couple of winters in my RV on the Texas Gulf Coast beach. After storms, I would find ordinary items flung up on the shore, that had become home to plants and little clams on their journey through the Gulf. Coconuts, shoes, wooden boat parts, all transformed into beautiful objets d'art by the sea. I even found a round, solid wood knob the size of a bowling ball, which I guessed to have broken off a newel post on a staircase during a hurricane. Perhaps it had rolled all the way from the Caribbean... Anyway, I enjoyed watching you build all 3 of the terrariums (terraria?). I hope the memories they stir in you make you and your family smile for many years to come.
i've always felt a weird connection to moss. my childhood home had a pretty big yard and there was no grass, just moss - i remember just sitting on the ground and staring at the moss and the bugs in it. even these days i go into the woods, sit down and stare at the ground. i've seen so many beautiful things, two of my favourites are when i watched tadpoles swim around annoying the dragonfly larvae in a little pond overgrown with plants and the time i watched a spider spin a whole web. moss, bugs and aquatic plants are my favourite things in the entire world. the baseball is oddly beautiful, normal everyday objects covered in moss always are - i once found a couch covered in moss and i kind of wanted to bring it home. beautiful terrariums as always :)
What amazing finds!! I absolutely love how you put this one together; what a creative way to recycle! We have a bunch of old bottles on our property that I love turning into terrariums ☺️
I just need to say thank you 🙏🏻 because of your channel, I now have a great hobby that includes my interest for plants more than just buying a plant and putting it on my shelf . I have autism and ADHD. This hobby helps me a lot to focus, meditate and relax. It also stimulates my special interests which are moss, plants, bugs and the colour green. Thank you thank you thank you for your teachings. Maria❤
I've only ever met one other person who has a massive love for Moss, it is just beautiful. Love the pond, I'd be over the moon if I moved into a house with an amazing ponds AND a forest in my garden. I love your wedding terrainium idea, so lovely 😍 good luck with the new terrainiums, they look awesome. I wish you and your beautiful wife many happy years in your new home with all your beautiful fish, frogs and lizards ⭐️🌞
What a great idea! I'm not a very sentimental person but I do understand why others are and I think what you have done will definitely help keep your memories of that home for a long time! That ball is amazing! Hope your new home brings you guys the same happiness as your first one! Cheers!
Neat setups! Really cool idea to use materials from the old house. It seems like such a nice sendoff. My parents recently sold my childhood home, and this video gives me some ideas on how to better come to terms with it. Thank you so much for everything you do!
This is so incredibly cute. I love the thought behind this build and how all of it came together. That bottle find was so cool! That with the tennis ball helped clean litter off the property as well and give it a second life
If I found that pond in my backyard, I would notice every plant species and all the critters enjoying it! I have a whiskey barrel pond that I reworked this spring, inspired by you! It’s gorgeous.
Oh what a great idea! My husband and I are hopefully buying a home soon and while I am excited to leave our current studio loft apartment, we've been here for almost 9 years and I'll miss it somewhat, but we have a shared yard space that has some great wee spots to gather moss and such. It will be a nice reminder of our humble beginnings while we whimisyfy our own garden (fingers crossed)
Man you're the most humble guy, still teaching forever. I love this channel. Best of luck to you with everything. Your mom's pond came out great! I love the ball one top.😊❤
This was beautifully put. Sorry if I mispell. Your channel gives me so much peace and inspiration, a weird combination of anticipation and patience. I find your art, yourself and story a inspiration. Please, Keep being your best self.
This was so inspiring! We have a lot of bottles we have found on our property built in 1882, many of them duplicates and this is a great idea of something to do with them. As well as the fragments of pottery, glass, and other items we have also found being pieces inside along the plants. Thank you so much for inspiring us with your art and creativity.
Love it. I’m going outside right now to find some inspiration. I’m new to makin anything like this and I have a forest in my back garden. Thank you for showing us step by step how to make!!!!
The idea of using material from a specific area to create a piece that connects you to the area is very beautiful and inspiring. Nearly 3 years ago my dad bought my grandmothers house after she died and he really loves to spend time there, but he lives and works here in the city about 250km away from it, so he can’t spend more than maybe two weekends per month at the house. I think I will accompany him on his next trip to the house and gather plants and soil from the garden so I can build a terrarium and give it to him for Christmas so he can always have a piece of his childhood home close to him. If the plants have already died back due to the cold, I‘ll just wait out on the idea, use the time to find the perfect container and then gift it to him for his birthday in June.
I love what you did with your found items to remember your home. I also love the pond. I used to have a pond when I lived in a house and do miss it a lot.
Off the charts for cool, both to watch in progress as well as enjoy the finished products. Yeah, I totally would have thought your favorite would be the baseball, but my favorite was the slice bottle as it actually looked so natural. NICE WORK!
I adore your work and am thrilled that you are moving to a bigger place!! :D I'm also so glad you made a few smaller builds today because your videos inspires me and got me into this cool hobby. I now have a plant and moss obsession and enjoy sharing my hobby of making sentimental items with others. Thank you so much for continuing your awesome builds
It's beautiful as in their looks and the sentimental value of the things. This is just your own unique memory scrap book of your old home. While your old home will be missed. The new home is an empty pages of a book ready to be filled with new memories.
Those turned out great. Not sure I could pick a favorite. They're each special for different reason. The baseball is just cool in it's own right. Like you, I'm amazed you found the bottle in such good shape. The largest one is simply gorgeous. Loving the new work space too.
Bro these are just the kind of things I love to do too . Making something beautiful out of items that come from a place close to your heart . I love how they turned out . And finding that baseball and the jar are pretty cool finds ❤️
I absolutely love all three of them! They're so unique! It's three years since i built mine (with the help of your free terrarium video) and it still going strong, and now i wanna build another one!
I'm Spanish, watch ur videos to improve my listening and cuz I love terrariums. I have to say that your videos are so amazing and you accent is so clear and understandable
That old bottle was dope, so cool, nice to take a piece with you that is as old as your previous home, as well as that pretty sweet baseball covered in moss, both were exceptional as well as the new build. Like you things behind it with meaning are cooler to me as well.
Your work is always amazing, even without the process of creation and the stories behind it. But these three terrariums, and the sentiment behind each one, is just something special to me. The Slice bottle probably could sell for a good amount of money too, even with a terrarium in it! But I have a feeling you won't be letting go of it. That mossy baseball is a dream find for me. The third jar with plants and substrate from your yard and pond is both beautiful physically and emotionally. Even though you have to leave this house behind, you won't forget it, and these terrariums will serve as a reminder of it every time you see them. Wish you and your wife all the best!
I hope you do more builds where you limit yourself to what you collect outside. I think it would be an amazing way to inspire people to make vivariums themselves
That bottle is really interesting as a terrarium idea. I considered doing a closed ecosphere inside a small jar about that size a while back but decided against it because I thought it would be too small. This has changed my mind completely, so I think come spring I'll give it a try
What do you think about the terrariums and the finds from over the fence? I couldn't believe all of this, but I was very excited about it. Seriously, how cool is the moss ball and the Slice bottle?! Let me know wheat you think, enjoy the video, and have a great weekend!
I made a small terrariam after watching your vid 1 year ago
the Baseball with moss is EPIC. like the new table too. Glad you decided to give it a paint job mid video - great color
I really think the naturally moss covered baseball was a spectacular find!
What you think. ;) but yes. Super awesome!
Terrariums!!!
I love these so much because they're three entirely separate stories, but they're all connected. One is the pond, one is the baseball you found, and one is the history of the house. Amazing!
Hey how about you dont speak, no one wants to hear you speak.

The next family is going to be so lucky for having that pond in their backyard.
At 10:55, you can see a cute little isopod crawling in the moss 😍 love these builds, they are all so special and unique!
@Anonymous opossum there's also an isopod. They look very different.
Man, I came expecting one terrarium and left having seen three! Triple value! And as a fellow moss enthusiast, I can't even imagine how excited I would be seeing those baseballs in the woods. 😅

Wow…a whole yard of only moss? That’s really cool, I should do that someday :)
Watching you make these terrariums was quite nostalgic. It reminded me of when I discovered your channel years ago.
What amazing finds!! I absolutely love how you put this one together; what a creative way to recycle! We have a bunch of old bottles on our property that I love turning into terrariums ☺️

It's amazing how everything in the universe with its randomness sometimes just pan out at the end. So poetic.
No, it's just how things go
Very special to find that moss covered baseball. It's a gift from the house for all the positive energy you have brought it.

Idea for those spiral stairs...a hanging terrarium! Like hang it from the bottom side of a step.
I love what you did with your found items to remember your home. I also love the pond. I used to have a pond when I lived in a house and do miss it a lot.
This video has helped me to look at terrariums in an entirely different light; as a living sentimental, time capsule that's simply beautiful.
Kindred spirits, man. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you.
So glad that you are back doing some terrariums. You are so talented and such an inspiration. Thank you so much :)

Your video is well scripted and intriguing. Amazing to watch. Thankyou
There was an underlying joy throughout this video that feels like coming home :) And yeah, the moss ball is the coolest thing!
So awesome. The homage to the old home terrariums even had a home-y feeling. The sentiment comes through, amazing!
