WOW -- that was scary. When the rear wheels lifted the first time I was sure it was going to slide into the water as I thought the bank was going to collapse. That is one neat piece of kit.
That telehandler might not have been the exact piece of equipment to use for this job, but you run what you brung. He’ll probably use something else next time. Thank you Sir for the video
Telehandler did good job for the working conditions.timed it nicely with the incoming storm.good job for the working conditions.keep on doing your thing and taking care of the beavers.kudos to your friend.👍👍👍😎😎😎🦫🦫🦫
I agree when people say a telehandler isn't the best equipment to remove a beaver dam down inside a canal. BUT if the telehandler is the equipment the farmer owns, and the operator can get it done, it is still a good option. Not the best, but still an option.
Did you use the telehandler because this was a spot where the beavers kept rebuilding? Or because of the build up of mud? Or both? ??? The telehandler is very similar to a piece of equipment the Roads Department uses in the rural area around Ottawa to clean out ditches. The biggest difference in the end of the 'telecopic arm' is the bucket is reversed so that it pulls any material towards the operator and then lifts it up. The "ditcher" uses less room on the side of the road than an excavator. Also, they are always wheeled vehicles, but they don't have wheels/tires anywhere as large as the telehandler used in your video. I liked to watch the machine at work, for I was a heavy equipment operator for the city here.

Thank You very much!
Great job by the telehandler but it is much more fun watching you clear it up! 😊
My thoughts exactly! I like how he systematically dismantles the dams stick by stick. I wait in anticipation for the little waterfalls to start😊
Well :D It's much more effort :) While I like to do it, I am ok with that :)
Pünktlich zum Feierabend. Danke
Telehandler's are very popular in Europe ,but a excavator is so much more practical for the kind of work
Telehandlers are ok but need more rear counterweight.
If I could choose, definitely I would choose excavator ;)

It always amazes me to see how much soil the beavers can pack into place.
Hola..por un minuto pensé que se iba al agua..Keny prefiero tu trabajo💪💪👍👍💝..saludos..🙋♀️🇨🇱
Nice of your friend to help you but I think you do a better job with your rake and shovel.
There was a lot of clay, it would be very hard to dig it away..
Wise to use the heavy equipment! This dam would have been a backbreaker!
Nice, heavy equipment.
Well that worked very well on that dam
the telehandler did a good job of removing the beaver dam. Good video. I liked it.

Thank You Tom!
I was pretty sure that machine was going for a swim! Nice job!
Hi Ken, they really reinforced that one. nice work he did. Thanks for the vid today..
You are welcome;)

Right;)
Lovely quick solution. Still skill needed not to end up in the drink. And that cloud formation at the start.
Greetings from the BIG SKY. I think that tractor setup is the wrong tool for the job. I'll bet you do, too.
Very good job 👍
Lots of water😊
Does the local authority pay you or the government to keep waterways clear to stop land flooding.
Nah.
When it has to be done you use whatever is handy.
Nice work
Great video Mantas
really nice!! thanks for this!!!!
Nice video, 👍👍👍👍👍
He came a lot farther down that bank that I would have dared.
He was afraid :)
Do they make sure no wildlife are in bushes or water before working?
Always :)

I used it because this was only thing what I've got at that time. It's my friend's machine :)
You do a better job than that telehandler does
😊🤷♂️
Lo hubieras puesto completo, hasta que terminara todo.
I think you need an excavator.
Yes! You can be part of it :)
@@Kenislovas no this is your own business so it is up to you to build it. If I become a part of it I would expect compensation.
:)@@JohnSmith-ug5ci
This is definitely the wrong machine for this,..need excavator with the swivel and bucket,..you could have done a much better job,..
not good equipment for this job.
That was what we have at that time :)
