It's just a rebranded, China made, PTZ camera. The internals are the same. Firmware may be slightly different because it is a branded web interface, but that's trivial. Buy the cheaper one. Don't fall for the brand tax.
I personally own a couple of the AVKANS non ndi cams, love them. We also do some live streaming at my day job where they sprung for ptzoptics cams.
The software on the AVKANS is pretty much identical to that on a couple older ptzoptics cams we still have so maybe a generation behind. Without cracking both open to check the chips, the body and glass seem identical to a generation out as well.
Knowing how Chinese factories work in the tool industry I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was identical. Most Chinese factories are required to aquire partial IP rights to anything they didn't design by themselves. Since they own part of the IP it makes it hard for the big brands to claim copyright violation, especially in Chinese courts.
So oftentimes they run the production line for the big brand during the day then produce the same thing for other brands at night with very minimal differences. Usually those changes are just cosmetic and branding. Some times some of the internal components are rebranded versions or near identical versions of chips, capacitors, mosfetts, and diodes that give the same or occasionally better preformance of their branded counterparts.
As a consumer you get the same or near identical preformance of big brands for a lower price. Even if it is somewhat unethical I say take the deal. The big brands are being unethical as well by gouging the price. At best you are offered a better warranty that the big brands 1. Expects never to get used. 2. They will make the user jump through hoops to make it near impossible for the user to make a claim. 3. Often they try to but the blame on the user using the device improperly and therefore voiding the warranty. So take the better deal when you find it.
Try loading the PTZ Optics firmware onto them

Thanks for the overview! Does either brand support NDI natively? That seems to be the big difference between PTZOptics and other brands.
AVKANS does have an NDI option. It's a little more expensive. Around the $900 range. amzn.to/3IJ6pKO
