    Nice tutorial and build VLOG. Some good references there. The PE Really makes the cockpit details pop and with all that Greenhouse, a lot of it will be seen.

    I Don't care if you can't see it! It's my favourite part actually seeing exactly what these guys had to live in or fly I'm more armour modeller but have started the Trumpeter sbd 3 Dauntless and loving it! Got Bordor model's stuka and tamiyas swordfish for afterwards but yeah I know the details there and that makes me happy! Not building to please other's but do my research and stress myself out at time's trying to put things right haha! I have this TBM 3 in 1.48 from Hobbyboss I'll get that built at somepoint lol

    I too spent a lot of time on the interior, knowing that it would be difficult to see but I had an idea. I put a tiny peanut light bulb in the cabin and ran wires into the bomb bay where I used the torpedo as a battery holder. It was a little tricky but it worked like a champ.

    Well done - the photo-etch makes all the difference, the same with your scratch build parts

    Looks good, I personally don't think much of PE, but will use it for added details.

    Looking splendid, Sully. Fine work on the photo etch and paint.
    After all this time I still haven't soldered any photo etch. I'm skeered. LAL

    A lot of great detail work! I'm guilty myself of adding stuff I know will never be seen but hey you know it's there and that's all that matters in the end. I also really like how you detailed the ammo feed with brass it looks so much better that way

    Your metal plyers create a termdous heatsink when your soldering , hold your parts with wood

    • @SullysScaleModels
      @SullysScaleModels  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers thanks for that ill try it next time

      @@SullysScaleModels No worries , although I would never try this at home , if you drip molten solder onto a glass surface it looks just like shell splatter , a rippled effect as the charge expands the armor , also works well as a impact crater in mud/dirt diaoramas , distance from glass , surface i.e, work mat ,wood , give different efeects

    Fantastic bits, how about replicate the ammo links with a bit of grey-black paint on the middle of the shell cases? A photo album of the model’s progress would be nice to keep with the finished piece. 😊

      Thanks !! I hadnt thought about that on the links! Unfortunately iv already glued the clear part on! I do have a album on my facebook page and photos on instagram also backed up on a hard drive just in case 😁
