I just amazing how Richter’s “singing” on the piano is more captivating than actual singing. It’s pure magic
the definitive interpreter of this piece for my ears will always be slava richter- RIP to perhaps the greatest pianist
Magico... infinito Richter... Gracias por existir y rodearnos de tanta belleza
We live in an age where speed holds people in its grip to the point that we need a Schubert and a Richter to join forces to let us experience the power and beauty of slower tempos.
@@RogerFleischer-p3f The tempos are mostly prescribed.
Heart-breaking and elevating.
Yes, both. In equal measure.
Incredible.
Best Version ever
Thank you for posting this! As the saying goes, "To die for."
Genius.
This is a perfect example of an interpreter going far beyond the composer's intentions.

Genius. BTW, was it this sonata when Gould fell into deep trans at concerto of Richter in Moscow?
No, it's been D 894
@@likbezpapuasov4888 Yeah. Hypnotized.
@@ФранцЛист-з2щ All nearby probably were scared to death that the guy fell into bettolepsia 🤣
Sorry, but the exact date should be 22-03-1973. On day 18 Richter played Bach, WTC
Thank you, you are right. I'll fix it.
Jeepers, what a crawl. You don't need snail-speed to achieve profundity and beauty.
