And i think ypu actually can get some clues as to whether a chicken is dominant or recessive white by looking for leakeage. Typically leakage black or red will be seen more often with dominant white. I 🤔

Genentics of Chicken Colours - Sigrid Von Dort is one of the most user friendly and understand I have read.

And if I do a thumbs in one direction I’m gonna leave a message that means one thing. Up always means no. Down always means yes. Just be counterintuitive. And change it about every month. Just get someone to fantasize about a fruit tree they want in the garden. You know for the lavender fowl to roost in that urban jungle. All across one growing zone on the planet.

I have a question. What's the difference between lavender and blue colouring? Cheers

Blue is recessive and lavender is dominate so lavender breeds true but only 50% of chick will be blue from blue x blue cross

Actually that isn't correct ^ Blue is co-dominate. It is a dilution of black and you only get blue when the gene is heterozygous to black. Two copies of the blue dilution gene will actually give you a splash chicken instead of a blue one.
Lavender on the other hand is recessive. It requires two copies, one from each parent to express in the offspring. Lavender is also a dilution of black but unlike blue it also dilutes red to a gold/cream color. When both colors are diluted(black and red) that is called Isabella. If white mottling is also there then it is called porcelain.
Simply put lavender is a recessive gene and blue is a co-dominate gene.
