Thank you!!! I’m sorry to hear that dude, I get you. I’m grateful that I stumbled upon the sport at the age I did. Coaching helps a ton, but at the end of the day it only matters what scores you’re putting up!
@@TheTwoHandedTour Haha i agree youre killing it man wish my 2 handed looked as good. I spent a year 1 handed even though two handed felt for natural. @@TheTwoHandedTour Yeah i pretty much live on youtube and have a couple friends ive made in sport shot leagues that are always willing to look at clips and give advice. Im not exactly a small guy and if i dont slide properly my knee feels it after the games XD
Oof yeah I bet 😅. I used to struggle with back issues because of my backswing, I was able to fix that by keep myself upright and using my legs. I recommend practicing and practicing getting comfortable with a longer slide because it provides many benefits! (Including your knees lol)

I’m 3 months into my journey. Just learned how to slide better into my shot. It takes years to perfect this sport in multiple ways. I’m glad you are still grinding bro keep it up 😤
Fabulous progression! I loved bowling when I was younger and was on my college bowling team. Two handed bowling wasn’t even on the radar in the 80’s! All that matters is consistency and revs when you smash the pocket! Good luck to you.
Congrats, if you had a coach he did well with you, and you did amazing yourself. Your form got more relaxed yet more condensed, and it looks great! Good luck moving forward
Crazy progression keep up the grind man! I just started about a year ago, working at a bowling alley and I'm a 1 hander, and to see myself going from someone who didn't know how to even throw a bowling ball correctly to 2 and a half months later bowling my first 200 to now a year later almost bowling my first 300 (yesterday, choked the 11th shot, ended with a 287 lol). This all really shows how hard work and dedication can really pay off. Awesome video man!
Your progression throw their years is impressive I've been bowling for more than you have and yet you're more consistent than I am shows the work you've put in
Great to see this 3 year development. You have developed quite a lot, especially having more speed in the ball. I started my 2-handed life in June this year, after bowling 1-handed for 40 years...I have had some progress, but still struggling with that ball speed being too slow...and spare shooting being all over the place. You gave me hope!
I have been bowling for about two years now, and I’ve been bowling one handed. I eventually hit a skill cap, (around 1 year in). I knew I had to change, but I never new the answer for over a year. One day, around a week and a half to two weeks ago, I got bored of bowling regularly because nothing was working, so I decided to bowl two handed. It was like the skill cap I had was lifted off my head, and I was putting up scores. I understand that I’ve been bowling two handed for a bit now, but I think it makes a real difference, and I watch this video for reference, if seen it about 4 times now just trying to find a good form to go by. Thanks for reading my ridiculously long comment
Awesome man! I’m glad to hear you’re finding ways to improve! Two handed bowling is a great way to make bowling interesting again, especially if you’ve hit a wall with one hand. Thanks for your comment! I have a newer video on this channel, giving some tips if you’re looking to improve your form! Keep at it dude!
Hi, really impressed by your progress. I just started bowling two handed for 1year and i thought i was progressing really slowly because i only broke 200 a few times and i couldnt hit pockets consistently etc. However, after seeing your video i felt motivated again and want to persevere even more for my bowling passion. Thankyou!
This is really great, I’m 14 and I’ve been bowling since I was 6 as a first generation bowler. Im not a freshman yet still in 8th grade but last week I bowled a 246. I average 185 in league and on sports shot I averaged 168 this fall. Glad to see you doing well as a young bowler
Being 2-handed seems to be the way to go now. The evolution of bowling balls vs the volume of oil is the continuation of the game. It is wonderful to see your progression over such a short period of time. Good luck and continued success!
Being a mostly self taught 2 handed bowler. The number 1 tip I would give anyone wanting to hook is do not use house ball but if you don't have any money to buy your own yet then next best tip is to throw straighter. The hook is very aggressive on house ball. Not so much with custom ones. Also, I legit hope you can go pro. Been loving the trend on 2 handed bowlers. Left field, tidy up your hair. You don't have to cut it. Make it your brand like Kyle with his hair or Belmont with his arm sleve or okayu-something dude being 2 handed but has mad fast spare shots or the super super low 2 handed dude with the massive outward support hard or the Sweden dude with his tatoos?
the progression was all on you , the nearer you got the more balanced you stayed at the end everything clicked ! it took time for you to stay down and through the shot with balance , you did it !

I’m not as skilled and I’ve been on hiatus from bowling but I started freshman year high school with maybe about an 80 average. Built up to a 180 average by my senior year. Record game at the time was a 243. Managed to place 10th individually at my districts. It was a big achievement for me at the time to show my own growth. I for my junior and sophomore years I didn’t have a good team just rotating seniors and no coach. Building up technique on my own was a tough task but I made it work well enough. I do go for fun and plan to play in a league again once I finish college. Record game at the moment is a 278. 11 strikes, 7/ on frame 4. Technically I did manage the 12 consecutive strikes needed for a 300 but that was over the course of that game and the follow up. Although unofficial at least i know I can do it.
I started bowling last year and that was when I switched to curving I instead of just bowling straight since I was now actually on a team. I’ve always been jealous of these super strong guys launching a 14-15 mph one handed while I’m over here doing a 10-11 mph two hand. I’m pretty happy I stayed two hand though because now I’m fairly consistent with an average of about 160. Not a very high average but I sure am happy with how little I practice and how long I’ve been playing.
That’s great to hear! All that matters is that you enjoy the sport. If you’re looking to improve your ball speed I’ll a video coming out soon about that! Thanks for your comment :)
Two handed doesn’t necessarily mean high speed. Actually, I find that it’s slower if you are just trying to whip it. Speed is mostly from your legs though, I’m pretty weak and can only bench like 70 pounds but I can throw it 19 mph two handed.
@@user-xs2fp2ul2o Thanks for the tip. I’m kinda same with the whole weakness thing. Since these two months since I commented I have developed a run up that almost looks like I am sprinting up to the lane. Strangely enough, me moving faster up to the lane has been my biggest factor that I could have changed.
in 3 years I was scratch one handed, I learned from books written in the 70s that I checked out from my local library. This was back in 90s in my early 20s
Thanks for the video, I live really close to you I have bowled at all these places. Just have to say this you are looking good and man LOL at stonehedge for the 1994 computers! Good job man thanks for the video!
@@TheTwoHandedTour I think I will! Can't too often just because of school and stuff, busy schedule, but i'll still try to á much as I can. It's really enjoyable!
vn but it looks like you dont have enough knee bend and your swing is not in time with your footwork. your 3rd to last step (right foot) is huge and it seems like you get into a swing too early. your elbow is moving too much laterally (very far away from your body initially). nice progression though for sure! i hope you dont think im being too negative just trying to help!
No criticism taken! I appreciate the feedback. Knee bend and swing are things I’ve been struggling with for a while now. I’m hoping a few more lessons with my coach will fix these issues. Thanks for the comment!
Love to see this! Congrats my man! Of all the balls you have used, which is your personal favorite and which would you recommend for 2 handed bowlers that have just started out?
Hi saw this video on my recommendation! I’m just starting out bowling and I’m trying to learn two handed. At age 22, I don’t have a coach or anyone to critique me. Any tips on how I can get better and learn how to properly two hand bowl? Loved this video, movtivated me a lot!
Hello! Thank you so much for the comment! I can definitely give a couple tips to anyone starting two handed bowling. First thing, never give up! I would start off with keeping your hand behind the ball, and having it cupped in your hand. Another big thing is to keep your elbow in, if you elbow comes out, it will cause to you to miss inside of your target. Learning to slide on your final step helps a lot to keep your momentum as well. And finally, get low! Getting in an athletic position creates more powerful form. Thanks again for your comment, hope this helps :)
As a two handed lefty with a backup ball myself, I can definitely say that the development in the swing certainly helps scores go up. What type of balls do you throw the most and what weight? (I'm definitely a urethane bowler, and I throw 15lbs)
I throw 15lbs. I usually go with urethane, say a purple hammer. I’ve been mainly throwing the dark web recently. It’s a solid reactive and it rolls super nice.
crazy progress I myself did bowling for northmont (D1 GWOC same conference as centerville, Wayne, Fairmont, Beavercreek) sadly couldnt get to the levels you were at with high school cause our conference was loaded asf but still amazing progress
As someone whole bowled in the Akron area from 2017-2019 in high school, you got a bright future🔥 wherever you go to college good luck! Maybe check out Kent State ⚡️ 🦅
As a pleb, I tried this at my local alley and spent the entire time in the gutter 😂 Bowling here (England) is so expensive that it's simply not feasible to spend time practicing. Plus all the pins are on strings now.
@@TheTwoHandedTour It's really not as fun! It seems to be a fairly recent trend, to try and reduce mechanical problems; but instead, the strings get tangled up 😂
@@TheTwoHandedTour I used to have a web tour edition it was amazing till i cracked it but yea I had a purple hammer but I got rid of it now I wasn’t one again but waiting cause I might get the phase 5 or super nova. What’s ur average rn in League mine idk mine yet but my practice average was arounf 230s 240s
Wow nice job, I’ve been bowling since I was young but I just started to take it more seriously and try to get better. I use 2 hands because it’s way easier to curve the ball in my opinion. Do you have any recommendations? I’m thinking about buying my own bowling ball soon.
For a two hander, I’m gonna recommend any ball from the Roto Grip hustle line. They’re cheap, and a great benchmark starterball, any of them. Some other beginner balls, Brunswick rhino, Storm Tropical Surge.
@@TheTwoHandedTour once a fan always a fan brother. Awesome to see a young man into different music and sports. Great stuff, made me happy to watch your bowling progression. We had an amazing alley right by my place almost my whole life. Shut it down not too long ago. Lots of great memories. Elm Grove lanes rip 🙏
Shoot bro I didn’t know u lived in Ohio lol. Saw my boy Bryce in the State picture. I just started two handed too! Started in like August last year. High score is 240 and I’m on Varsity.
Awesome vid! Me and my buddy have recently really gotten into taking bowling a bit more seriously and are looking to get our first reactive balls, My avg is 120 and his is 140 any suggestions or tips? Thanks a lot hope you see this!
Thank you! Of course I can help. Now I’m not sure whether you guys bowl with one or two hands, so I’ll give some more general info. A lot of times people have issues with consistently hitting their target. Now, in order to help combat that, remember to keep your elbow in! And stay low! (Bend your knees). Keeping your elbow in will prevent you from tugging, or pulling the ball inside which can be a big issue. Moving on, the release! Make sure that your hand stays under the ball all the way up to the release! Imagine that you’re keeping it cupped in your hand. Then, when getting to the release, unload your wrist, in a yo-yo motion if that helps paint a picture. As you’re unloading the wrist, come around the ball, and make sure to follow through at your target! One more tip, keep your feet straight, and your shoulders square with your target. This should help improve consistency and accuracy. Make sure to check your foot to see if you’re finishing in the same spot every time! Thanks for your comment, hope this helps :)
Go for it dude! What I recommend when first starting out is to get yourself a ball, and watch some TH-cam videos! There’s tons of great content out there, that helped me learn a lot when I was first learning.
What would you say is your go to ball? Your ole reliable/ole faithful. I’ve only been bowling seriously for 6 months and i really like the parellax effect. Highest game ive shot with it so far is 265 and I just got a prism and it’s super strong. I know most 2 handers shoot with urethane but what’s your preference?
I’ve heard of a lot of success with the effect. My go to ball would have to be the Pitch Black, but as of late it’s been the Purple Hammer. I bowl on a lot of sport shots and I always know what to expect with those two. As for reactive balls, my go to would probably be the Physix, very aggressive but controllable motion and I can really go deep with my angles without having to sacrifice choppy reaction.
205 for three years is great! If you’re having thoughts of making the switch, be careful! Experiment with it a little bit outside of practice, and make sure it’s okay with your coaches if you’re determined to make the change.
@@TheTwoHandedTour I'm def gonna practice here and there, and ik what needs to be fixed which helps. I just get 180rpm with 1h rn so if I need to move left I kinda get stuck and can't do well which is where 2h comes in
Hey homie! Your video came up on my suggested feed. I don't bowl much anymore but this is how I used to throw all the time as a right-hander. Do you insert two fingers half way and bowl with your throw? Now I wanna get back out there!

in 3 years I was scratch one handed, I learned from books written in the 70s that I checked out from my local library. This was back in 90s in my early 20s
What an interesting way to learn your game, nicely done!
I love it - great video - best of luck on your journey m8
Thank you!!!
The progress is insane. Keep it up man !
Thank you so much!!! I appreciate it
Thanks for the video, I live really close to you I have bowled at all these places. Just have to say this you are looking good and man LOL at stonehedge for the 1994 computers! Good job man thanks for the video!
Of course man! Glad you enjoyed it!
Started in June of 2022 and have been working to up my average. I'm averaging around a 170 atm with a PR 205 scratch.
Nice dude! A 170 average in a couple months is great, keep working hard!
That phisix boiii!! I use an all road. youre good as hell bro.
Tysm! I love my Physix haha
@@TheTwoHandedTour I bowl in Colorado. Hmu if you’re in town bro. I’d love to talk to you!
0:36 his form improved tremendously at the end of august
Rocking that Pantera shirt though!! Very fun video!
Thank you! Gotta love Pantera 🤘
watched the whole thing. Keep going young blood
Thanks a ton!
I wish i was this good in high school lol. I just shot my first 300 a couple weeks ago. Its an amazing feeling. Keep it up!!
Thank you, and congrats!!! It truly is an awesome feeling :)
today was my first time going bowling! it was really fun, too! got my first strike, so that was nice. also, you are amazing at this!
Glad to hear you had fun! Keep going you won’t regret it! Also thank you :)
Thanks for the comment!
that was great man, keep rolling that rock!
Thanks Chief :)
Can't believe I'm watching this! I LOVE bolwing! And this is the most midwest thing ever. I think I see some cousins there.
Haha 😂
Love to see this! Congrats my man!
Of all the balls you have used, which is your personal favorite and which would you recommend for 2 handed bowlers that have just started out?
Thank you! I would say my favorite has to be the pitch black. It’s a nice, controllable motion for two handers, and it has done so much for me.
@@TheTwoHandedTour Thank you!! I will definitely try those tips!
Great video! I see you improvise your swing at the end of the video. Please share your improvisation Gavin!
Thank you! I do want to start making tutorials. I will hopefully include some swing tips soon!
@@TheTwoHandedTour I subscribed and will looking forward to it!
great video man love the hard work
crazy progress I myself did bowling for northmont (D1 GWOC same conference as centerville, Wayne, Fairmont, Beavercreek) sadly couldnt get to the levels you were at with high school cause our conference was loaded asf but still amazing progress
As it goes on to now, the editing gets better in the video 😂
As someone whole bowled in the Akron area from 2017-2019 in high school, you got a bright future🔥 wherever you go to college good luck! Maybe check out Kent State ⚡️ 🦅
Thank you!
i loved the face you made showing you joind the team
Lol I thought some might enjoy that
Wow in 3 years you became super good. Im currently 10 months in to the 2 hand experience and I dont think ill ever turn back lol
I appreciate it! That’s right, never turn back, you won’t regret it :)
Good job on 300 Gavin.
Thank you!!!
As a pleb, I tried this at my local alley and spent the entire time in the gutter 😂 Bowling here (England) is so expensive that it's simply not feasible to spend time practicing. Plus all the pins are on strings now.
Haha I can imagine 😂. That’s interesting how all the pins are on strings there, I don’t feel like that would be as enjoyable.
@@TheTwoHandedTour It's really not as fun! It seems to be a fairly recent trend, to try and reduce mechanical problems; but instead, the strings get tangled up 😂
I can imagine haha. Sorry you have to deal with that!
Gavin That's Great, I'm Training With My Cousin Who Is Also A Pro Bowler but bowled 267 His Best Im Working On Hook
I wish that was me! Great job, and keep it up! 👍🏼🔮
Man shot first 300 on my birthday. Great progress over the years
What a coincidence lol. And thank you!!!
Keep up the hard work man I started 2 handed 2 years ago and it’s been better for me and it looks super good on u
Thank you! Keep grinding dude
@@TheTwoHandedTour thank u!!! What’s ur favorite ball to use rn mine is the hustle ink or idol
I’m enjoying the hammer dark web a lot right now. And of course the purple hammer is always a great option!
My high school average was a 213 last year
Wow nice job, I’ve been bowling since I was young but I just started to take it more seriously and try to get better.
Great progress for only three years however I believe that an increase in speed can benefit your overall game.
Thank you! I have been working on speed a lot lately, and it’s improving greatly!
Another Belmo in progress , nice going kid !!
Thank you!
I wish there was a bowling team at my high school when I was there.
Hey great work and keep it up. Hopefully get to see you at the college level soon
Thank you! I’m really looking forward to collegiate bowling. Best of luck to you!
I don't know who you are or why I was recommended this video, but I'm sincerely very proud of you
Haha awwww thanks!!!
I'm a lefty and want to convert to two-haneded. You are an inspiration
Yo dude love it iv had almost the same progress just not as many tournaments . Gj on the 300 ur in the club. Hope maybe I might see ya at a tournament
Thank you!!! Maybe I’ll see you one day ;)
Your'e making Belmo nervous... lol .. awesome watching the progression.
Haha thank you! I appreciate the kind words
Hold up!. Pantera shirt lil bro!!?? Awesome!

@@TheTwoHandedTour once a fan always a fan brother. Awesome to see a young man into different music and sports. Great stuff, made me happy to watch your bowling progression. We had an amazing alley right by my place almost my whole life. Shut it down not too long ago. Lots of great memories.

1:38 BRO THAT PIN THAT ROLLED MADE ME THINK OF 7-10
Awesome video keep grinding 💪
Thanks! Will do :)
Respect!!!😀👍
Shoot bro I didn’t know u lived in Ohio lol. Saw my boy Bryce in the State picture. I just started two handed too! Started in like August last year. High score is 240 and I’m on Varsity.
Funny you recognized him! Good job dude, best of luck!
@@TheTwoHandedTour thanks! Update, the day after I sent that comment, I bowled a 268
wow never thought i would someone from a school in our tournaments on my feed lmao. we see tallmadge at a lot of our tournaments
It’s crazy how many bowlers in the area have seen this!
Awesome video great job!
Thank you Sebastian!
Thinking about getting into bowling. Any suggestions as a beginner what to work on? How often do you play?
I need to work harder 😅 damn good for 3 years, reminds me of Packy
Haha thanks 😂. I’ll take that! Thanks for the hype, keep grinding!!!
You bowl the same way I do.
Wish I saw you at Jr. Gold, I've been bowling for 3 years and am averaging 205 for school rn but I'm having thoughts about going 2 handed
Hey, thanks for your comment! What I do, and most of us do, is insert our two fingers down to the first knuckle. You should get back out there! Bowling is such an amazing sport!
Wow that’s crazy!
Great progress 👏🏾
Thank you!
In the states clip my old high school team was beside you at like 2:50 I went to Wilmington graduated this past spring😁
