Complete hack job…the heat treat is a complete disaster. The material used to make valves requires oil quench not water. Water quench creates micro cracks….this is not the way to do this.
But why a complete hack job? The machining and other processes look good. Maybe suggest how to properly oil quench if you have the expertise? -- also context is important from the other vidoes it looks like he build engines for moped racing (small engine stuff) might only need to be good enough for a few passes. I assume he's done it before and must be fit for the purpose he requires ir for or he wouldnt bother doing it again.
