Got a full bag of PXG with the Gen3 irons, unbelievable iron and like you said the sound and feel is the best out there. I love the look and what you get with PXG is the PXG experience of the custom fit. The guys at PXG are the best out there and you come away with a club dialled in to perfection.
PXG has AMAZING deals for military members in the US! So glad that they honor the service members here! Really brings the price point down and makes the clubs more approachable from a financial standpoint.
YES they do...and in Canada......got some smokin deals on some gen 2's and gen 3 combo set...my proto driver...my gen 2 hybrids.....almost 60% off the prices....LOVE MY PXG CLUBS....big improvement on my game
@@GOLFADDICT65 I am in Canada and they told me it's only for US military?? Are you Canadian and got discount somehow? If so please tell me how you went about it!
I’ve. Probably owned around 25 different sets of irons in last 40 years. Last Saturday I hit the 0311st they are a million times better than any iron over ever hit. Amazing feeling.
Was fitted at PXG HQ Scottsdale by Dave Cunningham and I have to agree Dan. The best irons I have hit and bagged in my life. Went 4-7P and 8-GWT lofts 1* strong on the Ts to gap properly. Amazing feel and results guaranteed.
The look is not everyone's cup of tea but I like the fact it is different. I love the idea of seamless blending of different clubs in the range (although you would probably have to adjust lofts to get the gapping right). Sure they are expensive but from memory that does include some premium shafts that you would normally have to pay extra for. Had I not bought i210s last Autumn they would definitely be on my "to test" list
I love that these exist and that they are pushing the boundaries. Hopefully some of the technology will trickle down into reasonably priced ions in the future.
Just got my gen 2 0311 XF irons! I went in looking for 0211 set since the last 3 months they been doing a huge discounts. Decided the forged over cast was worth price. Don't forget fitting is needed got graphite shafts no extra price also a bonus.
I have a set of gen 2 0311 t and I really love the feel . I bought them slightly used on eBay so didn’t kill me on price. Best feeling irons I’ve ever hit , and I had a set of ping blueprints.
No one is going to play forged blades in 10 years. It's still a mindset on tour that trickles down to the amateurs. If you can get the launch, spin, and feel plus forgiveness, why hit a blade?
Great review. Have to agree with you - easily the best sounding/feeling irons I have ever hit (and I didn't want to be able to say that, LOL). Regarding pricing... While it still doesn't bring them back to the competition pricing-wise, PXG is still running a "sale" (of sorts) on the Gen3 irons and some other clubs. Current price per Gen3 iron in USD is $340.
Can’t wait for my set to arrive in the mail! PXG take over. The customer service, fitting experience and feel/ look of the club when it sits at address and thru the ball is spectacular. No club comes close. Believe the HYPE!
I agree with you. I currently game the apex cf19 and wow did I love the test of the pxg p’s. As I only use 7 up irons something to consider one day!! Lovely feel and found a shaft also that worked well for me too. No comparison to anything else I have tried and that covers the whole range from cobra to ping to mizuno to tm etc. outstanding clubs and lovely feel. Inspires confidence. Did not try the t or st though.
Great review and honest. I play PXG gen 3. The first gen were good second a disappointment but this third gen are brilliant. Yes they are expensive and I could easily enjoy mizuno again. But I love these clubs and that’s what I choose to spend my extra cash on. I don’t booze it up anymore. I don’t club it. My extravagant pleasure is PXG.
👍 Same with me Don't smoke or drink or waste money on women Golf is my vice and i laugh at the people who get their nickers in a knot over the price Nobody's standing there with a gun making you buy them after all!
I got fitted for a set of Cobra airspeed Irons just before lockdown and really love them. Here in Spain I paid 560 euros for six Irons which is not a lot of money and think they are worth every cent. P X G might be fantastic golf clubs but they are out of most peoples price range but if you can afford them why not buy them.
Best irons in the market, yes they’re expensive, yes they’re industrial, yes they have aggressive marketing but you don’t need to buy them. Personally, I would get fitted for these in a heartbeat. The feel from the Gen 3 range is unbelievable, it’s like hitting an extra firm therapeutic mattress. Great review Dan, let’s get more of these going!
Exactly right! The upper tier products in any market (phones, TV, cars, computers) are always priced the highest but as you so rightly say, no-one is FORCED to buy them. I wonder if all the people making the price comments on here are doing so on their new £1500 iPhones instead of getting a Nokia 301 for a fiver. If people can afford them I say go for it.
Jamie JAMIEH exactly, there are so many other irons out on the market that will cover any type of golfer at any handicap range. People act like they HAVE to buy PXG like it’s the only hollow headed iron with dampening materials out on the market.
So glad to see a review on these irons from someone I trust! I always wonder about them whenever I see the commercials. Yes the price is outrageous, but good to hear they are such high quality! I’ve always wondered why if they’re so good more tour pros don’t play them. I know they want the most endorsement money they can get, but if they help you perform better 🤔
Dan Hendriksen Golf fair play Lee, very classy and well put together. Don’t care what the haters say, love watching Lee and he is clearly an asset to the channel in many forms. A great team you have dan, my favourite channel by far.
Totally agree that the PXG GEN3 Irons are superb and since lockdown PXG have had their clubs on special offers as they move to a DTC marketing strategy, they are still expensive but quality costs.
Great review. I want everyone to know that most PXG's are on sale right now through the end of the month. The Gen 2 irons, all models, have been reduced from $400.00 per iron to $149.00 per iron and the Gen 3 irons from $425.00 to $299.00. These are US dollar numbers. The drivers, fairway woods, hybrids and putters also reduced. The only clubs not reduced, as far as I can tell, are the wedges. My buddy and I are each getting fitted tomorrow. Love the Gen 2 irons based on hitting a used 7-iron on the range. Going to buy as much as I can afford. My buddy is one of these guys who likes to buy the latest and greatest and then go through 1-3 sets per year, losing money on trade-ins. I tend to keep my irons for pretty much 10 years or so. Based on my length of ownership, if the Gen 3 irons feel and perform noticibly better than the Gen 2, I may just buy the Gen 3. Going to blend with P model 8-P and G and then XF or XP 5-7. Above that it is hybrids and fairway woods. Keep up the good work.
Also need to add that the PXG 0211's are on sale for $89.00 per iron (reduced from $225.00 per iron). Just posting this because a lot of people say they would play PXG if not for the price. I stumbled on the sale by accident. After hitting a used 7-iron Gen 2 XF I checked out the website and saw the sale. I called PXG and was told the sale ends November 30. At any rate, the sale prices put the cost squarely in range of the major club makers.
Just catching up on more back catalogues Dan. Surprised I missed this one. I bought a set of pre loved Version 1 0311T from eBay a whilst ago. They are sooooo lovely. Probably a bit too much of a players iron for me at around 15 hcp but I love the idea of how I can progress into these. I also have a set of VC03 Vega forged irons which are a little bit for my eye and taste now but they feel so great and give amazing smash factor numbers.
@@DanHendriksenGolf always mate! The most informative review on the gen 3 irons I've seen. Will be purchasing some meself very soon since they're on the cheap!
Tested previous generation at a range. Was given a print out from Quad with stats. My own 7 iron was carrying 158. The pxg carried 180. I asked what the loft was. 26 degrees! Same as my 5 iron. I went next door and got my own irons re-gripped and 3 years later they’re still in the bag with more new grips on them. Although the pxg felt amazing, I couldn’t justify the expense and they weren’t going to lower my scores so I passed.
I had a testing session back in early March - before lockdown. I had no thought of buying but wanted to see what they were like. The fitting was great but I was not swinging well on that evening and it was a very cold evening too. I could not even hit my 7 iron as far as I do on a par 3 at my home club. We had to work hard to get much improvement and how can you judge if you are not even hitting your own irons as well as you usually do.
I’ve had the gen 1 0311’s and now the 0311T’s which are good but I. Keep going back to my Mizuno MP 18’s which I think, feel much better. I also didn’t have the best experience in terms of after sales support compared to other manufacturers which is not what you expect at this price.
PXG is for real. They are a phenomenal club. I've had the opportunity to hit the Gen3. The best irons I have ever hit (Coming form a club ho). People hate them just because of their price, but with all of the R&D and the fitting process...its worth it.
Great review! I was going to carp about the intro, until I read "DRONE CRASH" in the description, re-watched the intro and thought, Oh, now I get it. Hope the drone wasn't a total loss. Hmm, will it be a topic of the Sunday morning show...? :)
Hi Dan! I think this PXG irons are exact the right clubs for the residence head pro of cayman, the real home of golf. Lester should fitt him on this clubs and built a set of 56 one length irons.... My favorite irons are made in japan not by PSX. The grip is not developed by them, this "V" for the fingers you can find on old golfpride grips ; "grip right - swing right" stands there on the grip.... Shall I make a photo and send you? Good old technic made by golf pride.... Have a good time and stay healthy!
Here’s a general question for you Dan, and not trying to trip you up, but if you weren’t a Titeist ambassador and PXG said, here’s a set for you, no cost, would you game them over your current set? Genuinely intrigued.
I saved up and got a set of gen 3 Pxg irons I am in love with them some don't like the looks i think they look great love the milling and muscle back look The feel is unlike anything else Would never buy any other irons again even with the price being so high
Only ever seen one set of PXG's, they looked good, they sounded good, they played pretty good as well but that could have been the player, she's very good.
I must say the price is the key, couldn’t justify spending so much more than a lot of other great clubs. Also, a big tick on the vid itself, production quality and delivery is excellent. Great review keep them coming, but no Lester?
Ace review, Ive picked up a full bag of PXG gen2 fitted for £1900 off the PXG website beofre christmas, Driver, Hybrid 4-SW! Just need courses to open so I can use 🥳
For a number of reasons avoiding buying these last time round though at that time tested and was fitted into the gen 3 p with the kbs max graphite shaft. Only use 6/7-gw depending on lofts. Currently game the apex cf19s with the kbs tgi 90 shaft and am looking to change in part due to bulkiness, clicks and offset too much. Almost got the pros last time. Obviously with lockdowns and closed courses etc difficult to know how to proceed though fortunately before then I tested on course extensively the 7 irons of zx7; jpx 921 sel; p770; p7mc (like my previous p760); cobra ford\ged etc and others. Only the jpx 921 made it to my shortlist - nice flight and better accuracy and even though lofts 34 degrees did not lose that much distance to the apex 30.5. Now about to hopefully test in garden only though the apex pro 21. An option with prices falling is to go back to the pxg which I liked the feel of the best though my game has improved considerably since then. Question is how much of a risk would it be to go with the t instead of the p which I am inclined to do for some of the reasons you mentioned including less offset. And either stick with the kbs max graphite shaft I tested with the p or else go with the kbs tgi that I know in my current irons. Any thoughts?
I was fitted for t300 and 311xp model. Love them both but admit the PXG had a little softer feel, but t300 moved through the grass better for me. Still deciding on which...boths brand are expensive. I know you hit both.
Just got my gen3 0311p and honestly they are amazing, the feel is incomparable the distance is great and the only thing I would change is the grips, my hands got a little sweaty and I could feel the grip slip a bit in my right hand other than that amazing clubs worth the money “well the lowered price” I paid lol
Excellent review, but I can't justify the price. Plus it's difficult to look at so many screws in the back of the club while it sits in my bag. My Endo forged Bridgestone J36 continue to feel and perform to well to consider such a huge price upgrade.
Would love to play a round of golf with a full set of PXG clubs, couldn’t get my head round to spending all that money but just the one time to try them would be amazing!
Dan , if you can get your hands on Epon Af tour and Af cb tour I think you will find they knock spots off pxg. I’m lucky enough to have the af tour cb irons and there is nothing that comes close to the feel . 😉🏌️♂️⛳️🍻
Just got my 0311p Gen 3. I had Mizuno JPX 919 Forged Irons. After hitting these 1 time while looking to upgrade my shafts i pulled the trigger. I did catch them on sale and didnt pay extra for my Nippon 120 shafts. Its not even close i will always have PXG in my bag for as long as i golf. The feel, sound, workability, and forgiveness are unmatched. I just bought the Mizuno last October and had to switch. Whats crazy is the wedges are even softer with solid feel. Just amazing clubs
Honestly, I can’t see myself use another brand for awhile. They are just butter. Also, there’s is no way I’ll spend that much money on irons... but I do have 0311 gen1 and 0211 gen1’s, both bought from the pxg website under $700-$800 for a set.
Did you say £440 per iron? ☹️ Hitting most if not all premium makes of irons out the middle of the face will feel great. Never tried PXG but just can’t imagine them feeling more than twice as good as say a Mizuno MP20 or a Titleist 620 MB that both retail off the shelf for c.£900 for 6 irons. Even if £2.5k was pocket change I’d still wouldn’t buy them over Mizuno, Titleist, Callaway, Wilson Staff etc. Good review though 👍🏻 and your content is now a firm favourite of mine.
prices of all PXG clubs have come down in price now only 199 US a club down from 425 US a club....cheers all UPDATE: Its JANUARY 4TH 2022 the clubs are now 165 a club Canadian ( 130 US ) cheers from Canada
The average golfer ( you tube ) you should watch his vid from last year he went on their fitting experience in the states it was unbelievable don’t think nothing can match it
Can only imagine how much negative comments you're gonna get, PXG ruffles feathers :-) I bought a set of Gen 1 irons off Ebay a couple of years ago and very happy with them. I definitely do want to get to a fitting to try out their new range as the Gen 3's are supposed to be something else in terms of feel.
Dan Hendriksen Golf The looks take getting used to. The feel and quality however is second to none. Are they worth the price tag? Depends how you value your hobby I guess. Is Audi better than Skoda etc etc. I reckon most people with hate against them just can’t stand Bob Parsons and the brash adverts.
I wonder how different they are from the 2nd Gen clubs? The 2nd Gen would at least be cheaper to buy. I like the "Industrial" look of them but like most, can't justify the price. Thanks anyway. 😊
Sounds like you rated them highly but well out of my price range. I would be looking at paying about £600 for a full set. Would love to see Ben Hogan clubs reviewed as they look good but are a more sensible price.
As good as they are (believe me, I’d live a set), the price point is unrealistic for a majority of golfers to justify. As a mid handicapper, will I see an improvement vs my current kit... probably not, but I might get more pleasure in using them. Not enough to justify the expense for me.
@@DanHendriksenGolf I did think so. Btw a chap I met on the range let me hit his 2 years ago and same as you, lovely feel and soft. One thing he said though is he regularly had to get them reset to the correct loft- so soft they bent.
Well they are over rated, had mine delivered today and went to range and came away feeling disappointed, they don't feel buttery soft and the 7,8,9 irons went the same distance......I'm stuck with these now
@@DanHendriksenGolf in 30 years of playing golf I've never been to a fitting,I buy all my clubs online and have always adapted to the club's from mizuno to Callaway so I will just have to adapt to these I suppose and maybe someday I better get a fitting see if it makes any difference tbh 👍
It's worse than that. I tested the gen 3 at $3500 a set. Thinned them all cause I was scared to hit the ground and scratch them. Stick with the Callaway apex19. Best clubs imo

I tend to stick with a shaft I know, for me it is project x 6.0 in my irons.
@@DanHendriksenGolf good advice. Any thoughts on the t vs p line.
Which one would you game?
Well done Dan
I was fitted for t300 and 311xp model. Love them both but admit the PXG had a little softer feel, but t300 moved through the grass better for me. Still deciding on which...boths brand are expensive. I know you hit both.
Interesting stuff. Clearly a quality product. Marketing could do with assisting reviewers with the naming of them though!
Yup i'm getting fit next week. $180/club brings it back to the "reasonable" range.
Hi. Any plans to test the PXG 0317 X GEN2 Hybrid? Thank you.
Would like to see you test the 0211 cast irons. Currently on sale in US for $99!
gen 3 are currently 199 a club now,,,,
Could also please test the Ben Hogan PTX- pro irons? Thanks
People will complain about cost and it’s true as T100s etc are already too much for me. However how many of the viewers will have BMW X5 s etc etc?
Aren’t the grips just Lamkin Z5 in all black
I had the gen 2 which i loved i got the gen 3 which are softer and i love them a bit more awesome clubs
Great review. But there x5 forged with acne and they cost too much.
Dan , if you can get your hands on Epon Af tour and Af cb tour I think you will find they knock spots off pxg. I’m lucky enough to have the af tour cb irons and there is nothing that comes close to the feel . 😉🏌️♂️⛳️🍻
Go and get fit Dan...do it do it 👍👍👍👍👍never hit them would like to but couldn't afford em oh well
Great Review Dan If I win the lottery tonight I buy you a set !!!
Very kind, hope you won 🤞
That intro is amazing!
Would be good to get a review of New Level Golf clubs. They seem to be launching in the U.K. now 👍🏻
Nice work bud 👏🏼👍🏼
Just got my 0311p Gen 3. I had Mizuno JPX 919 Forged Irons. After hitting these 1 time while looking to upgrade my shafts i pulled the trigger. I did catch them on sale and didnt pay extra for my Nippon 120 shafts. Its not even close i will always have PXG in my bag for as long as i golf. The feel, sound, workability, and forgiveness are unmatched. I just bought the Mizuno last October and had to switch. Whats crazy is the wedges are even softer with solid feel. Just amazing clubs
What was the quality and finish like?
Another drone? You're ruthless on them!
What club is he using for the ball data? 7 iron?
Foresight GC Quad 👍
I have a set of 0311 p and they are good clubs , my gamers are miura blades Ltd type D s , my missus stole the pxgs and plays them now .
Honestly, I can’t see myself use another brand for awhile. They are just butter. Also, there’s is no way I’ll spend that much money on irons... but I do have 0311 gen1 and 0211 gen1’s, both bought from the pxg website under $700-$800 for a set.
Dan the all knowing please do Mizuno vs Miura the blades 😁
Waiting for delivery on the XP, numbers blew me away. So did the price, but you’re only here once.
Indeed you only live once and can't take it with you
My Gen 3 “P’s” bloody expensive but bloody lovely
Did you say £440 per iron? ☹️
Hitting most if not all premium makes of irons out the middle of the face will feel great.
Exactly right.
Be ok if I was using a 7 iron 9 iron and pitching wedge only !
Pretty tough to miss it I guess. They look the size of a Buick.
prices of all PXG clubs have come down in price now only 199 US a club down from 425 US a club....cheers all
UPDATE: Its JANUARY 4TH 2022 the clubs are now 165 a club Canadian ( 130 US ) cheers from Canada
Fantastic looking iron but the price 🙈 ... lets go Mizuno.
To be honest I don’t know much about PXG, it was great to finally test them and even though the looks were not quite my eye, they felt superb
@@DanHendriksenGolf You didn't like the looks? Are you not into rivets????
You get to keep these clubs you test?
No, already gone back
I wonder how different they are from the 2nd Gen clubs? The 2nd Gen would at least be cheaper to buy. I like the "Industrial" look of them but like most, can't justify the price. Thanks anyway. 😊
In the bag?
Which of the gen3 irons did you prefer?
I think a full blend to be honest
Sounds like you rated them highly but well out of my price range. I would be looking at paying about £600 for a full set.
Would love to see Ben Hogan clubs reviewed as they look good but are a more sensible price.
Wouldn’t mind seeing a review of the Wilson staff d7 forged. Again looks a good club with a more realistic price for most people.
If thats ur range buy the hogans. I have heard nothing buy great things.
As good as they are (believe me, I’d live a set), the price point is unrealistic for a majority of golfers to justify. As a mid handicapper, will I see an improvement vs my current kit... probably not, but I might get more pleasure in using them. Not enough to justify the expense for me.
Not for me I am a mizuno iron Man, good video 👍
Thanks Mitch 👍
Bought my Cobra Pro CB's for £195. Full set.
Was that the price per iron?
Yes Mark 👍
@@DanHendriksenGolf I did think so. Btw a chap I met on the range let me hit his 2 years ago and same as you, lovely feel and soft. One thing he said though is he regularly had to get them reset to the correct loft- so soft they bent.
@@alfredthegreat9543 I'd rather buy a Wilson and stick a sponge on the face!!!!
I don't believe any club has better feel than the Mizuno MP-32 irons from 16 years ago.
Well they are over rated, had mine delivered today and went to range and came away feeling disappointed, they don't feel buttery soft and the 7,8,9 irons went the same distance......I'm stuck with these now
Surely you got fitted and tested them before buying John?
@@DanHendriksenGolf in 30 years of playing golf I've never been to a fitting,I buy all my clubs online and have always adapted to the club's from mizuno to Callaway so I will just have to adapt to these I suppose and maybe someday I better get a fitting see if it makes any difference tbh 👍
Wow 425 a club that's nuts.
they are now 199 a club
We are fortunate that p xg has a heroes program
Their taking over the entire market
Just too much money for me.
However like many things in life , if you can afford it and you need them go buy them.
Just wish the black dots were silver/chrome
Which PXG would you choose Dan.
I think a full combo for me
YOu can't convince me that 350US a club is going to make that much of a difference. Compared to 150-180 for a regular set full custom.
I’m not trying to convince anyone to buy anything, just giving you my thoughts on the product
Personally, I couldn’t justify spending that much on a set of irons. The time I chunk or thin a shot I’d be wallowing in buyer’s remorse 😕⛳️
It's worse than that. I tested the gen 3 at $3500 a set. Thinned them all cause I was scared to hit the ground and scratch them. Stick with the Callaway apex19. Best clubs imo
@@corylink3195 only paid 1500 for my gen 3 and gen 2 combo set...and thats Canadian......there are some smokin deals to be had.....best feeling clubs i have ever used and i have used most of them...cheers
