4:10 Di-Did they just use Kaclang to turn Hendrick into a projectile weapon??????? Edit: Thank you Captain Falcon for the correction. While I haven't played 7 or 8 (10 is a Japanese only MMO so I couldn't play that if I wanted to) I'm pretty sure this game has the largest amount of useable spells out of any mainline Dragon Quest game.
Honestly, I wondered why little complaints were made about the naming of Ka-spells. It's awful in my opinion, I usually scan thru the spells and sometimes used them mistakenly. What's wrong with Firebal, Firebane and Firestorm? They were perfect and shouldn't be changed. Kaclang used to be Ironize and it was easy to get what it meant. Kaclang?! And don't forget about the pun-ny naming like Hellichopter?? Give me whirlwind slash any day over that one. Whoever thought it was good to name these spells must think RPG to be an utter joke.

Imagine a boss battle where it's required to use each of the pep powers at least once during the battle to defeat that boss and the boss can only be damned or weakened by them, etc...
Eh that might get a little tedious and repetitive, but a boss that only takes significant damage from Pep attacks but it gains resistances to any specific ones used against it meaning you have to use a variety to be effective sounds like good challenge. Or have it be done against a trainer split up into 5 attacks per attempt, and better rewards as you show them more and more pep powers. Culminating in a great reward at the end like the ultimate pep attack that requires every single member in the party to be pepped up including the ones not on the field, but the result would be spectacular.
You know the most amazing thing about all of this is the fact that the hero has a shield along with a sword, I thought protagonists were only allowed to use swords or their fists in an RPG
In this game he can use swords / shield or greatsword... up to the player really. In most dragon quests, the hero has multiple different weapon types they can use. The only other one I've played, 8, the hero could use sword/shield or boomerangs... and I think spears...
Damn I don’t mind most of the characters battle cries except the protagonist. Considering all he does is scream couldn’t they have casted a better voice actor.

1:16 That is beatiful. Why we can't marry the hero with Jade? :(
Elías Alba In 3DS vertion Jade said she only thought hero is her little kid. But you can marry Rab
@@商昱鹏 With who?
Sorry man, siblings issue right there …
@@ngruiying6209 Technically, they are not blood brothers.
Ng Rui Ying genma, The girl you married is also like a sister. Serena is the only one that does not feel like a sister. Lol
That they just turned Hendrick into a cannon ball?! That one was weird AF...
That ending though caught me off guard...
If smash ultimate didn’t have the other heroes, it would’ve been cool to see one of these peo powers used as a final smash with the other characters with him.
When your sister is getting bullied and you and the whole squad show up
7:35 insane
Some of these are just absolutely amazing like adding monsters
1:02
That one broke my funny bone. XD
Hope a healer can fix it.
6:30 was that the Ethernano canon from Fairy Tail?
Yeeting Kaclanged Hendrick is still the best thing ever
one of the pep powers is literally the hero becoming so motivated by jade's "melons" that he does a mega slash attack. another one for rab. i love this game.
I like throwing a giant boulder the size of a town can do as much damage as a group of circus performers curb stomping you. At least the boulder hits everyone
While a vast majority of these are fucking gold, and just an overall joy to watch (all the ones with Jade in it), I did sometimes find myself wishing I could skip them, some were just waaay too long.
you can skip them :D
Dave's power walk is just fantastic
6:06 Is that a Tales of reference ? Looks a lot like the infamous Indignation spell.
i can't unhear it now lol INDIGNATIAAAANNN
Aye. Sylvando stole Grandad’s attack. Somewhere Yangus is salty
4:10 Di-Did they just use Kaclang to turn Hendrick into a projectile weapon???????
Edit: Thank you Captain Falcon for the correction. (Boy that sentence feels weird) There are far too many Kaspells in this game. While I haven't played 7 or 8 (10 is a Japanese only MMO so I couldn't play that if I wanted to) I'm pretty sure this game has the largest amount of useable spells out of any mainline Dragon Quest game.
*Kaclang
Honestly, I wondered why little complaints were made about the naming of Ka-spells. It's awful in my opinion, I usually scan thru the spells and sometimes used them mistakenly. What's wrong with Firebal, Firebane and Firestorm? They were perfect and shouldn't be changed. Kaclang used to be Ironize and it was easy to get what it meant. Kaclang?! And don't forget about the pun-ny naming like Hellichopter?? Give me whirlwind slash any day over that one. Whoever thought it was good to name these spells must think RPG to be an utter joke.
@@Cinema--yh3bf Ka-named abilities have existed since forever in Dragon Quest though.
@@CaptainCFalcon Please do shine some light, I only played 3 and then 11. Even so, I still didn't thought the Ka-spells to be better naming than the previous.
@@Cinema--yh3bf Spells like Kafrizz, Kazap, Kacrack, Kaboom, etc., have been in almost every game since the Dragon Quest 1. They were in Dragon Quest III too, so you must not have seen them or something.
Shocking Twist is now one of my favorite pep powers, the list includes Haulellujah and Electro Light and Bolder Toss among various others.
5:02 is the thumbnail. In case anybody cares
I care, many thanks my friend
The Z Fighters learn to mix magic spells with their power levels. MULTIPLE UNIVERSES ARE DESTROYED IN THE ENSUING CHAOS!
Developer : I designed these 50 ish unique pep powers, enjoy!
Players : only spam "Electro Light"
Dev : what the...
most of thise pep powers are basically them getting bored
3:22 The Most Powerful Attack From Hendrick!
I like all the voices, especially the main character
6:10 INDIGNATIO--wait wrong game
You’re up partner!
Do you think you can make videos showcasing the different weapon skills too ? I'd love to see that
Imagine a boss battle where it's required to use each of the pep powers at least once during the battle to defeat that boss and the boss can only be damned or weakened by them, etc...
Wow there were so many good pep powers I just didn't use
Ok trunks, i see the future is...different
7:21 - Stella costume? (It's annoying that I have yet to be able to get this game)
There is also a Jaculine of DQ7 costume where she dresses up like Jaculine of the Alltrades Abbey of the past.
But still, DQ9 > DQ7 in my opinion.
6:51 that horse reminds me Heracles in Toriko.
5:25 I in later versions they added Dave saying "SYLV!?" and was the funniest thing i heard
In my 100h gameplay I did not see all of it. And neither did u, so here we are. :)
You know the most amazing thing about all of this is the fact that the hero has a shield along with a sword, I thought protagonists were only allowed to use swords or their fists in an RPG
In most OG RPGs the hero usually has a sword and shield
In this game he can use swords / shield or greatsword... up to the player really. In most dragon quests, the hero has multiple different weapon types they can use. The only other one I've played, 8, the hero could use sword/shield or boomerangs... and I think spears...
8:41 rab becoming shigeo tokuda
I'm was sitting and thinking
HOW IN THE HELL DID HERO GET IN SMASH AFTER THIS
Damn I don’t mind most of the characters battle cries except the protagonist. Considering all he does is scream couldn’t they have casted a better voice actor.
dunno what the smoked to create some of them but i want some
Surprised theres none for jade and serena seing how these 2 are the ones with the highest charm
4:00 NANI?!
"Ahh.. Good old pep powers"
Every single one of these attacks: the moment you realize the artist did the Dragon Ball Series too
9:42 thats very goof XD !!!
