This just goes to show how much of a genuine big deal John was in the 1990s. Lots of people were pulling for John to succeed, and to do well, and wanted him to run for office. I think he would have. But no matter, he had, at 38, achieved a great deal. A lawyer, philanthropist, magazine. editor/founder/publisher (in essence a businessman), and well raised on top of it, a real gentleman by all accounts, an ill word hardly was spoken of him when he was alive. And forget the whole America's Prince bit. That wasn't what he was about at all. He truly was an American Son. It's really a shame what happened on that July night back in '99. I miss George Magazine. I miss John.
He seemed to be a down to earth guy. He wanted to be an actor but Jackie thought it too plebian. He married a beautiful female who was the polar opposite of his mother in looks but exactly the same in temperament.
John really wanted to become an actor but Jacqueline wasn't having it so he had to become an attorney instead. I wonder if he still would have been alive if he went into acting.
I like suits like that. I hate the tight-fitting style that makes a guy look like he’s going to split his pants up his ass and like he’s wearing a jacket made for a 12 year-old.
