What was wrong with the basic powershifter?
Look, when you are as accomplished as Mike is, he could play on anything and be amazing. He also gets all of his gear for free. Bearing that in mind, I am getting tired of all these drum companies spending time and resources making entry level, mid level, pro level stuff. Just make the best pedal you can and be done with it. Back in the day, (yeah I am old) there were no entry level drums or cymbals. You played what the pros played. We figured out how to get them. (mostly very hard work and a lot of yard work, paper routes and such).
This is just another pedal that claims it's got the speed, power and feel. Um, they all have said that. Wow, a dual beater? Hum..how long has that feature been available? (come on!). Do you know how to get really comfortable and play with speed, power and feel? PRACTICE!
Why aren't there plates on both sides? Pearl, are you going to keep using tricks to save production costs? That thing is made in China anyway. Do your business moderately and appropriately. "Pearl, the best reason to do business."
I have this pedal and the left foot pedal sets lower than the right one. How do i fix that?

That's great, but pearl and most other companies still haven't figured out that to make a quality double pedal, the right beater has to be off set, so that both beaters can strike as close as possible to the center, with this pedal and many others, your secondary beater is playing the side of your batter head while the main hits the center, like a single pedal should. 0/10 take it back to the drawing board.
Doesn’t that simply depend on how you clamp it on the drum?
On most pedals, with an Allen key you can move the right beater further to the right to leave the same offset on both beaters from the center.

Well, they are budget pedals as we've made the P532 for beginning drummers or anyone wanting to add a double pedal to their kit at a lower cost.
