I've been in Saudi Arabia 4 times as an ofw.i find the country fascinating.i love the culture and it's people.hoping to visit the kingdom,with my family,soon.
Still, I feel Iran looks pretty modern and very very Western compared to Saudi Arabia. We don't see so many Full Black Abaya covering in Iranian women as much as in Saudi Arab and other Arab / Muslim countries. Turkey is even more Westernized compared to Saudi and Iran though.
@SandySurf Of course... West gives freedom of speech, expression and religion to all individuals. But Islamic countries have authoritarian regimes. In other words, Muslims in Islamic countries love to be treated as slaves by a Muslim king, sheikh or ruler and are scared to raise their voice for a democracy in their country. Also, Muslims cannot openly leave Islam in a Muslim country without the threat of ☠ as per Sharia. this is how Native pre-Islamic Arab Pagans and Polytheists were gen0cided by Muhammad as they did not want to convert to his newly founded religion - Islam. Discuss with Ex-Muslims to know more truth about Islam.
