The sad part is that the spell on the grimoir that Isaac botched? It's a healing and protective spell called Celestial Paeon. He just had no talent for magic. Does tell you how dangerous magic can be to the uninitiated though.
Some little notes: 1) You don't have to brine your main pawn if you don't want to (you lose affinity), just camp out until you see the symptoms pass from them to one of the hired pawns instead. 2) Your unmaking arrow failed on the sphinx because you didn't hit her monster body parts, you hit her face. (The fight with the sphinx is actually the 11th riddle, and you get a clue to it in the tunnels leading up to her first shrine location.) 3) Giving the beggars garb to the Noble wife does not keep up the ruse, it actually scares Albert into giving it up and working honestly instead.
You can also still scam the guy with the jadeite orb if you pay off the merchant. He very obviously walks always for a minute to give you the chance to do so

Fun fact about sebastian. The instant you send him off you can follow the road to melve and if you failed to give him good items he'll be getting ambushed. Cull the monsters and you can save his life despite your mistake, it requires being fast though as I left vernworth in daylight and it was dark out when I found him along the road to melve.
if you have max romance affinity with 2 or more npcs, one you spoke to last will count as your main love interest. My playthrough, Grigori kidnapped the warrior master lion guy, but for the true ending credit scene, it was the male elf archer cuz I spoke with him last for elf people evacuation quest lol....
I even gave Ulrika arisen's bond to clearly tell the dragon who was my beloved of choice. He brought her correctly, but then after post-game it was Sara the blacksmith looking into sunset, bruh, I just upgraded my equipment at her...
17:47 has to be the most hilarious DD2 moment I have ever seen. Definetely the best thing to say while throwing hands against an Arisen-stealing harlot.
Regarding Dragons Plague: when you get to the point where you fight dragons watch out for when the dragon picks up your pawn and stares at it. If you're facing the dragon you'll see its eyes glows red and you may hear the other pawns saying that pawn is now an enemy. After the fight the pawn that was picked up will say something about not being able to control themself. That pawn will eventually get dragons plague.
Yup, had one dragon fight at night, one pawn clearly had glowing red eyes afterwards... into the brine. Next dragon fight, one pawn said "please stop me, Arisen," and another said "they are now the enemy"... into the brine as well. Pretty clear on both counts.
Just a note: the dragon in this game is not Grigori. I believe he's called "Royce" as Phaesus said. We know from Dark Arisen that each dragons are unique, and Ashe's dragon was Grette.
Oh, I forgot that Royce was a name for a moment. I thought they used it more like a adjective, because the subtitles displayed it with lowercase letter. There are only two meanings of the word Royce (Royse) to me, one would mean "rose" or "red" and the other would mean "the son of a king". Either way, interesting idea, his name could be Royce. Kinda sad that this Dragon never felt the need to introduce himself like Greg did in the first game.

@hexfirebrand6874 @dream8870 No he isn't Grigori. That was the dragon from DD1 that your Arisen fought. This Dragon never even uttered the word Grigori when talking in Latin during the flashback. Also, Phaesus proceeded to say "it wasn't enough?" after the real dragon came in and killed the Lesser one. From the sound if his dialogue, it seemed like he THOUGHT he summoned the real dragon when the Lesser Dragon came down. The scene also mirrors the one wjth Elysion in DD1, where he also called out "Grigori" like how Phaesus called out "Royce". It could have been done intentionally.
Since my Arisen is based on the Dragonlance character Raistlin, I did let Isaac have the right grimoire, since it feels like something Raistlin would do in letting fools trying to dabble in magic let things blow up in their face. And considering some of the atrocities Raistlin would do in some installments of the Dragonlance sagas, I think Isaac got off lucky vaporizing his family.
When you reach the end of the game something happens when you use an "empowered godsbane blade" while climbing next to the final boss's chest. That is all I shall say, I think that's how but regardless you shoupd still do that
it's kinda RNG because odds are you'll learn about ti from interacting with pawns over finding it on your own. in which case: literally at any point. you'll get a popup tutorial the first time you run into it. if you somehow avoid that: then i think you can contract it during the end of the game? but not sure

That one with Empress Nadinia didn't trigger this cutscene when I took too long to find the assassin. the prayer service concluded, I was looking DIRECTLY at Nadinia before the screen faded black and ended up in her room with the 2 servants going "how could this happen". TF DO YOU MEAN HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN!??!? WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED!!! LOL
I know DD1 confirmed that DD is multi timeline for each player but all DD1 players with the Dragon are "How many times do we have to teach this lesson, Old man!"
There are actually uses for dragonsplague to use to your advantage. I have had thief pawns just wreck shit even faster than usual that have it. I just dont recommend staying at an inn or your house pre-dragon while you have said pawn in your party.
On Sebastion's Last Trip, I gave him the correct items (2 cure all and 1 cyclops eyeball), he made it back. Then his momma confronted us about them being twins, and then mom went apeshit and started slapping me in front of them and I had to kill her.
Its reveled that in the Sebastian's quest the girl is actually his twin sister, not just a look alike. After he returns home safely, you can find the maid in the slums. Here she tells you as much though some history. Something along the lines of the family believed the girl was cursed so they sent her to the slums and kept the boy. Then you realize the entire time the mom probably knew it was her at the house. Since this is true regardless of ending, this just makes it all the worse for the mom. SHE must know her son died and is now replaced by her abandoned baby to keep up appearances in the nobles quarter. Which is probably why the girl says her name has to be Sebastian now.
9:07 If you do Hugo's quest with the thieves you can get him out of jail and convince him to take over Isaac's shop. He'll sell the Ferrystone plus some different colored thieves masks
PSA: If some escort quest NPC dies to the brine, carry their corpse out of the water before you use your wake stone to revive them. Otherwise they’ll just drown in that shallow water again. Had this happen to the not so bright Elf archer dude and his face stayed all red and slimey from being Brined twice. The mark stays on until he’s despawned.
I've played 60h of DD2, got my ending and never had a single moment of dragons plague. I just had my main pawn talking constantly about it some times and that was all, I was expecting something to happen all the time.
After the Coral Snakes Hugo quest line he (Hugo) can be offered to be the new shopkeeper in Isaacs old shop, comes with a 10% discount because u helped him...
one mention: if u give isaac the fake book you wont be able to recommend the job for hugo when he wants to live an honest life, the only option will be wilhelmina’s brothel so in a way is better for hugo to work at the shop instead of sending a possibly underaged guy in that kind of work (bad for the wife and daughter of isaac though)
You can employ Hugo to run the shop if the shop if you give Issac the real Transference of Souls 2 however, you will have to do the Coral Snakes quest.
Never let your pawns stand near cliffs with deep water at the bottom for very long. For some reason a rift pawn that I had decided yeet himself right off a cliff and straight into the Brine. . .
I can't believe I missed so much content. I had that book for a long time and had no clue what to do with it. I spent my entire play through traving the map. The end game started and I never even gave phauess(unsure of of spelling) the blade.
The guy who mentioned Ser Gregor should have flagged the quest. I thought this was just a passing note that I couldn't do anything about. Maybe it could be my fault for not looking into it deeper but I feel like that's just unintuitive quest design.
On my first playthrough the guy with the quest walked into Sebastians house and started talking about the watch head and the dullahan. It was right after I completed Sebastians quest so I thought it had something to do with that. I didn't remember the guys name was Sir Gregor. A quest marker would have been nice.
Well, I guess now I know why some NPCs start beating each other when my Arisen walked by. I guess they were in love with him? Strange thing was I didn't remember even interacting with any of these NPCs. I first experienced this in the Vermund bar where the Captain hangs out at night. I went there to turn in a quest and two ladies suddenly started beating the crap out of each other. One was dressed like a tavern wench and the other was a cat lady.
For the Issac one you can still give him the real book. There’s a mission that involves a person named Hugo. Once you complete Hugo guestline you can have him work at Issac store so you’ll be able to buy ferrystones from Batthal
You can not tell Hugo where the coral snakes are, kill their leader and pay to get him out of gaol. Once you get Hugo out you can tell him to take over Isaac's apothecary.
Rodge quest is super easy. Just go the cave where he is without interacting with is gramps and slay the wolves. Very easy to find if you like exploring. Only hard part is all the orgres and griffins along the way when escorting him. They're not part of his quest is just I always seem to run into annoying boss monsters on that damn road to checkpoint town.
Another way to "cure" the dragons plague from your pawn that works for me is to rest at a campsite. The plague gets transferred to another pawn in your party and you can simply dismiss them. You can tell who has it based on the glowing red eyes.
Honestly another good one is assassinating the Regent Disa during the unmoored lands section. It causes Sven to be upset yet agree to join the evacuation.
I just stood frozen yesterday because I messed up with hugo’s quest.. if you are late on that quest when hugo is in prison.. he kills one of the prisoners and runs out to face the bandit leader and ends up dead.. i was on my way to him when a guard informed me they found him dead with the bandits leader both dealing a killing blow to the other.. i was so devastated 😩😩
If you give Isaac the Grimoire then he'll have openings for new employees and you can get Hugo to work there, which is less of a hassle then doing Wilhelmina's romance quest line.
Notably in ng+ when you have both combined parts of the book for Isaac's quest you can give him a full copy, the one that normally casts celestial paean. Still turns the family into sand though.
For Gregor's quest you can still get the good ending if he dies, i picked up his body and ran back to Verworth with it and bought him back to life when i entered the city.
Dragons Plauge happened to me when I rested at the Inn in Volcanic Island Camp 🥴 they slaughter everyone! I had enough wake stones to revive all the store owners and few soldiers smh
got the bad decision with the beggar in vernworth xD didnt even understood the quest and was too lazy to wait for him so i found some clothes super randomly which activated the next step for the quest so i was like oh well cool then forgot about the quest again.. some days later i was in the slums and his wife just talked to me so i was like ooh i can give the ragged clothes to her and yep.. bad decision by ignoring and not caring about that quest xD
You CAN give Everard the fake Jadeite orb, you just need to have enough gold to bribe the guy who makes the forgery so that he won't tell Everard. Considering Everard is an obvious asshole, I preferred giving him the fake and the real one to the other guy.
After I finished the House of the blue Sunbright, the mom they were deceiving with Daphne actually came downstairs. She asked the maid what the girl was doing there and what the maid had told the girl. When the maid assured her it was just about her generosity to the orphanage, the mother says she’s going to talk to the maid in private later. This little exchange makes me think that Daphne is actually Sebastian’s twin that they gave up to the orphanage and the maid knows about it and said nothing. Which is just so messed up to think about. Especially because Daphne wants to meet her parents. Poor kid.
You can pay the forger to confirm the fake Jadeite Orb is real, so you can give the beastren the real one, it’s not cheap tho, 12,000 on top of the 7,500 you paid for the orb and the 2,000 to make the forgery!
I had a pawn helping me with rodge quest but got tossed off of a cliff by a wight tornado spell so i failed it. I also decided to toss the jerk harrassing Ulrika off a cliff so shes just in another town so that quest also failed.
I’m confused cause my story is locked at trying to get this fool a job after i had to break him out of jail. Everytime i try to offer him a job, it says “never mind” I have no other quests on my board? I thought for sure it’l be in here.. welp the mystery continues. Idk what went so wrong but i’m not restarting. Theres an Npc somewhere that can fix this i know it thee.
Update!! For anybody who is stuck on finding Hugo a Job. This video came at the perfect time let me tell ya. The answer was here! Thanks Dan, But it entails setting up Isaac i’m afraid. Letting him destroy his family, once you do that. Instead of the shop being empty the rest of the game, your prompted to offer Hugo, Isaacs Job 😂 unreal how deep this game is..
For some reason, the dragon took a rando as my "beloved". I have no idea why given that I have maxxed out my relationship with Ulrika. Is this a glitch?
The Roge quest was bugged for me, I had to find the cave without markers... The NPC that was supposed to tell me wouldn't... So I sent him to the deep Edit: It's actually better to let Sebastian die.. Let one die, save two.
I actually have two problems with the Whilemina character; first - she's half beastren but you guys automatically make her a madame at a brothel (Many Connotations - not cool devs) second; she really ONLY has that weird eye to mark she's even part beastren in the first place. You'd think that if a beastren and a human could have a child there'd be more variation. More visibly distinct cat features. Even if the human would meld as well to be less cat-like overall. Hell you could explain THAT being the reason that this game has "elves." But nope. I also think they could've bothered since there are only 2 LI's to make BOTH of them equally attractive. Ulrika's got the girl next door sweetheart thing going for her, but damn is she kinda the plain jane between the two. [I also don't know why "Whilly do it's" the only one to get the Fallout Black Screen connotation as a cap off] It would be nice to actually have the thing play out to a marriage and kids. At least that way you get a continuance of the line and it'd seem like they're actually taking the romance aspect seriously. Ooo, if you put two maxed LI's together they fist fight. The best you've got is your BFF and a former whore... but hey; it's "romance." Nevermind they're in the story for literally five seconds and maybe 3 side quests. I mean at least you're not chasing a girl who SHOULD be a virgin, who got choked out by the husband she married like a week before you got anywhere near her this time... but god damn Capcom. If you're going to do a romance quest, can you please take it a little more seriously than you did the rest of this game's story. Because it'd be nice to actually have one. There's the fact that if you got some rando catgirl instead of Ulrica, it tells me they DIDN'T fix the borked "Arisen's Bond" LI issue. So that's a pain in the ass to look forward to. With an assholish Day/Night cycle where everything and it's dog rips you a new one every time the glowing yellow orb buggers off - so it's a LITTLE bit better now. Slightly less inclined to die by a monster sneezing at me) He got eaten by wolves... that's on him. Maybe next time try being a werewolf. Or not go where there are wolves. ** Most Cursed Decision in DD2: Removing Assassin, so you can't make the pawns shut the fuck up. Second most cursed decision: Putting Cyclops and Minotaurs anywhere in game before level 50, so you CAN'T ACTUALLY GO ANYWHERE without risking getting your head ripped off. Or reloading a billion times. But hey, at least this time you can buy a house... for $20 k, if you can find the girl that will bugger off for a week and then decide to sell it to you. If you can figure out how to make that much. [I sold monster items, and curative stuff frankly. Mostly the stuff that would rot. Still took a while, and the economy IS borked. Worse than in the first one. You don't want to know how many sour beast steaks I had to sell to get anything good in DD1 - Like half my actual level ups came from butchering bison...] While we're on it: THIRD most cursed Decision = Making Greenswarish NOT heal past the cap on health to get back to maximum. (The camp sites are nowhere near close or plentiful enough to any given quest or city, to justify that bullshit choice)
Great video, I made a few of these moves myself, but there are two on my list that were pretty freaking bad, one was not talking to Brant for her immunity on the Wilhelmina chain, and having her go to Gaol (smh) and two, was the ending of the phantom oxcart in front of the sealed gate as a Sorc with no pawns present, spawned with 8 guard kicking the absolute sh*& out of e and missing the piece of evidence to gather, which eventually I was able to go back, summon a tornado and kill the followers on their knees (and everyone around) and somehow luckily the thing dropped. But damn I been having fun with about 140 hours in and have still have not triggered the final red beacon yet😅😂😜
5 = Bullshit : you can do a quest with a guy named Hugo. He will be your best fairy stone seller ingame in future. DONT DO IT LIKE HIM... Hugo has a 500 amount because the questline on everything. You can also friendship him up to get 500 amount more. so fairy stones for 9k.!
When the plague heppen to me when i 1st played the game i thought my pawn was unleashing some new power thats awakening that i never knew she had 😂. I aint know she was goin through a full Vampric mode and slaughtering everyone. i know better now

I think it's pretty cool how you can complete quests in multiple ways. Buuuuut the issue is that none of it really matters and nor do you care. Let's just say the acting, writing, and lack of animations really... hinders any emotions one could have... The world doesn't react nor comment on what happens EVER. Hell, you can kill bunch of people in the middle of town for no reason and nobody bats an eye. They just find you "bothersome, uuuugh... See my affinity go down!"
But if you help Isaac and give him the correct book you can actually give a job to the thief Hugo. And without doing that he doesn't really have an ending he just kind of lingers around so I think giving Isaac is actually the thing they expect you to do
if you do the side quest of Wilhelmina, Hugo can be come a guard in her establishment. so no giving the book to Issac isn't what the game is expecting you to do.
Wait, I'm in post game, "Readvent of Calamity" mission is uncompleted for me, and Ulrika is missing, but if I didn't evacuated anyone, how is Lennart there and even talking about Ulrika? I just fucking want to see her, since she was kidnaped by the dragon
so with the jadeite orb, you can pick up the beastren dude and take him to his boss and his boss straight up kills him. Dont get the camping kit but its pretty funny. Also I carried ablert to his cat wife after giving his clothes to his noble wife and he ran home with her chasing him the whole way. She stopped outside the door so i carried her inside and then the two wives started slapping each other while albert cowered around the corner. So funny! Also after got sebastion home his mum went upstairs with the maid then sprinted downstairs and slapped me and my main pawn who was a warrior immediately murked her with a charged attack.
Poor Celina... Btw Gregor die for me, cause of WATER and Sebastian even when i give him sword and shield he still need help 😮💨. And i revive Gregor and still doesnt change his women thought bruh
Oh wow! I didn't know he went to jail. I just kinda assumed he closed his shop out of grief. If I ever do that ending again I'll look for him in prison
@BigDanGaming they're talking about getting Hugo out of jail to reopen the closed down shop that Isaac abandons in the bad ending. You can send him to the shop in Battahl, or to work in the Vernworth brothel.

Not every dragon is named gregori it's any failed arisen who failed to beat the sceneshal to replace him. In dragons dogma 1 that was gregori. There was a dragon before that. It was female and it made daemon the final boss of dragons dogma dark arisen. Tho I understand the confusion given its the same voice actor just older but that dragon is not gregori.

Yep, it’s possible to prevent it if you can stagger the dragon as it’s casting the spell, otherwise it’s to the drink with them.

Just a note: the dragon in this game is not Grigori. I believe he's called "Royce" as Phaesus said. We know from Dark Arisen that each dragons are unique, and Ashe's dragon was Grette.

There are only two meanings of the word Royce (Royse) to me, one would mean "rose" or "red" and the other would mean "the son of a king".
Either way, interesting idea, his name could be Royce. Kinda sad that this Dragon never felt the need to introduce himself like Greg did in the first game.

Also, Phaesus proceeded to say "it wasn't enough?" after the real dragon came in and killed the Lesser one. From the sound if his dialogue, it seemed like he THOUGHT he summoned the real dragon when the Lesser Dragon came down.
The scene also mirrors the one wjth Elysion in DD1, where he also called out "Grigori" like how Phaesus called out "Royce". It could have been done intentionally.
Since my Arisen is based on the Dragonlance character Raistlin, I did let Isaac have the right grimoire, since it feels like something Raistlin would do in letting fools trying to dabble in magic let things blow up in their face. And considering some of the atrocities Raistlin would do in some installments of the Dragonlance sagas, I think Isaac got off lucky vaporizing his family.

I have over 100 hours in the game and somehow avoided this Dragonsplague mechanic. At what point in the game will I encounter it?
When you reach the end of the game something happens when you use an "empowered godsbane blade" while climbing next to the final boss's chest. That is all I shall say, I think that's how but regardless you shoupd still do that
it's kinda RNG because odds are you'll learn about ti from interacting with pawns over finding it on your own.
in which case: literally at any point. you'll get a popup tutorial the first time you run into it.
if you somehow avoid that: then i think you can contract it during the end of the game? but not sure

That one with Empress Nadinia didn't trigger this cutscene when I took too long to find the assassin. the prayer service concluded, I was looking DIRECTLY at Nadinia before the screen faded black and ended up in her room with the 2 servants going "how could this happen". TF DO YOU MEAN HOW COULD THIS HAPPEN!??!? WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED!!! LOL
I know DD1 confirmed that DD is multi timeline for each player but all DD1 players with the Dragon are "How many times do we have to teach this lesson, Old man!"

There are actually uses for dragonsplague to use to your advantage. I have had thief pawns just wreck shit even faster than usual that have it. I just dont recommend staying at an inn or your house pre-dragon while you have said pawn in your party.
On Sebastion's Last Trip, I gave him the correct items (2 cure all and 1 cyclops eyeball), he made it back. Then his momma confronted us about them being twins, and then mom went apeshit and started slapping me in front of them and I had to kill her.
i gave him some bs items and rescued him in time his mother was pissed at the maid and that was it idk what was going on and didnt care either xD

Its reveled that in the Sebastian's quest the girl is actually his twin sister, not just a look alike. After he returns home safely, you can find the maid in the slums. Here she tells you as much though some history. Something along the lines of the family believed the girl was cursed so they sent her to the slums and kept the boy. Then you realize the entire time the mom probably knew it was her at the house. Since this is true regardless of ending, this just makes it all the worse for the mom. SHE must know her son died and is now replaced by her abandoned baby to keep up appearances in the nobles quarter. Which is probably why the girl says her name has to be Sebastian now.
9:07 If you do Hugo's quest with the thieves you can get him out of jail and convince him to take over Isaac's shop. He'll sell the Ferrystone plus some different colored thieves masks

depends on the pawns you hire,you got lucky, had to throw mine a few times in the brine. they can get it from other players who hire them too.
PSA: If some escort quest NPC dies to the brine, carry their corpse out of the water before you use your wake stone to revive them. Otherwise they’ll just drown in that shallow water again. Had this happen to the not so bright Elf archer dude and his face stayed all red and slimey from being Brined twice. The mark stays on until he’s despawned.
I've played 60h of DD2, got my ending and never had a single moment of dragons plague. I just had my main pawn talking constantly about it some times and that was all, I was expecting something to happen all the time.

After the Coral Snakes Hugo quest line he (Hugo) can be offered to be the new shopkeeper in Isaacs old shop, comes with a 10% discount because u helped him...

one mention: if u give isaac the fake book you wont be able to recommend the job for hugo when he wants to live an honest life, the only option will be wilhelmina’s brothel
so in a way is better for hugo to work at the shop instead of sending a possibly underaged guy in that kind of work (bad for the wife and daughter of isaac though)
You can employ Hugo to run the shop if the shop if you give Issac the real Transference of Souls 2 however, you will have to do the Coral Snakes quest.
Never let your pawns stand near cliffs with deep water at the bottom for very long. For some reason a rift pawn that I had decided yeet himself right off a cliff and straight into the Brine. . .

I can't believe I missed so much content. I had that book for a long time and had no clue what to do with it. I spent my entire play through traving the map. The end game started and I never even gave phauess(unsure of of spelling) the blade.
The guy who mentioned Ser Gregor should have flagged the quest. I thought this was just a passing note that I couldn't do anything about. Maybe it could be my fault for not looking into it deeper but I feel like that's just unintuitive quest design.
On my first playthrough the guy with the quest walked into Sebastians house and started talking about the watch head and the dullahan. It was right after I completed Sebastians quest so I thought it had something to do with that. I didn't remember the guys name was Sir Gregor. A quest marker would have been nice.

Well, I guess now I know why some NPCs start beating each other when my Arisen walked by. I guess they were in love with him? Strange thing was I didn't remember even interacting with any of these NPCs. I first experienced this in the Vermund bar where the Captain hangs out at night. I went there to turn in a quest and two ladies suddenly started beating the crap out of each other. One was dressed like a tavern wench and the other was a cat lady.
Taverns can have bar fights
I think the tavern brawl is a scripted event, there's often 2 random NPC wailing on each other...

For the Issac one you can still give him the real book. There’s a mission that involves a person named Hugo. Once you complete Hugo guestline you can have him work at Issac store so you’ll be able to buy ferrystones from Batthal

You can not tell Hugo where the coral snakes are, kill their leader and pay to get him out of gaol. Once you get Hugo out you can tell him to take over Isaac's apothecary.
Rodge quest is super easy. Just go the cave where he is without interacting with is gramps and slay the wolves. Very easy to find if you like exploring. Only hard part is all the orgres and griffins along the way when escorting him. They're not part of his quest is just I always seem to run into annoying boss monsters on that damn road to checkpoint town.
Another way to "cure" the dragons plague from your pawn that works for me is to rest at a campsite. The plague gets transferred to another pawn in your party and you can simply dismiss them. You can tell who has it based on the glowing red eyes.
Honestly another good one is assassinating the Regent Disa during the unmoored lands section. It causes Sven to be upset yet agree to join the evacuation.
I just stood frozen yesterday because I messed up with hugo’s quest.. if you are late on that quest when hugo is in prison.. he kills one of the prisoners and runs out to face the bandit leader and ends up dead.. i was on my way to him when a guard informed me they found him dead with the bandits leader both dealing a killing blow to the other.. i was so devastated 😩😩
If you procees Hugos Quest, you can tell him to own the Store in Bakbatal
If you give Isaac the Grimoire then he'll have openings for new employees and you can get Hugo to work there, which is less of a hassle then doing Wilhelmina's romance quest line.
Notably in ng+ when you have both combined parts of the book for Isaac's quest you can give him a full copy, the one that normally casts celestial paean. Still turns the family into sand though.
He probably reads something wrong since he only has one eye, messing up the spell.
For Gregor's quest you can still get the good ending if he dies, i picked up his body and ran back to Verworth with it and bought him back to life when i entered the city.
Hugo replaces Isaac if you complete the formers quest... just thought that was worth a mention.
With Isaac moarning, you can do the Bandit quest with Hugo and make him work for Isaac, he becomes the vendor
Dragons Plauge happened to me when I rested at the Inn in Volcanic Island Camp 🥴 they slaughter everyone! I had enough wake stones to revive all the store owners and few soldiers smh
got the bad decision with the beggar in vernworth xD didnt even understood the quest and was too lazy to wait for him so i found some clothes super randomly which activated the next step for the quest so i was like oh well cool then forgot about the quest again.. some days later i was in the slums and his wife just talked to me so i was like ooh i can give the ragged clothes to her and yep.. bad decision by ignoring and not caring about that quest xD
You CAN give Everard the fake Jadeite orb, you just need to have enough gold to bribe the guy who makes the forgery so that he won't tell Everard. Considering Everard is an obvious asshole, I preferred giving him the fake and the real one to the other guy.
You can convince the thief in the prison to go work at Isaacs shop so you don’t lose the vender

After I finished the House of the blue Sunbright, the mom they were deceiving with Daphne actually came downstairs. She asked the maid what the girl was doing there and what the maid had told the girl. When the maid assured her it was just about her generosity to the orphanage, the mother says she’s going to talk to the maid in private later.
This little exchange makes me think that Daphne is actually Sebastian’s twin that they gave up to the orphanage and the maid knows about it and said nothing. Which is just so messed up to think about. Especially because Daphne wants to meet her parents. Poor kid.
That's exactly what it is. Go back to the slums and you'll find the maid.

You can pay the forger to confirm the fake Jadeite Orb is real, so you can give the beastren the real one, it’s not cheap tho, 12,000 on top of the 7,500 you paid for the orb and the 2,000 to make the forgery!

I had a pawn helping me with rodge quest but got tossed off of a cliff by a wight tornado spell so i failed it. I also decided to toss the jerk harrassing Ulrika off a cliff so shes just in another town so that quest also failed.

I’m confused cause my story is locked at trying to get this fool a job after i had to break him out of jail. Everytime i try to offer him a job, it says “never mind” I have no other quests on my board? I thought for sure it’l be in here.. welp the mystery continues. Idk what went so wrong but i’m not restarting. Theres an Npc somewhere that can fix this i know it thee.
Update!! For anybody who is stuck on finding Hugo a Job. This video came at the perfect time let me tell ya. The answer was here! Thanks Dan, But it entails setting up Isaac i’m afraid. Letting him destroy his family, once you do that. Instead of the shop being empty the rest of the game, your prompted to offer Hugo, Isaacs Job 😂 unreal how deep this game is..

No! Giving Isaac the grimiore does not keep an apethecary from the capital of Bakbattahl. You can have the coral snake kid, Hugo, take his place.
If you help the kid from the snakes 🐍 quest they become the Vendor in Battahl I missed some of these quests and got so many bad endings holy sht lol
The Roge quest was bugged for me, I had to find the cave without markers... The NPC that was supposed to tell me wouldn't... So I sent him to the deep

I actually have two problems with the Whilemina character; first - she's half beastren but you guys automatically make her a madame at a brothel (Many Connotations - not cool devs) second; she really ONLY has that weird eye to mark she's even part beastren in the first place. You'd think that if a beastren and a human could have a child there'd be more variation. More visibly distinct cat features. Even if the human would meld as well to be less cat-like overall. Hell you could explain THAT being the reason that this game has "elves." But nope.
I also think they could've bothered since there are only 2 LI's to make BOTH of them equally attractive. Ulrika's got the girl next door sweetheart thing going for her, but damn is she kinda the plain jane between the two. [I also don't know why "Whilly do it's" the only one to get the Fallout Black Screen connotation as a cap off] It would be nice to actually have the thing play out to a marriage and kids. At least that way you get a continuance of the line and it'd seem like they're actually taking the romance aspect seriously. Ooo, if you put two maxed LI's together they fist fight. The best you've got is your BFF and a former whore... but hey; it's "romance." Nevermind they're in the story for literally five seconds and maybe 3 side quests. I mean at least you're not chasing a girl who SHOULD be a virgin, who got choked out by the husband she married like a week before you got anywhere near her this time... but god damn Capcom. If you're going to do a romance quest, can you please take it a little more seriously than you did the rest of this game's story. Because it'd be nice to actually have one.

The random shop keeper I didn't even interact with says Hey, you... low level moron who had to get an ox cart and pray to god not to be attacked by insanely large assholes; who SHOULD NOT EXIST IN GAME UNTIL LEVEL 50, go rescue my dumbassed nephew and become a pack of wolves' chew toy instead. Sound good? Fuck. All. Of that. (level 17 now as a Warrior - and JESUS CHRIST would it KILL you assholes to NOT put the side quests in the MIDDLE OF FREAKING NOWHERE??? With an assholish Day/Night cycle where everything and it's dog rips you a new one every time the glowing yellow orb buggers off - so it's a LITTLE bit better now. Slightly less inclined to die by a monster sneezing at me) He got eaten by wolves... that's on him. Maybe next time try being a werewolf. Or not go where there are wolves.
** Most Cursed Decision in DD2: Removing Assassin, so you can't make the pawns shut the fuck up.
Second most cursed decision: Putting Cyclops and Minotaurs anywhere in game before level 50, so you CAN'T ACTUALLY GO ANYWHERE without risking getting your head ripped off. Or reloading a billion times. But hey, at least this time you can buy a house... for $20 k, if you can find the girl that will bugger off for a week and then decide to sell it to you. If you can figure out how to make that much. [I sold monster items, and curative stuff frankly. Mostly the stuff that would rot. Still took a while, and the economy IS borked. Worse than in the first one. You don't want to know how many sour beast steaks I had to sell to get anything good in DD1 - Like half my actual level ups came from butchering bison...] While we're on it: THIRD most cursed Decision = Making Greenswarish NOT heal past the cap on health to get back to maximum. (The camp sites are nowhere near close or plentiful enough to any given quest or city, to justify that bullshit choice)
Great video, I made a few of these moves myself, but there are two on my list that were pretty freaking bad, one was not talking to Brant for her immunity on the Wilhelmina chain, and having her go to Gaol (smh) and two, was the ending of the phantom oxcart in front of the sealed gate as a Sorc with no pawns present, spawned with 8 guard kicking the absolute sh*& out of e and missing the piece of evidence to gather, which eventually I was able to go back, summon a tornado and kill the followers on their knees (and everyone around) and somehow luckily the thing dropped. But damn I been having fun with about 140 hours in and have still have not triggered the final red beacon yet😅😂😜
5 = Bullshit : you can do a quest with a guy named Hugo. He will be your best fairy stone seller ingame in future. DONT DO IT LIKE HIM... Hugo has a 500 amount because the questline on everything. You can also friendship him up to get 500 amount more. so fairy stones for 9k.!
I did the scale quest before I even started the ulrikas quest, so they got vanish anyways
When the plague heppen to me when i 1st played the game i thought my pawn was unleashing some new power thats awakening that i never knew she had 😂. I aint know she was goin through a full Vampric mode and slaughtering everyone. i know better now

Unlikely, at least that wasn't the case on my play through. I chucked him off a cliff into the water after he left her house and everything else still ended up happening regardless 😅😹
I think it's pretty cool how you can complete quests in multiple ways.
Buuuuut the issue is that none of it really matters and nor do you care. Let's just say the acting, writing, and lack of animations really... hinders any emotions one could have... The world doesn't react nor comment on what happens EVER. Hell, you can kill bunch of people in the middle of town for no reason and nobody bats an eye. They just find you "bothersome, uuuugh... See my affinity go down!"

But if you help Isaac and give him the correct book you can actually give a job to the thief Hugo. And without doing that he doesn't really have an ending he just kind of lingers around so I think giving Isaac is actually the thing they expect you to do
if you do the side quest of Wilhelmina, Hugo can be come a guard in her establishment. so no giving the book to Issac isn't what the game is expecting you to do.

so with the jadeite orb, you can pick up the beastren dude and take him to his boss and his boss straight up kills him. Dont get the camping kit but its pretty funny. Also I carried ablert to his cat wife after giving his clothes to his noble wife and he ran home with her chasing him the whole way. She stopped outside the door so i carried her inside and then the two wives started slapping each other while albert cowered around the corner. So funny!
Also after got sebastion home his mum went upstairs with the maid then sprinted downstairs and slapped me and my main pawn who was a warrior immediately murked her with a charged attack.

@BigDanGaming they're talking about getting Hugo out of jail to reopen the closed down shop that Isaac abandons in the bad ending. You can send him to the shop in Battahl, or to work in the Vernworth brothel.

Not every dragon is named gregori it's any failed arisen who failed to beat the sceneshal to replace him. In dragons dogma 1 that was gregori. There was a dragon before that. It was female and it made daemon the final boss of dragons dogma dark arisen. Tho I understand the confusion given its the same voice actor just older but that dragon is not gregori.
