Hey, everyone who's struggling with this experience I wrote a poem about it and maybe that will help you: New doors And just by looking at her eyes you could see how much she was scared Everyone seemed to be so prepared for that day She was getting anxious but loneliness was her best company New doors were opening for her and she was scared All these years pretending to be the perfect student were nothing for her She had no more tears as a result of her essence being sacrificed Growing up thinking academic validation was her life But why did she doubt a lot of herself? Her folks always had been there for her They said she was brilliant She thought there were more clever people than her They said she was an outstanding student She thought, she was another student The answer was that the insecurities were eating her alive Why on this damn day? One of the most important days in her entire life The day she wanted to prove to everyone she was much more than just appearances The day everyone will start seeing her as a lady and not a kid The exam of heaven and hell New doors tormented her New challenges were coming A phase we're all scared Her overthinking did not help in anything She just hoped her value was far more than a number in a paper
