Thanks. Putting it on the S makes a big difference. I just installed mine and I had it in the dead center....then I thought in forward mode it looked off center. Thanks for the great video!

Great Video, I had my shaft mount installed in the center of the S & P.. instead of it positioned to the center of the S, for starboard side.. Hopefully now my screen shots will be a lot better... Thanks Again for a great video..Explained it perfectly !!! Have a Great Fishing season.. Tommy

Thanks, just use Electrical tape to lock the cable to the trolling motor. Don’t use zip ties. That is what I learn after making this video.
Great video I just installed mine yesterday but one thing I would like to share is on the shaft garmin recommends using tape to secure the transducer cable to the trolling motor shaft not zip ties. They say zip ties can damage the cable over time and mess up the livescope. Keep up the great content 👍

Yes tape you do not want too ruin that 21 pin thin wire it's very fragile

Thanks, just use electric tape instead of zip ties to hold the cables to your trolling motor. That the only thing I changed on mine.

Thanks just use some electrical tape instead of zip ties to hold the cables to the trolling motor. I changed that later on my boat.
Do not use zip ties ! The cable may be damaged! Use electrical tape ! Thanks for the video !

My centerline is perpendicular to the trolling motor versus parallel. But i was following the line indention.

it is my understanding that Garmin does not recommend zip ties on the Live scope transducer cable, you are suppose to use Electrical tape to prevent breaking the wires. Other than that this is a great video.

DO NOT USE KNIFE, DO NOT USE ZIP TIES!! CAN DAMAGE CABLE!! Per Garmin factory instructions.
Thanks! Anyone else have an issue w the center stainless screw backing off and needing continuously retightened after every trip because the rubber washer acts as a friction wrench? If you over tighten to counter this, then you will shorten the life of the plastic notches id think. Anyone?

Looks like to me the transducer is backwards. The wire should be on the backside, or it is on mine.
The cable is coming out the back. The back is on the same side as the prop. The front it of the transducer is one the side of the front of the trolling motor. Just look at it again.
So have u not ever had any trouble zip tying ur wires?? My buddy had a come apart on me says Garmin won't warranty it if u use zip ties supposed to use tape 🤷
I did change it to tape. Shortly after making the video. Everyone let me know.

I hate the mount. If you fish in or around grass or logs. It will get pushed out of position easily and you have to reposition it. I don’t like the perspective mode. It’s not clear enough to understand what you are looking at. It’s no where clear as 360. I think I’m going back to the regular mount or mounting to the side of the trolling motor.

Question I heard you are not to use zip ties did you have any problems?
No, I did not use the zip ties after everyone start tell me not to use them. So, I put electrical tape on my cables after this video was made.
What do you think of perspective mode?
I try it a few time when I first installed mine but it was just not clear and hard to see anything. I just stop trying to use it. They have had about 3 updates sense then but I have not try it in 8 months. But for $99 it’s Worth getting just to have. I’m sure they will figure it out sometime.
Question, how high from the trolling motor head did you install?
I have mine about 11” from the motor but I’m going to move it to just about 5” above the trolling motor. Because if I’m fishing shadow and my trolling motor is up high. The transducer is close to coming out the water. I even thought about mounting it on the side of the trolling motor. I look at the pro’s and they have their’s close to the trolling motor.
