- Abutting yard walls are a common cause of rainwater penetration which is often mistaken for rising damp. The walls become saturated during periods of prolonged rainfall. The water then migrates through the building's solid elevations, resulting in a district moisture profile on the internal wall surfaces.
I wish other surveyors would look beyond the beeping of their meter, like you. Good detective work.
