Just called Shark and it turns out that to get the replacement battery, you have to call them and order it that way. Not listed under replacement parts for this vacuum. The part number to order is XBATR725SL The cost is $80.
Hi. We’re so sorry to hear about your experience. We will definitely gather this feedback and send it off to our team for them to look into. If you would like us to look into anything for you, please send us a private message on one of her social media platforms, such as Instagram, Facebook or Twitter.
Yup same with the Shark Vertex Pro cordless which is very good but problem is Shark makes way too many different vacuums and it took 2 years for this type of battery to be sold from their website. It’s about the same price. Now it’s available because they had a battery shortage and didn’t let you know that. Both the Vertex Pro and Stratos rivals and does beat the latest over priced Dyson V14 and V15 models. What Shark should do if they can’t make the battery last longer than 60 minutes is to make it both cordless and chorded so that way, the battery can be charged when it’s empty while still vacuuming. This will solve the problem of battery runtime. Shark of course wants you to pay the replacement filters and the battery so they will over price their add ons.
Shark was on back ordered and had major shortage on all of their batteries for the new vacuums and thats the same problem I had with the Vertex Pro. I had it for 2 years now and they finally had it. I called their customer service outsourced which I hated speaking to them and they would tell me the same thing they don’t have it. I finally saw it available this year and it’s freaking over priced. $80 for only 60 minutes of runtime. So you’re basically paying more for getting 120 minutes for runtime total. Shark should stop selling corded Vertex Pro and Stratos. What they should sell is all in 1 both corded and cordless. That will help dominate the market but they don’t want to of course. They want to make a lot of money. Either sell us a battery replacement for cheaper price at least $30 or make a vacuum that is both corded and cordless so it can charge the battery and allow you to continue finishing up vacuuming and charge battery at same time.
That’s the problem with both the Shark Vertex Pro which I own and the Stratos. It doesn’t fit on the vacuum. That’s a poorly design that Shark did. They’re doing it on purpose to sacrifice the weight of the vacuum to make it lighter.
One thing I am finding very annoying is that this vacuum will not stand upright without tipping over? It seems you have to fold it down every time you need to simply walk away for a moment?
Hi @SharkHome - I'm considering this vacuum. Can you tell me if the roller bar can be attached directly to the powered component without the flex wand? For stair cleaning it would be ideal to not use the wand. Thanks!
Thank you for your interest in our Shark Cordless Stratos, Mike! We are happy to confirm that you can insert the motorized floor nozzle into the main unit to us as a hand vacuum.
So if my bedroom is carpetted and has lots of hair that I dont want to tangle on the brush roll, it will have to be 90 degrees so only suction works and brushroll not rolling?
Thank you for your question, Claire! When using the Shark Stratos Cordless Vacuum, vacuum using the carpet setting. Due to a large amount of hair on your carpet, if hair does wrap, place your vacuum on a bare scratch resistant floor and using it in a back and forth motion on the carpet setting to remove it.
Thanks for reaching out! Turn the floor nozzle over and use a coin to turn the locks on the bottom cover counterclockwise. Lift off the cover to access the brushroll. Clear away any string, hair, or debris wrapped around the brushroll and in the nozzle openings. To clean filters, rinse them with water only. Allow all filters to air-dry completely for up to 48 hours before reinstalling to prevent liquid from being drawn into electric parts. Clean the pre-motor filters at least once a month and post-motor filter at least once a year. Tap off loose dirt between washes when needed. More frequent cleaning may sometimes be necessary with heavy use.
The soft roller is removable, the finn roller isn't We'd recommend using something small and thin enough that can fit behind the roller to remove the debris.
Yikes, we didn't charge the battery before first use, hope it didn't mess with their capacity. Would be great to know what some of the cleaning heads are for! 😃
Hi there, that's no problem at all, we recommend however charging to the full capacity and using the vacuum right down as this will condition the battery. To get more info on the cleaning heads please see the owner's manual below spr.ly/6056QymKE
We're sorry to hear your difficulty locating the serial number, Lesley! For the Shark Cordless Stratos Stick Vacuum, please remove the dust cup and look on the hand held where the dust cup removed from.

Does the regular roller detach to clean underneath it? Love this vacuum so much! Loved partnering with Shark as well. One of my favorites collaborations and by far the BEST vacuum I have ever used. *chefs kiss* 🤌🏾
Hey there, thanks for getting in touch! You can detach the Soft Roller, and remove the cover underneath to clean the main Roller. Regarding a collaboration, we invite you to send us a private message via Twitter or Facebook, and we'll be happy to help.
The cordless Shark Vertex Pro and the Stratos does beat the Dyson V14 and V15 models in terms of price and quality. However, the battery 🔋 runtime is only 60 minutes on low. If you put on high it lasts 10-20 minutes and medium 20-30 minutes. That’s the problem all these cordless vacuums have. The replacement battery is also expensive and only sold on their website for $80! Ridiculous. What Shark should do is sell an all in 1 both cordless and corded so when your battery runs low you can still continue to vacuum and charge the battery without having to wait for another charge but of course Shark knows this but want you to spend more money for another battery and they want to sell corded Stratos version.
just git mine put together and its dead. The battery is showing that it is charging with a blinking light bur I thiught it was supposed to be charged to 30%

I hade the shark duo cordless for several years, it was easy to go for long period of time, due to battery dock station that it had, with few batteries i just swapped with another in the dock, easy and organized, the batteries from this more expensive model lacks this dock feature. also I was hoping that they will do some more better engineering for this high price, that it should be able to set the vacuum straight up while having to go do anything else, like moving something out of the way or go pickup a phone call and answering the ring by the door, not have to fold it or find a right spot to lean it and should not role and fall. and it is much more noisier than my old duo.
Great question, Regina! The Shark Cordless Stratos is equipped with a self-cleaning brushroll. For more information on cleaning the brushrolls, please go to spr.ly/60513yYuD, and then go to the "How do I access and clean the DuoClean® PowerFins™ brushroll and Soft Roller?" FAQ.
I just received my expensive cordless Stratos. Somewhat disappointed. The head that cleans the floor I feel is too small. The storage container is somewhat too heavy for me. Now I'm reading comments below about the batteries. Not happy about that either. This customer IS NOT 100% satisfied with her expensive purchase. My last several vacuums I've bought from Shark I've been happy with. Going to send this one back.
Thanks for the feedback, we always want to be learning from our customers and making sure we design products you’ll love. We’ll let our product development team know, so they can consider it for future products.
I also find it a bit heavy and clunky compared to multiple other cordless models I’ve bought. However, for me I prefer that because it feels solid and well made. Other ones I’ve tried, like the belife b11, are floppy and the floor head drags on carpet and feels cheap and doesn’t track straight, and is even skinnier than this one. This is the most expensive model I’ve tried, but so far I’m pretty happy, just bought it today.

When can we buy an extra battery?

Is the Clean Indicator meant to light up? The Clean Sense bar does on mine (white) but the clean indicator doesnt.
Do you sell replacement batteries for this model yet? I wanted to purchase an extra battery to have to increase total run time
Hello Jmc3589. The replacement batteries for the cordless stratos are currently not available.
Shark said they are available now.

How do we store the accessories for this vacuum? It doesn’t come with a stand or mount and there’s no apparent place to store the accessories.

Yeah I know forget the vacuum.

Fold it. Everytime
Same with most cordless, Dyson the same
