    Shocking review. If you're going to compare, have them do the same tasks.

    I just got the v15. I wouldn't pay the £699 price tag. I found it on dysons ebay outlet page. Its refurbished but looked brand new when I received it from dyson. Well worth the 316 I paid.

    A lot of complainers here, but he covered practical things like noise, weight, charge time, form factor, storage convenience. The only thing I didn't see were attachments.
    If he put 200 cherrios on the ground -- 100 on each side -- I can tell you the Dyson would pick up 98 and the Shark would get about 95. Whether that's worth twice the cost is up to you.

      Same - I loved this dual purpose design and definitely recommend Shark over Dyson products ALL DAY EVERY DAY, because they just work better and last longer. What can you do?! 🤷🏻‍♂️ It’s either get an inferior vacuum that will break in 2 years or less, or have a TANK of a vacuum that lasts until the 2040s. I’ll take the longevity please! 😊❤

    Im going to throw in my 2 sense, have both units at home now, doing my own test and yes its a struggle, but I love the fluffy roller for my now new lvp and it sees/shows the dirt but doesn't work well on thicker carpet with the other head ( i dont like changing tools often since we only have 20 minute clean time) I have shark duo clean corded and have had it since came out and it has every tool imaginable like the dyson but, rarely use them . The shark gets corners clean easily and doesn't choke on the carpet and have to be reset! One has to go back and Im leaning to the shark because It doesn't have to be mounted, and the 2 tools it comes with work well for vacuuming behind toilets but it is 2 lbs heavier than the dyson the dyson went back

    The Air Watts ratings you give at the beginning is for Boost mode on the Dyson and I suspect Shark as well, so that means that it’s not as powerful as claimed when used in the home to vacuum on the recommended Auto/Boost mode. Not sure how these companies can get away with claiming air watts in boost or max when they then recommend in the manual and website under battery care not to use Boost mode often!!

    • @TheFrenchGlow
      @TheFrenchGlow  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      hi! I speak about this whenever I review a Dyson. Air watts is like max Horsepower on a car. Your car can have 1000 max horsepower but it won't last very long if you are redlining to use it. Dyson really does have great low end suction while the shark has to be on a higher setting to recreate similar results. However, the tradeoff is the Shark has dual brushrolls and easier to store.

    I am currently deciding between these 2. Shark is half the price of the dyson at my local store. dyson was only released recently and shark looks to be 2 years old technology. with the dyson, which I specifically wanted to buy, the sales guy spilt the canister contents on the floor to show me how easy it is to empty. He then vacuumed up the dusty mess on the floor. i have to say I wasn't that impressed. he had to go over it many times. it was a carpet surface and he may have had the hard floor surface tool ... but still this was really just stuff sitting on the surface. so i felt I was back to square 1. I then found the shark and really like that it stands up by itself and can bend to half the size and is half price but no idea if it would have picked up the dusty mess any better than the dyson.

    I loved the Dyson’s soft brush performance, BUT ASIDE from that… no way would I choose it over the Shark. Sorry, but Shark has made its home in our home, & it’s here to stay. Period. I love the performance we get, & the filters are a FRACTION of the cost for replacements from Dyson. Generic “Dyson” replacements are garbage in my opinion, whereas on the Shark, some companies make BETTER quality filters than Shark itself, so we buy those and the performance is even BETTER for 1/4 the cost of a Dyson. Literally. I’m never going to not recommend Shark, because they just…work so well. Dyson has made some AWFUL 😣 products over the years…like the Dyson Sphere line, ahem, which wouldn’t fit under anything at all unless it was taller than a Basketball 🏀… 😑 😣 it was painful to use that thing… & the attachments broke or fell apart so easily. Didn’t even last 2 years. I’ve had my first Shark vacuum now for almost 4 1/2 years and it works like the day it was purchased. ❤

      Shark get rated as unreliable, but I bought 1 motor & 3 uncleaned motorised head units off Ebay, all 3 were used for cleaning concrete, brick dust/chippings, etc. I cleaned the heads/bin & filters & they ALL work fine. There's sadly no help for 1d10ts using a lightweight battery upright to do the job of an industrial/workshop vacuum with motors 6 times the size of a battery upright! I got the Dyson and at first it was heaven to have no cord, but after about a year (just after the warranty expired) the battery crapped out and after trying to trouble shoot it over the phone, they told me I'd have to have a new head (motor). This would've cost lots of $$$ and I had just paid over $400 for the darn thing. So I gave up and went to a shark. I will never purchase any Dyson product again ever!

    It’d be great if you could adjust your audio when editing your videos because I can’t understand what you’re saying. I’m on a really nice full range home theater sound and because you don’t do it any EQ to pull out the low frequencies my subwoofer is shaking and it’s just tons of base making you sound like.Woo woooo wooo wooo wooo woo woooo. It’s like listening to a conversation through a wall.
    When your dialogue track you need to cut off all frequencies below 200 Hz
    That’s the problem when people edit on laptops or cheap computer speakers because you don’t hear all the low frequency you think everything sounds great.

    On the carpet you’ve compared them using the wrong Dyson attachment and then said Dyson doesn’t work as well - yes because you’re using the wrong attachment ! You’ve also not mentioned Dyson’s flexibility in moving around the floor due to the mini ball joint …which facilitates ergonomic and very efficient manoeuvring. The Dyson also charges much more quickly than the FOUR hours for the Shark you mentioned …. I see you having to lift the Shark up to move it around the carpet - probs because of the dual head, whereas the Dyson moves effortlessly around both hard and soft surfaces. Glad I bought my Dyson.

  • @blakaeg
    @blakaeg 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The Dyson has a lot of advanced technology inside it. It has a piezo sensor that listens to the dirt going in it and then displays the particle size on the screen and automatically adjusts its power setting depending on the amount of dust sucked up, This is pretty clever and that green laser highlights the invisible dust that we can’t normally see. This review failed to highlight those clever functions of the V15.
