My introduction to Warhammer was via Shadow of the Horned Rat on my Playstation. It was ugly, clunky, and hard as balls, but by Sigmar I loved that game. Dark Omen, Mark of Chaos, and especially Total War have all improved on that formula in such a beautiful way (and ofc Vermintide for when I get the urge to murder some rats).

I somehow expected Mark of Chaos to be ranked higher, to be honest. I had a blast playing through it multiple times. The Campaign was awesome. The handover between the factions you play as part of the story feels really organic and when you're done saving the world, your start anew with the other side and plunge the world into ruin, before starting again again on higher difficulty to save it yet again :D
To this day I still like my Blood Bowl Legendary Edition (even if it lacks a lot of personalization and some features are worthless). To a single player dude like me, sounds a lot better than BB3
Hate to be 'THAT' guy, but Dark Omen on ps1 was playable with the psMouse (along with xcom, Alen Trilogy, Dune, and Music 2000). Made all the difference, and still worth a look now. Luv'in' your work, folks
The Wood Elves do not kidnap children. They do however do that thing where if you set one foot on a blade grass they consider a part of their forest and you'e not a part of said forest, where they pepper every single inch of the front of your body with arrows out of the orest.
Warhammer Dark Omen played quite well on the PS1, one of my 3rd Strategy games I played on console besides Command & Conquer 1 and Red Alert 1. Nothing beats keyboard and mouse but the way they mapped out the button presses for Dark Omen on PS1 was pretty impressive.
Still hoping for a ranking of every Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game eventually. I feel like that would be fun. I’m glad to see another Warhammer ranking after the 40K video. Interested to see the range in genres here.
I'm so happy with Warhammer the Old World. I feel that good olf GW saw the sucess of vermintide and Total War: Warhammer and figured it best to just bring back the good old game that started it all.
I'm sorry...Michael Moorcock? I'm stuck on something I heard less than a minute into the video. I had to Google him, but not on my work computer because I didn't know how to spell it. Hasn't he ever heard of a nom de plume?
I literally just watched the 40k video from 6 months ago and here this shows up. I remember watching my brother and his friend play Mark of Chaos as a kid. I never remembered the name until I saw it on this video so thank you. Also I will say, it would be very helpful to have video timestamps
Did you know that the game for spectrum called Chaos was a gamesworkshop game? Wizards fight each other with spells and the creature summons are either real or illusion. Was great for its time. Not sure though if was just a gw product so unrelated to warhammer.
ive played a ton of bb3, and have gone back to bb2. way more solo options, a huge selection of teams/races , and i got it on pc recently for like £2.50 with all dlc, bb3 cost me about £30 and even after all this time there are only a few more teams and i dont want to pay 750 vbucks or whatever for one team
I really loved Chaosbane, both vermintides, mordheim so so much and slightly less loved realms of ruin ( we need a slaves to darkness and nurgle army to play as and I’d be so happy) and storm ground was ok as it was my first true aos game I ever played
Guys, these people don't actually play the games before ranking them. It's all based on some general consensus, review scores and popularity. They even admit to having a writer who cares about Warhammer who did the work on this project. So the guys reading the lines are just mouth pieces who have no opinion on the games they're talking about. I'll probably not watch any more of these ranked videos since I'm not interested in wiki reads with excerpts from other people's reviews in a video that should be all about personal experience. Would be better if they just dropped the whole ranking premise and did a general "Every Warhammer game overview" instead. At least that's more honest. Maybe a lot of you already knew this and don't care, but the realization was very disappointing to me and I wanted to give a heads up.
Do we count the five bazillion versions of Street Fighter II? Since, if not it will be a very short list with only 6 main line entries....and if....it will be hell of a boring list with 500 times SF II on it.
Blood bowl is not like amrican football at all. Other thsn pads, tachles and a oval ball. Its much more like rugby in my opinion. Expecially since bloow bowl calls it a pitch not s field and the amount of player is less also

Yes, for example they recognise the objective fact that Orcs are the best faction.
OMG! There it is! When they did the list of every Warhammer 40K game ranked I wished for them to do this. I'm so happy now!
The fact that the chat log in showing off Chaos and Conquest wasn't blurred out so I just see "Ur pp smol" "No u" was absolutely hilarious

Best fantasy RTS ever made.

I appreciated the references to WHFB lore. My only gripe is, Mordheim is a better game than the score assigned would make one expect

Is this a re-upload? I feel like I watched this video already sometime in the last year or so.
I did too until i realized the last video was about Warhammer 40k and not normal Warhammer.
I'm 75% sure some of that footage of the MMO was actually World of Warcraft. They slipped it in to see if anybody could tell the difference.
No, they didn't. Take it from someone who played WAR back in the day.
"Continued its lore..."
In the same way that Disney is "continuing the loe" of Star Wars I assume.
I still can hear the hero quest for the spectrum in my head. was great music.

Yes there was. Soon after launch Sony released the dual shock.

They should have called it simply ‘Total Warhammer’ as it not only flows better, it also doesn’t sound like you have a stutter saying it
Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning was awesome. Very disappointing it was shut down...
Return of Reckoning has been out since 2014. You haven't played on that player run server?
I am pretty sure you forgot "Warhammer 40.000: Regicide" and "Warhammer 40.000: Rogue Trader"
This isn’t a Warhammer 40k list so no, they didn’t.
Every Elderscrolls game ranked?
I played Shadow of the Horned Rat on the PS1, I thought the controls were poor.
Ayyy Shadow of the horned rat was my first Warhammer game 🎉. It was so much fun, but so goddamn hard
Am I crazy or do I hear Josh Strife Hays' voice?
Carnival of chaos? Man that sounds like a Heavy Metal band!
it's also a thing in warhammer itself
fantasy > 40k in all aspects and media representation, shame on who ever is in charge of GW
Huh. Didn't know Battle for Atluma had been a thing.

I see anything Warhammer related, I'll like it!
Y’all should do every X-men game or Power Rangers game.
They called warpstone weirdstone
Because at the point in time Mordheim was set, that was what the citizens of the Empire called warpstone.
Blood Bowl 3 is worst than 2 and 1 it is crap and Blood bowl legendary edition is best you have every team with out paying for every shit. And it is a tabletop game made PC game 1too1 great.
