When Prince performed his music live on stage, I remember that it was almost as if you were watching his soul liquefying onto the strings of his guitar. He became one with his instrument...just let it all out and it was raw, powerful, and heartfelt. There was nothing mechanical about his playing. His voice and his fingers knew how to connect with us, and he took us on an amazing journey of sound. I have seen many great concert performances. But Prince was a musician like none other and his shows were unforgettable. To this day, I am still devastated that he is no longer with us. But he blessed us with so much great music, and for that, we should all be grateful that he left it behind for us to enjoy.

Prince has been my good friend for a very long time, whenever I felt happy I played his music, whenever I felt bad I put in a CD, even when i needed to stay awake while driving I would turn him up. My friend saw me through so many times , he was always there. When he died it was snowing in April, i was in a empty room. Then i was reminded of all those times he had been there, telling me to not let the elevator go down. I smiled, and turned him up. He was still there. My friend.
