Even though the times are near identical, the power delivery is so completely different. I thought my clubbie was the fastest thing on the road until the missus decided to go and by an F6. Now, having the ability to drive them back to back as often as I please, I will try my hardest to explain the difference in acceleration. The HSV feels brutish and muscular off the line and gets moving relatively quickly for a fat c*nt. It's power is really nice and linear and nothing beats the aural sensation of a big block V8! Now while the F6 has all the power of the chev, it deploys it's whole load in about 3 secs rather than 5. So the HSV gets to 100 in 5 secs, the F6 does it in 3. I know that be difficult to understand, but imagine two people running the hundred metre sprint. The muscular dude powers off the line and gains the lead for about 50 metres, but then hits his top speed, only for the thinner, taller athlete to finally hit his stride. Result... Overtaken not by much, but overtaken nonetheless!
The last of the most Australian built car award goes to the Falcon hands down.
