To be fair regarding the fury line I would have also done the same and used the not dead after all because they’re a mono red deck with bolt presumably so the 4/4 double striker play was just fine with out perfect information.

The fact that cycle is called the evoke elementals and not the evoke incarnations bugs me more than it really should

I get that, but maybe console yourself with the fact they are the only ones that don't interface with the graveyard, at least as they are written. That's why they don't really make sense as part of the creature type to me.

@@AnonYmous-et4mz They're incarnations because they're the embodiment of a concept. And I guess they interface with the graveyard in that they really like going there when entering the battlefield. Also, there's Idris, soul of the TARDIS.
