I don't think I need to mention this also but this conversation gets me right here. Right in the heart. So emotional. It rivals that of Chrom's reunion with Lucina. and proves to you that Severa is not an absolute ass like everyone thinks she is. Because she's really sweet on the inside.

He's actually a really caring family person as revealed in his support conversations with his father. He was my son on my 3RD file so I kinda have a bias towards him because he kicked so much ass. But still. I think people hate him too much.
Severa is just adorable in my opinion I couldn't hate her if I tried, And inigo, once you understand deep down he's super shy you start understanding why he acts the way he does. They are both characters that one can relate to deep down.
I dunno why the Lon'qu and Cordelia pairing is not that popular. It gives Severa some really good skill and speed modifiers. Making her a ferocious Swordmaster or Assassin. In my opinion. Lon'qu is her best father. And that doesn't include the male avatar because he's mostly the best father for any child. Mostly. Obviously unless his stat mods are the opposite of the mother. But even then still. Giving them access to all non gender locked classes AND the tactician class is a pretty powerful thing.

Colm O'Hagan I know, right? People seem to mostly go for Gregor when it comes to Severa. Have you considered how unstoppable she would be as a Swordmaster? Give her Armsthrift so she doesn't break her weapons. THEN give her Amatsu, Sol Katti, Armorslayer and Brave Sword (You could give her a superior edge as well if you want to. But I'd rather give her an Elixir for her last item slot) But the point is that if she gets an Astra with Sol Katti then she is guaranteed to kill any enemy in the game. Even Pavise+ Generals. When it comes to her partner I always paired her up with a Wyvern Lord Gerome. Because that's very practical as they fix their flaws by their pairing boosts. Gerome will boost up Severa's mediocre Strength and Defense. While Severa will boost up his mediocre Speed and Skill. That's one heck of a team right there. Severa does the Galeforce boosts for Gerome and he will boost up her movement. Could have them solo any level. Strength and Speed all at once. It kinda reminded me how on my first file I had Lon'qu pair up with Vaike. That's also a pairing with two characters that will boost up their flaws. So you see. You don't just make pairings because you feel that these two characters are made for each other. You also do it for practical reasons. Thus comes the Lon'qu x Cordelia pairing. These two like I said. Make for a really good Swordmaster Severa. PS: A forged Killing Edge works as well as a Sol Katti in case you don't have that.
As someone who based his marriages purely on stat growths and skill trees (OK, not purely as if that were the case, I should have wed Tharja to Donnel instead of Frederick just so that I could have one more Galeforce user instead of better stats outside of Luck and less class diversity) and had no prior knowledge to the support conversations before formulating them for his first run, I can confirm that Lon'qu definitely made Severa more of an offensive beast than if I had wed Cordelia to Kellam or Stahl, both of whom I favor more in terms of shipping over Lon'qu (plus, I like the idea of Lon'qu with Cherche over Cordelia). The only thing she'd need though aside from Armsthrift is Limit Breaker as Lon'qu doesn't provide Severa with enough Luck to make Armsthrift alone prevent Sol Katti/Amatsu/Ragnell/whatever A rank weapon you give her from breaking...at least without spending a round having someone use a Hammerne on her breaking blade. As for her character, I don't dislike her as she's one of the more bearable Tsunderes to me (Kjelle's probably my least favorite child character if I had to choose; too bland and doesn't really develop from her supports. Plus she's kind of stand offish to the others, which given her character makes sense, but you can't be a one man army as even Priam can admit. Ike can, but he derives his strength from his allies whom he fights so hard for. Kjelle? Her only drive is to grow stronger by herself so...yeah...good luck with that...(I will admit though that her strength and defense boosts from Gregor make her a pretty hefty wall of a General, and the Boots I gave her certainly help)), but Tsunderes aren't my cup of tea either so she's OK. Oddly enough though, I haven't heard many bad things about Inigo (aside from people who don't like the fact that his name is just a reference to The Princess Bride and that Azure is a better name) and have always found him to be a pretty cool guy. Love his support convos though.
Also...you do realize that Gregor has the Myrmidon class as well, right? This means that Severa can still Astra + Sol Katti those Pavise+ Generals all the same with a little less skill but more strength. The only things Severa would lose by having Gregor as her father instead of Lon'qu are some stat growths, which are minor compared to losing some class diversity. Gregor's Barbarian branch becomes Severa's Troubadour branch, but the Mercenary branches overlap between Cordelia and Gregor while Severa loses access to the Wyvern Rider and Thief branches and the skills that come with them, which aren't too essential but now Breaker Severa is now out of the question due to losing both Swordbreaker and Lancebreaker, Lucky 7 is now gone, Severa can't move quite as far without Movement+1, Deliverer, or Acrobat in rough terrain, and Severa really doesn't need anything to enhance Magic unless she's a Sorcerer/Dark Knight/Sage/Valkyrie/Dark Flier (and why should she be? Her magic caps would suck compared to other full time mages like Laurent or Miriel unless you paired Cordelia up with Magic!Robin, Henry, or Ricken)...although, she would have access to Berseker/Warrior/Barbarian skills like Counter and Axefaire via inheritance, and her Dual Support+ would go nice with your Gerome pair, especially if he carries his own Dual Support+ from Cherche.
You make a fine point. In the end. I played this game for over 400 hours but there are some pairings I haven't even tried. Experimentation is part of the fun in an RPG, right? And you're right about the Limit Breaker being needed. I do use that on her. As well as most of my characters. It was kinda necessary in order to beat Apotheosis secret route. What I lacked in that map was a sniper. Noire was fathered by Libra when I should have had Gaius father her like I did my second file. So I made her a Sorcerer. I had to completely go outta my way to find a good Sniper for Apotheosis secret route until I finally recruited Streetpass Jaffar. Because he has Galeforce, YAY. And a very high skill modifier so as a sniper maxed out with Limit Breaker. He was able to activate Luna with rallies pretty much all the time. Mopped up enemy units with Cynthia like a champ. Both boosting each other with their Galeforce and him having Armsthrift meaning his forged Brave Bow AND Double Bow won't break. Him having Aggressor and Luna meaning he'll destroy his enemies (Except the Aegis + ones) I underestimated Streetpass characters. I thought they were only good as rally bots. I was wrong.
