Thank you. I am the one who requested the tutorial n a zebra when I saw the big one on the wall during one of you other tutorials. I can see it is quiet a challenge and way beyond me now. however I am going to practice and practice on doing the strips until I feel confident in try this.
Love this. Another great video. I am always so happy when I see how easy you make it look. Makes me want to try this for sure. Thanks for your great work that you share with us.
OMG! How did you ever come up with that technique????? I am amazed! I have a question. Is the Zebra mane veregated black and white? I can't remember. Any way, I totally enjoyed this episode.
I just want to let you know when two or three episodes of watched you I've learned more and I have six months have been doing them you're an awesome painter and I love watching your videos
American with a new word.._Bullshitingly. Lovely tutorial. Subscribing SO MUCH BETTER THAN CORRECTING ( didn't mean to yell with caps) The white line By correcting the black stripe but the black mistake still shines through ...Neverending. thank you.
Hey Ian, me again... Just figured I would take a chance and ask this question, but since you do Zebras, (Incredible Zebras I might add) do you think you could do a tutorial with a horse???? I would really love to see your version of a horse. Doesn't just have to be the head of the horse, but ANY WAY you preferred, I'm just hoping to see you do one someday. (Thanks in advance for reading my comment) - From Mary in P.E.I. Canada. :)
Ian I want to paint some zebras. When you painted this one did you have retarder mixed into your different grays before you started applying them to your canvas?
no retarder was in my greys, when blending small areas i dont use it as i can merg the colors together before they dry, i only use retarder when i know i will blend a big area like a sky with clouds or a colourful back ground.
yeah, i know what i want to say but when it comes out i say the other, same with pallet and easel i get those said wrong way around as well, but its ok.
Thank you Ian, best tutorial I have watched on painting a Zebra. To an Aussie bloke from an Aussie 'Sheila', onya mate!!!
