Honestly I think this really depends on the person and their up-bringing, not necessarily their salary.

Jade Madden Not really. High income earners have more need on business clothing for business purpose. So their demand on high price tag clothe are higher compared to the low income earners.

Most people only pay attention to youth, health, hygiene and beauty anyway which have nothing to do with what you wear most of the time. the models they use to try to sell you clothing are beautiful on their own it has nothing to do with the object they are advertising.

I shop Goodwill and garage sales. I always get compliments on my outfits. My Christmas dress was a vintage satin brocade mandarin dress I bought at an estate sale for $5.

I heard a similar saying " we buy expensive quality clothes, because we are too poor to afford buying new clothes every now and then"

Right, fast fashion is unfortunately advertising itself as “cheap”, but in the long run it will cost you more since fast fashion pieces tend to fall apart faster. Understandable if you are buying for your kids at those places, but as an adult it is muuuuch more of a smart thing to buy brands that hold up! Just learn how to save and sort out your other expenses first.

That's what I do. I only try to shop if I find good brands with great deals. If you keep looking you may be able to find 70% off. Right now I just bought a good pair of name brand winter boots on sale, I went to Forever 21 to buy exercise clothes and sweaters only because they had a $3 sale, now I'm not buying anything until I find a good winter coat. I don't make much since i am still a university student, so I am focusing on my savings. I will keep the same habits even after I graduate, though.

On sale or used and they’re actually super affordable. They never fall apart. Buy staples and basics and you’re set for a decade.

Whenever I need a new shirt or pants or something I go to the thrift store Lmao. But that’s rare, since I wear t shirts and jeans mainly.
