He could have adapted to the changing times because he was multi-talented in dancing, acting, singing and comedy...he was doing what most comedians did during those times and you have to consider this was a Playboy production and a roast...it was meant to be offensive.
I know two things. One is that Dick Shawn blows this the f@&k up without saying a word. Respect. And two is that I love Tommy Chong. If you never have, go listen to the WTF w Cheech and Chong. Their story is truly amazing and Tommy’s alone is insane. Spoiler, for one thing, he was in a Motown band called Bobby Taylor & the Vancouvers and one night Bobby’s opening support act were a little band called The Jackson Five.
I remember seeing Carl Skenes catch a bullet in a little box in his mouth on that's incredible. Saw him another time and it was a little off and it hit his lip. It made it in the box but it nearly hair lipped him
Man this comedy would not stand today all the snowflakes would be screaming racism and everything else but back then it was Comedy and everyone was fine with it. I wish we had those days again when we could make fun of each other and no one would get triggered over it like today.
Reelback - the year was 1986, not 1982... just fyi. Thank you for posting this, it is hysterical!
They wasn't ready for Marsha. 😂😂💖
HELL NAW!!!!!!!!!
Hells YaY!! I actually miss her. She been gone a long time now 😭
@@shaneculkin7124 She’s been back on the scene doing stand up again for a couple of years now.
She performed well here.
@45:53 the pretty legs on the brunette with the short gold colored skirt.
TOMMY WAS CRACKIN UP WHEN MARSHA WAS UP THERE.
This needs to be on DVD!
Ms. Marsha was a beast!!!!
This was from 1986. Cheech's Born in East L.A. was discussed and the Springsteen song wasn't out until 1984...
Yep I looked up the video credits it said it's from 1986
Well I'll be damned. Detective John Munch. Wow. Gotta love TH-cam. I always find out something new.
Marsha Warfield is so lovely 🌹
Dick Shawn was my kind of comic , bizarre , but extremely creative and talented
Seinfeld barely even mentioned Chong, he just did a standup routine lol.
That is what Marsha Warfield did was her stand up routine.
That's because he is completely wrapped up in himself. He is probably unaware that any other people exist.
She was very pretty
Marsha has good delivery and timing, she doesn't try to rush the joke. Richard Pryor gave Marsha her real break.
On the platform, up for grabs (comedy roast wise anyway)
Slappy's Chinese jokes wouldn't fly today
He could have adapted to the changing times because he was multi-talented in dancing, acting, singing and comedy...he was doing what most comedians did during those times and you have to consider this was a Playboy production and a roast...it was meant to be offensive.
Try watching Dice Clay! Unbelievable.
At a roast it would fly even today. Might even be worse today.
@@sunflowerpwr.8821 Redd wouldn't have adapted shit for anyone or anytime. Lol
Thank-you.

I stole an album (up in smoke) It had the rolling paper as big as the album. It took 3 of us to roll it. Thanks Cheech and Chong
Dick Shawn at 39:50 - he was Andy Kaufman BEFORE Andy Kaufman was Andy Kaufman.
This roast was so good
They did not hold back
I gave it a like for Marsha!
I was working down the street airbrushing t-shirts on the Strip back then. Pretty tame compared to Jeff Ross Roasts.
Pretty sure she roasted Richard Pryor in 1977🤣
Yes, she’s on the dais. That is one awesome strange ass time capsule of a roast.
Slappy WHite & Dick Shawn were by far the two best on this roast.
@reelblack do y’all got the Richard Pryor’s first appearance at the Apollo Theatre on here?? I think it was 1956 or ‘67
1986, not 82
ugh.. why do people find jerry seinfield funny... ugh, oh I know why.
Why? I'm genuinely curious. He's not funny.
Pure Gold
Wondered what had happened to the Ray J. guy!
😂😂🤣🤣🗺️💯🏂🏌️👌🏾✌🏾💙❤️ Always!!
Cheech and Chong were the BOMB!!!
Can kee kee palmer please play Ms. Warfield !!
I remember seeing Carl Skenes catch a bullet in a little box in his mouth on that's incredible. Saw him another time and it was a little off and it hit his lip. It made it in the box but it nearly hair lipped him
dick shawn 39:18 - legendary opening
Jerry Seinfeld is not a roast comic per se , he did do a great monologue.
CAN YOU roast a pot head icon??????????????????, lol
Heavy
There they go with there one eyed God these Lucfuian never cease to amaze me gone
Man this comedy would not stand today all the snowflakes would be screaming racism and everything else but back then it was Comedy and everyone was fine with it. I wish we had those days again when we could make fun of each other and no one would get triggered over it like today.
Y is we up
Gerrymandering was doing comedy in 82
This is great Jerry bombing
🤣🤣🤣
Really? I thought he did good until realized this was from 1986
Where was cheech ?

I take that back. They all were vulgar!
Slappy had too many vulgar words!
tony montana was funny
Seinfeld sucks....That's all
