I’m so happy with this toilet! If you’d like to see how I used the old rv toilet as a ‘composting’ toilet here’s the link- SUPER EASY Hack For An RV Composting Toilet - NO BUILD!! th-cam.com/video/jJ-_lDmMMl4/w-d-xo.html
This was a God send seeing this video this morning! Sewer hose nightmare after this last move. Do the woodpelletts decompose the solids? I know it would probably be costly for me to purchase that. But I am definitely considering it. Thanks for posting.
@@marykrigbaum9021 Hi Mary! I can just imagine your nightmare! yikes!! The woodpellets don’t decompose the solids, but they do dry them out. We don’t leave ‘things’ in there for long though. If it’s just me, I will change the bag every 2-3 days. If my husband is also using it, I change it daily. I chose the pellets purely because I already bring them for Gracie’s litter box. They don’t track like other litter and have a pleasant woody smell. One less thing to bring. You can use regular kitty litter, leaves, dirt, wood shavings like used in a hamster cage, or the blocks of coconut coir. With this kind of composting toilet, unless you are actually adding it to a compost, it doesn’t really matter what you use. In most cases it will go into the garbage and into the landfill. People who use these types of toilets generally are travellers and don’t have composting bins, lol! But they are certainly easier to deal with over the black tank! I hope you figure out your situation. All the best and thanks so much for watching the video ❤️-Sue
@HoneyandMe I'm not on the road like you are. But RV Park Living isn't that easy either! I let 2 inexperienced men move my trailer, and now I don't have hot water. Another mess. Happy trails.
So there’s no air/exhaust fan, no trap door to block the back view, and a ridiculously tiny pee container? Sorry, but I checked and it costs nearly $500 once tax is added for that glorified bucket. Haha… NOPE! I’m glad you got it for free and you’re happy with it.
@@I_Am_SciCurious I think the joy in this unit is it doesn’t have all the surplus stuff. It’s not a Natures Head, which is a permanent toilet and cost way more. I agree, the pee container could be larger, but it is a small toilet. And let’s be honest. How many RVers and vanlifers actually compost?? If you live in a moving vehicle, you are not going to be carting around a compost bin on your back bumper. I think the whole ‘composting’ craze is a misnomer. It’s really just a way to avoid sani dumps and black tanks. Lol! Thanks for your take on it though! I appreciate all perspectives👍
Whatever works for you is great! It’s a cool toilet, and I’m thrilled with it, but again, we all find our own solution. I find the blue collapsible urine bottles work really well if you are just looking gorgeous a urine container. Thanks for watching and sharing your solution!

This would be great at the cabin too!
@@LittleCabinintheYukon Perfect for off grid cabin life!
Very interesting. I hadn't had to deal with this before. You really had trial and error. I am glad you found Trelino.
@@ColoradoMartini Thanks for watching, Denise! I’m so glad too! Solved my toilet issues!
This looks like such a simple way to switch to a composting toilet! I'll check them out for sure. Thanks for sharing.

Toilets, can't live without them but most just don't want to talk about them. Dirty topic.😂👍
@@NorthernRetreat 🤣🤣🤣🤣So true!
@HoneyandMe Deluge of rain last night. Creek raised a foot, literally and mushrooms are everywhere. When do you head back to the cabin?

Oh no! I’m so sorry, Mary. I hope you can get it sorted. Best of everything❤️
I have a 5 gallon bucket with 2 small trash bags in it. Tie it up and drop in trash can with every use.
@@ghostofreagan3181 Good design! Thanks for sharing!
People are gonna need this when the SHTF. I don't think plumbing is gonna work in a long lasting Scenario.
Yes, that is something to consider as well. Good point👍👍

Similar to my Boxio.
Cool! I think I saw them on Amazon too. Thanks for checking out the video!
I use a bucket with plastic bag and pellets but only for urine works great and much cheaper than this toilet
