I think the reliant robin space shuttle is the most outlandish, ridiculous, crazy stunt ever done on TV. They could have made a multple-episode series about it alone, but it's just a part of 1 episode of TG. Incredible.
The Reliant space shuttle was truly & really a thing* to behold ! * Words fail me ! However, one of the first Top Gear -anything that I saw... ...was the south America jungle special. I can't decide on what's funnier, Hammond cursing back at James on the radio and others hearing it or the door opening randomly in the cheapest class lol.

Pretty much like the others are saying so far into your comment it's actually based on music rights for the regions in which this was sold not everyone gets the same music as the original BBC so it's different from country to Country I feel your pain it's gut punchingly terrible.
It honestly sounds like a bit of stock audio that they might use a lot of in different things. I'm sure there might be someone on X/Twitter that could help.
Waiting for the day we see “Richard and James’ unseen clips from the Porsche Panemera VS Royal Mail challenge” which consists entirely of Richard and James talking to each other on the journey
@@topmandog1 I know the one you mean but i'd love to see an hour long uncut segment from the episode to make it like a podcast, as that seems all the trend these days.
@@topmandog1 Not true, anything the BBC films goes in an archive. They have an archive channel on youtube publishing things from a VERY long time ago. One of the clips they've published are from 1955. If they have that, they'll definitely have some uncut or unreleased sections from Top Gear I doubt they'll have everything ever filmed, but most certainly lots of stuff no one outside of the editing team has seen. Like the armoured fiat panda for example. Only a small clip less than 5 seconds and a section of a top gear magazine was it ever featured. They 100% have that in the archive.
As for Hammond's underwater stunt, in Germany in the 1970s we saw several families of four in cars sinking into a deep pool in a live show on German public television in front of running cameras. Take that you ...
I'd not seen the Reliant Robin shuttle before. Nice work! I'm also not convinced they actually ever meant for it to separate, knowing how they feel about that car!

To be honest I think that the fact that top gear, launched a reliant robin, into the clouds? With a budget of? Makes NASA and SpaceX look like donkeys!
this is not the current version. Top gear as a show is dead, and before it died it was not the same anymore as what it was when these 3 were presenters.
What I think people fail to understand is just how much money this program cost! At the expense of everything else! I know they sold it around the world but, it's not like the profits went anywhere except except to the few! Great stuff I loved it but license payers to the BBC were ripped off,big time.
Which stunt is your favourite?
That stunt when the trio left the show and it TG turned into.. well whatever it is now 🤣
