11:10 Pop Figures are very expensive for non moving barely detailed shelf warmers, even more so over seas, so when a kid asks their parent "I wan tha thingy cuz da big youtuba has a bunch" the parent is thankful that there's a much much cheaper alternative, also the knockoffs tend to be bigger than the real ones so a smart parent can trick their kid into believing what they got is a super exclusive extra edition to dissuade the kid from asking for more.

I remember a number of years back that I saw some "Transmogrifiers" for sale at a gas station. I wanted to buy one before they got pulled from the shelves due to a lawsuit. I bought "Starholler". He was one of the virtuabots and was sworn to oppose the evil deceivocons. Oh, and the back of the packaging with the backstory was hilarious if you know anything about the wannabes, the Transformers. The back of the packaging lays out the story of the Transmogrifiers... if you could read it. The font was quite blurry for whatever reason.

They are a norwegian chocolate owned by Freia who is owned by mondalez and is the reason why Kitkat who is owned by neslè is not allowed to take copyright of the four fingered chocolate bar as this is inadmissable since they technically are as old as eachother.

@@w.reidripley1968 The thing with China is that there are very few domestic companies that have enough of a global audience to bother investing in English services and the like (think Hoyoverse, the makers to Genshin Impact).
The rest of them might include something foreign for the sake of looking unique (or being lazy). Usually the translation for these things is dreadful.

11:45 - The funny thing is there's actually a completely reasonable explanation for why SO MANY of the Chinese knockoff Transformers use "Deformation" as their name or at least in the description. Basically it's a case of using 'cheap and cheerful' translation from English to Chinese and then translating *that* back to English for the boxes - IIRC the same characters are used for 'transform' and 'deform', so when you use a very literal translation back, "deformation" is what you get.

10:21 here in brazil it was very common to see modded GTA:SA discs being sold by street vendors back in the 2000s, they (mostly/are supposed to) run in jailbroken PS2s. there are a lot of videos about both the good copies and the goofy ones on TH-cam.
Edit: also, you can still find them being sold in some places, as street vendors sometimes have them. and also there is an AMAZING rom hack of PES soccer being sold to this day called Bomba Patch, the game is (as advertised) always 100% updated, with new players, uniforms and teams to play.
